WR: Excellent. A recent search for a bike for my kiddo led me to BS. The staff was great. Due to various factors, we actually ended up finding the best bike for our specific needs at a different store. Inventories are pretty hit or miss these days, post COVID. But BS was so good, I felt they deserved a shout out anyway. My goal is to find a way to spend some money at Bicycle Shack over the summer out of gratitude for how we were treated despite not getting a new bike here. I think a couple of our bikes might need service, and I'll be coming to BS to kind of pay them back so to speak.

Nathan Roberts: Hands down the best customer experince I've had at a bike shop. The owners were very friendly and knowlegable on the ins and outs of bikes, local trails, and gear. The prices were good and comparable to what I seen at other shops and online retailers. I'm 6'5'' so I was suprised that they had xlarge sized hybrid bikes which are a great fit for me. This is now my go-to bike shop.PS: I never write reviews but I feel like anyone looking for a bike in Lee's Summit/South KC should definitely visit this shop.

Austin Althaber: I absolutely love the service here.In 2021 Jason fixed a wheel for me that another bike shop in LS messed up, and did so incredibly quickly.Just last week I took the bike in for rear brake pad replacement and a bleed, and Jason gave the entire bike a tune up (chain care, checked the tires, tightened my aerobars and even the bottle cages that rattled), changed the pads, bled the lines, and it cost me $25. They go above and beyond in their service and genuinely love their craft. I've had nothing but great experiences here.

I was in search of a bicycle rack for use with my trailer hitch, as I have 2 TREK bicycles, and like to travel in sometimes rough terrain. I was provided prompt attention. Given a tour of the various products in stock within the store, including not only the benefits, but also potential deficits of each. This including a vast assortment of price points to select from, and hints as to future use (i.e. if this rack would support an eBike if I chose to have one in the future). After purchase, installation was provided on the product, and hands on education for use.I did not purchase my bicycle from this location, but they do appear to have a broad selection of products in house, including repair services, and info on local bicycling related events and activities. Definitely a place where I will return.On a side note, I grew up riding whatever bicycle was on sale from the local box store. We spent a lot of time doing repairs, and fixes on these purchases, often requiring replacements every so many years. I had in my mind the concept that a brand such as TREK was high end, expensive, and out of reach for a person such as myself. I have recently reconsidered my preconceived notions. The entire TREK line up is of high quality, which means once you purchase the product, with proper maintenance, it can truly last a lifetime. They service what they sale, and warranties are present. Also, with periodic sales and events, there is an entire range of price points to accomodate even the most conservative end of the spectrum (all the way up to the lightweight svelte titanium racers).

Albert Gertskis: The whole crew - especially Christian and Eranne(the people we worked with most) - was very helpful in getting my and my girlfriend's bikes with no pressure to buy anything. We also got some things for my girlfriend's bike (e.g. bags, etc.) that were attached by Christian and another bicycle mechanic right after we tested out the bike. Everyone was very patient, courteous, and helpful. My girlfriend's bike didn't fit in her car and without even asking for his help, Christian came out and said he would deliver her bike for us the next day. I highly recommend you buy any bikes or equipment from here.

It's hard to blame that on the shop, though, since most shops have been getting ran through since COVID happened. Staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I've purchased 2 bikes from them and both times have been satisfied with my experience and they have been quick to answer any questions I have.
