charles small: Amanda, Josh and Chris are working very hard on improvements. A few residents are helping we now have a wall of honor for our great veterans. It is quiet and safe here. The activity dir. is working on things to include everyone. Anyone looking should check this complex out.
Gracie Foster: Moved from the inner city thinking the place would be nicer. But they are only more expensive. This place has no maintenance, no management. Corporate sends someone in to collect the money. DO NOT RECCOMMEND!!!

Sylvia Hixson: I moved here because I no longer wanted the responsibility of a house.Unfortunately my AC needs to bereplaced and I am getting no help. I humidity in my apt is 90. I am not able to stay there because of asthma and heart condition. This has been going on for over a month. I cannot get ahold of anyone to help me with this. I realize this company has financial problems (after I moved in)but I pay my rent and expect the management to hold up their end of the contract. The manager is leaving and I am unable to get contacts to even talk about this issue.
Kay Brengarth: I have lived here for 5+ years. I was in love with my apartment until the company that manages the building just want to collect the rent and Never keep the bldg in good repair. I understand that they are in financial difficulty. This is why they can't fix and update our bulding.
Randy Hunting: Always a good experience when I get to visit here while delivering HyVee or WalMart grocery orders. The grounds and facilities are always clean&bright and kept up.

Nichole Jounson: This place has gone down hill since moving in. The leasing/property manager doesn’t work out of this facility so she is never here. We had a great maintenance and activities manager, unfortunately, both men have quit and the leasing manager said we can’t afford to replace them. There is absolutely nobody we can contact in the event of an emergency. We no longer have any managements phone number.We used to have activities, parties, movies, exercise classes, dinners, etc. Now there is no type of management on-site to unlock the door for the exercise class, enter the Netflix password for us to watch movies, and have been told we now have to pay for parties because the former employees spent too much on our activities.The trash is piling up, floors are not being mopped or vacuumed, since there is no maintenance. The first floor apartments froze all winter, when the heat turns on the cold air return turns on first, blowing cold air into each apartment.I am writing this review in hope that a Corporate Manager will make the necessary changes to replace and hire a property manager that cares about their property and tenants. Corporate really needs to do a check in at this location.I would love to write another review in a few months that shows five stars like it was when I moved in!
Carol Beem: Excellent Senior Apartments. Prices fair but rentals are going up. They may quickly be out of the reach of seniors on fixed incomes.

I let management know this morning. Anyway, I love it here. The Staff is fantastic and the rooms are huge! This is by far the best I have found anywhere and I looked for over a year. Mary Ann Hogan: Keep your loved ones as far as possible from this awful 'home.' It should have raised my suspicions when they had 2 empty suites and during my weekend visit with my parents from out of town. By the time I left in a few days, another one was empty because a resident moved out. Now three suites empty, while the other VA approved facility had a long, long waiting list. My mother was admitted as being able to take care of herself and (supposedly) able to get up and walk out in an emergency or fire drill. She had been incontinent for 3 years and couldn't stand up for the past 3 years without considerable help. I guess this facility wanted the $$ so badly they decided to take her. As soon as she was admitted they immediately began to shame her for her incontinence, her inability to get out of a seated position without help, and for how much work their staff had to devote to her. I visited a few weeks after she was admitted and the experience remains a living nightmare in my mind. The staff, and even the women who were seated at her assigned dining table, shunned her. Golden Living Assisted Living drained her pre-paid 3 months and then evicted her. 3 months of shame, and threats. ("If you can't GET up and GET out of your chair and WALK out to the parking lot you will be THROWN out of here!" was yelled repeatedly in her face.) I know that my sibling really wanted her to be in this awful place for reasons of his own, but it's the facilities responsibility to follow procedures to admit only qualified residents. If they had even followed the most basic procedures for her admittance she wouldn't have been put through hell. Basic procedures could have saved my mother from 3 months of verbal abuse and humiliation at 94 years of age. She died in the following months at the neighboring Golden Living Nursing home which was, at least, fit for her needs.
Carla Scott: My Mother has been living in Assisted Living for over 6 years and she considers it her home. She has been well taken care of with dignity. I never knew a gentleman named Mac in the above review and I think I would know since its only a 20 bed facility. Visit this facility for yourself or your loved one.
Mac Thomas: My dear father was placed here by hospice for respite care for my mother. He was 89 years old and had just celebrated 68 years of marriage to my mother. Within 24 hours of arrival, his $2,000. engraved, wedding band was stolen, he received a rough and cold shower from an aide and went into a depression. We filed a police report on the stolen ring, filed a complaint with the facility and hospice and Dad was brought home and cared for by hospice his remaining days. Back to the ring; though we were able to determine who stole the ring (she took it off of him in the cold shower), and have witnesses to state he was wearing the ring when he arrived, receipts from the jeweler, the facility is still denying the claim after Dad's death and two months of reminders for my mother, having to fight the insurance.DO NOT trust these people with your loved one. They do not take responsibility for anything. You might as well put your loved one in a cold basement. If I could have given this place ZERO stars, I would have, but I had to give one, just to put this review in.

Southend Printing Co: Left my 80 y/o grandmother covered in s*** on Mother’s Day and her birthday!! Had to track down a nurse to give her a shower….DONT GO HERE. Neglected patients and under trained staff that doesn’t care. Everything gets stolen from my grandmother and they also left a weeks worth of fecal matter covered bed sheets in her room and we found them on Mother’s Day when we visited.Do better

Luke Bucher: The Independent Living at The Groves is great. It has everything you need plus a coffee bar and a hot tub. The neighbors are friendly and a lot of them have lived here for years.
Tim Williamson: Dad was cared for with dignity and respect during his stay here. Hospice care was exceptional. He was always clean and dressed when I visited (daily).
Gabriella Mcdowell: As an employee here it is such a great place with genuinely caring people! The residents and staff alike are well taken care of.
Stephanie Weber: Spending a lot of time getting to know the staff and visiting all the floors the past month. I am very impressed with the care and love shown to the residents and the attentiveness of the staff to their needs even if it’s just a hug or a kind word. The Groves is going above and beyond to make the community even busier socially for the residents and the staff. I have been very impressed and look forward to what else is to come!

Nancy Huffaker: Would not recommend. My mom's clothes kept disappearing when sent to laundry. Would get food she wasn't able to eat. Had a total of 5 different rooms during her stay. Final rooms on dementia floor and things kept coming up missing. Took her motorized wheelchair away and no one knows where it is
Gina Brown: Struggle to rate this as a 3. The food is hit and miss and struggles on seasoning. Either too salty/peppery or not enough. Short staffed all the time it seems like with nursing and dietary. I think staff needs to check on residents more often, residents shouldn't have to sit in wet diapers. Housekeeping is sadly lacking. For the most part the nurses I have seen with my mom have been wonderful.

Melissa Kelly-Foxhoven: No Just No. Run down. Staff is rude and is not trained medically. Gross food. No air conditioning. Filthy. Run! I am very happy to provide pictures of the holes in the ceilings, plastic covered doorways, non-functioning bathrooms with toilets and hallway, holes in floor, and proof of bed bugs.
Tonya Shelton: There is nothing about this place that is positive other than it provides a location where residents can walk to the square and to a store. Filthy, run-down, rude unprofessional staff, negligent. No, no, no, not ever.

Ted Brownrigg: I can only say the best of things about The Fountains at Greenbriar. I helped my Dad move in in 2022. Our experience moving in was great and his stay was excellent until his passing. Everyone who works here is friendly, helpful and caring. Dad truly enjoyed his time here. I want to thank everyone at The Fountains for making his last days happy and peaceful. You did good. Thank you. Be proud of your work.

J.E. Watson: This place needs a lot of help. It started out great 2 1/2 yrs ago then gradually went downhill. Can't blame it all on covid......just poor leadership at the top. Glad to be out, but then they STOLE money out of my checking account after moving out. Just another example of how that place is running. Finally today that has been fixed, money is back in my account. They had 60 days notice to figure out how to stop charging me after my move out. Hope it improves soon for the ones who aren't able to move.

I have an aunt that has lived here for 5+ years and she tells me the Human Resources and the way the staff is treated is horrible. Would give zero stars if I could. Overall this is the most sorry excuse for a "home" one could possibly fathom. I would not advise anybody live or work here.

Friendly, helpful staff, EXCEPT for the three women who were in the executive office, who were cold, impersonal, uncaring. Their whole demeanor ruin a wonderful place to live.if I had met them 1st,The Fountains would have been crossed off the lisy of plaves to consider.
