Audrey Moore: This ends up being a go to spot when I can convince my ❤️ to hang out in my neck of KC, because it's close it's open last 8 (usually) and they have all the weekend essentials: food, booze and entertainment. I'm leaving this review in particular because we stopped in super bowl Sunday (2/13/22) and Cami the manager (sorry if spelling is wrong)was the sole employee working for the entirety of the time I was there (I think there was someone in the kitchen but they must not have been qualified or able to help with anything else because I don't even know what they looked like) She was super friendly, efficient and transparent about the situation with every one that came in. I personally witnessed her dismantling a ball return to unjam the works and saw her sprinting to behind the lanes to fix other issues, all the while still crafting super bowl cocktails and refilling sodas AND checking on guests in the billiards room. I really hope that's she being paid for ALL the jobs she was fulfilling yesterday which was a minimum of at least 4 by my count. If she's not..... well. Cami, all the world is hiring and you, my badass lady, you deserve to be a valued and cherished member of a team that appreciates you. (and I may know of a good place that thrives on hustle and will be needing additions soon, see if lake lotawana is a doable drive 😉)

Kristin Evans: This place is amazing! We have come several times. Three times was us and our 16-year-old boys and then two were birthdays and us celebrating with close family and one was a huge event where we invited everyone for one of my fiance's big birthday. They have things for kids, an arcade, the little dinosaur things for the smaller kids to bowl on and then they're great for adult parties, especially with the cocktails as well. We had about 20 people and they easily took care of us and we had a great time. They let you reserve lanes and even have party rooms you can reserve in the back. We got to bring cupcakes and a few decorations for one of the birthdays that was the larger party. It is extremely reasonable on prices. We were even able to order appetizers and food. Great staff and great little find, we love it here!

clyde hinman: Since 1992 I have been popping in to play 9 ball and some table games. Big Bertha is truly an historical draw to itself. There is the active feel of unique history there. Unlike most of your customers, I don't live in the area. I drive from Tulsa, Oklahoma. I hope the pool hall keeps the pool vibe alive. (when I first played there I heard dogs barking....Mike Barnes told me I was crazy...then I found out there was a dog kennel upstairs right above the pool hall..LOL)

Jacob Manning: Classic pool hall, no frills. Featuring 10ft pool table, "Big Bertha". I've never seen another table like it.

Mark West: I've been going to Raytown Rec for a long time.. The tables need work but Big Bertha the 10 Foot pool is playing well and the 3 cushion Billiards table is still in good shape.

Elijah Brink: As the owner's son, I will say that the place looks mighty fine and it's my home away from home. So if you are a dedicated and intrigued pool player, definitely come and check it out. Or if you just want to answer your own inquiries about the place's history.

Jim Green: I needed a pool table moved from a house I am selling to a new location. Action Billiard Service did a fantastic job carefully dismantling the entire pool table and removing it from my basement. They transported the table across town and proceeded to expertly reassemble the table in its new location. The attention to detail during the reassembly process was incredible and the table was set up better than when I originally purchased it. I highly recommend this company if you need a pool table leveled or moved.

Matthew Westra: Not as good as Lee's Summit or North (Edgewood) locations. Portions are smaller, the lunch deal is for one hour of opened table free pool, but it's one for the whole group, not one hour per lunch bought - even with limited hours, such as all tables being locked back up at 2, as with the other locations. It just feels pretty miserly and the guy working said, "gotta make money somehow."So, if you're trapped by location, it's a fine, decent place. However, I won't be returning any time soon.Update - went again and the food was better, in fact, the sandwich was quite good

The atmosphere here is unmatched, and you can tell the owner takes great pride in running his business because you often see him running food and working to help the staff when they’re in the weeds.

My friend's drink wasn't good either, it tasted more like soda. My drink tasted more like water, but one of the waitress' was super nice and friendly.
