Heartland Camps & Retreat Center: what do users think?
Ethan Shoe: Came here for a retreat with my campus ministry. Definitely exceeded my expectations. There's lots of land to spread out for small groups and there are lots of spaces for activities like 9-square, basketball, and a pool for swimming. They accommodated us really well and I couldn't have asked for more. Shout out to the slide that gets you from the top of the hill down to Pete's Cabin.
Mario Gonzalez: Lindo lugar de relajasion y para ebentos .
VudoMamaJuju: The staff were friendly and accommodating! It was an cold and icy weekend and the staff made sure the parking lots and sidewalks were clear for us. It was a great location for our retreat!
eer3345 (eer3345): I've been going there for six years now, It is a great way for teenagers like me to get off my Electronics and enjoy life for a while without the worries of life and more, Heartland Camps is one of the best places and most the time you will have a great time.
Jeremy B: Our kids spent a summer here and really had a good time. The Christian based camp is one I highly recommend as they spend time studying the bible each day in order to grow closer to Christ. They have horseback riding and tons of trails to explore through the woods. They even took old shoes one day and walked down a shallow creek which was a favorite. There are archery lessons and swim lessons and plenty of time spent playing in the pool. For the older kids there is a continuous belay and zip line. They have provide lunches in the cafeteria and there is time spent working on crafts and singing songs. The kids loved to play Gaga Ball (or Octo Ball) and spent time roasting hot dogs and eating marshmallows. They even had a family day where we got to go and use the ropes course (continuous belay), zip line, horseback riding and use the pool all afternoon. Highly recommend if you need a play to send your kids during the summer.
Matt Peppes: Great place for a retreat! The grounds are beautiful and offer very nice accommodations and community rooms!
Jeff Mueller: I went to camp here as a kid in the 80s/early 90s. My kids and their cousins have now been coming here for years, and they enjoy it just as much as I did! A lot has changed, but there are still several things just as I remember them.
Jasmine Samuels: I did horse camp this summer and it was amazing, we got to stay in the A-frames and they weren't that bad, the staff, food, and grounds are fantastic! I made so many new friends this year, I had amazing consulars, Jenna, Britteny, and Cam are the best. Thank you heartland you filled me with a lot of new memories and I learned more about God.
Kellie Harvey: I want to camps here years ago and now get to send my son. Wonderful loving people and fun environment.
Michael Coddington: Great Scouting weekend camp site.
katherine marie: I've been going here for 8 years and don't plan on stopping! I love it there.
Carlos Portillo: I have hosted two youth camps here and we love it. Great staff and wonderful venue.
Steve Miller: The hospitality is wonderful and the accommodations are perfect for the environment. Great place to get away from it all and reconnect
A Google User: Thank you for new shower heads! Thanks to Emma for her help and Rebecka for her last minute service. Our group had a great place to have our retreat. Your dining services were superb.

Lake Doniphan Conference: what do users think?
Isabelle Brush: As a camper here i absolutely love this place it has a wonderful view the pool is great i love how nice the staff is im exited to go back this year!
Makala W: It's so heavenly, you get to get away from home and have fun with friends. You get to go swimming, boating and fishing. The counselors, CIT's, pastors and other staff are so fun and nice. I love going there every year!
Carlos Lopez Diaz: I love this pace so much I will always come to lake doniphan.
Soren Sablan: This is a great campground! I’m part of the yearly camp: Camp MOJA. Everyone enjoys being here and so do I
Chris Stanley: God this place... It might do fine as a kids camp or even as a passable retreat but it certainly isn't good or at all as it advertises itself. I'm thankful we were in the main Lodge because the cabins are tiny with a bunk bed crammed in and about 3 square feet of walking space. Half of our guests weren't provided sheets big enough for the bed provided which was not corrected. Is there Wi-Fi? Yes. Does it connect to the internet? No. Is there food made on site? Yes. Does it taste good? Never. Slimy spinach, soggy cold fries, inedible lasagna, rubbery eggs, the works! Will they close the kitchen early and the chef come out and eat breakfast right in front of you while you enjoy your cold cereal? Yep! The lake is okay but is on the small side. Kayaks and canoes are freely available and mostly seem to work well which is nice. I didn't use the pool but did note that it lacks lounge chairs. And that's... The "conference center" is a largish linoleum room with dirty plastic collapsible tables. So yep, if you choose Doniphan for your corporate retreat needs, you've been warned.
Tanya Caldwell: Excellence
