01000101 01111010: I watched an 80+ year old veteran struggle to fill out the gun form on a tiny tablet while the employee offered zero help, and even told two other customers that they couldn't help him.They need a few paper forms for people who aren't good with newer tech. I can't believe they haven't been sued for discrimination against the elderly.

Emma Carter: Not super happy with this place. Got a 200$ gift card and I was looking for steel toe work boots. Greeter at the door said nothing even though we hesitated because we'd never been there before. Find the shoe isle and I couldn't find the women's work boots. I am fine with mens work boots as they have a bigger selection, but I had trouble finding the right kind and right fit. I tried several times to find litteraly anyone to help even point me in the right direction but nobody was anywhere and I walked up and down the store trying to find someone but I only saw customers. Maybe they were short of staff but its frustrating to not be able to navigate a new store.

David Dabbs: You need to watch out on their sales. We buy what we thought was on sale and they charge us full price. They said it was not marked with a sticker. Nothing was marked with a sticker. It had a sale sign about it that said on sale for 6.99. Management blames the employee for not marking them BS.

Lane Cooper: I've been going to this store more and more as my outdoor equipments needs have grown. Up until now the people were always nice and friendly. Unfortunately, it just takes one rude night supervisor (I believe that was her postion), to change that. So yes it was 9:57 as I was waiting for another person before checking out, and in Natzi fashion she informed me I had to check out "NOW." From there she went out to the front to stand guard like a bull dog looking for a chance to growl at anyone who might approach the front doors. Beyond rude, almost abusive. Not that this posting will mean anything the store owners, but I really don't want to go back to that store.

That way people have the knowledge of your rule before the customer is scolded and humiliated by the employee. Sticking to Bass Pro for all future business.

Brad Dieckmann: I just wanted to give academy sports a shout out for going above and beyond. I had an incident with my Methican American neighbors and the Belton PD took my gun from me. Once the prosecutor saw the video, I was absolved of the accusations and was told to come get my gun. Well, turns out I needed a receipt from when and where I bought it... Enter Academy sports. The manager made me up a document sufficient to retrieve my firearm from the police property room. Thank you to that manager for helping me out. Great store. Good people. I highly recommend... Saved me a lot of money by helping me out.

However, things took a turn for the worse when the staff member in charge of pickups gave us the wrong size and left the security tag on.As we were leaving the store, the alarm went off, and the staff member directed us to use the exit door, but the alarm sounded again. It turned out that he had forgotten to remove the security tag and didn't know how to do it.We had to check whether we had been given the correct size and discovered that we had been given a large instead of the xs we had ordered. Due to his carelessness, we had to search for the correct size ourselves and asked another staff member who was folding clothes to help us locate it.Returning the wrong size and exchanging it for the correct one was a bit of a hassle. The cashier told us that it required us to undergo an entirely new process! What a waste of time! Overall, the experience was disappointing. NEVER buy stuff from here online, I wouldn't recommend it.

Jim Harris: Academy Sports is a great place to shop for many items. I go for their work boot selection. Their prices are competitive and usually comparable to other sports-type stores. Their staff is always pleasant. You are greeted at the door with a "welcome" every time. They truly appreciate their customers!
