Pilates 1901: what do users think?
Amy Scarborough: What can I say about Pilates 1901... a lot! The instructors are amazing!!! My mind ,body and soul has been some amazing and transformational growth these past 2 years with them. The amount of knowledge and training these ladies have is so rewarding. I get so much out of all the classes I take. They are always hands on and make sure your form is correct so you can get the most out of your workouts. I would personally start with private sessions so you can learn the principals and techniques. You will find a friendly and warm up lifting atmosphere and one of the best workouts in town. Try them.

Mika: Lisa the owner/instructor was great. She was knowledgeable, patient & kind. It was my first experience with Pilates and I enjoyed it.

Pilates of Kansas City: what do users think?
Marguerite Lucas: Hands down the best Pilates studio in Kansas City! The instructors are all so knowledgeable, especially if you are post partum. No class is ever the same. Cannot recommend enough!
Katie Kenton: After a 18 month hiatus I decided to get back into Pilates and do something for myself. I have a hard time taking time for myself between work and a kiddo. Going to classes and my one on ones with Shannon is something I look forward to each week. I love the studio and all the instructors are incredible!I always leave feeling more confident then I walked in. Thank you all 💗
R.T.: I am so in love with Pilates of KC. I am so glad I joined. It’s changed my life. Everyone is so great!
Amy Brown: Pilates of KC has an upscale, boutique vibe while maintaining a relaxed and comfortable place to get an amazing workout (and meet cool people ☺️). The instructors are all very knowledgeable and caring and there is a good variety of classes that meet the needs of varying levels. I definitely recommend PKC for a unique and effective workout!
Katherine Norman: Cannot express how much I love this place! I am new and have felt welcomed and supported and never judged. I would 10/10 recommend to all my pals!
Dione Hodges: I started three months ago, I did not know what to expect, It was my 3 rd class when I decided to become a member. I was in love with Pilates. All the instructors are great the studio is top notch!
Swathi J: @dpt.and.pilates @pilatesofkansascityCan't thank these girls enough, for keeping me fit and strong all through my pregnancy (and otherwise as well). One of the best decisions I made thus far. Courtney is a rockstar, such a pleasure working with her. Always compassionate and cheerful and helping me with stretches and exercises that I can incorporate in my daily workouts to combat any pain I might have. I recommend this place to anyone looking to try Pilates, it's totally worth it!
Cedar Street Toffee: Beyond amazed with Pilates of Kansas City. The studio is clean and spacious. The instructors are top notch! Thank you for being here!!!
Hilary Santana: I had a great private session with the owner. It felt super safe, clean, cared for and challenged. I highly recommend everyone to try it!
Sarah Wininger: Very fun and engaging classes! Great for all levels. Beautiful studio environment and welcoming staff.
Gabby Hardesty: I can't say enough about this place! I really, really love it. The teachers are great - Attentive, supportive, and super friendly. The classes are small and intimate so it almost feels like a private lesson. The classes incorporate breathing, stretching, strength, & lots of core! I've seen changes in my body after just a month and a half! I used to dread any type of workout, Now I literally crave Pilates! It leaves me feeling SO GOOD - Mentally and physically! I've looked into a lot of Pilates places - They're all expensive. But this place offers an unlimited monthly price (Where as most places don't) and if you go often, it's really a great price for what you get. I don't exactly live close but it is worth the drive!!! I'm so happy I found this place, it makes working out FUN! Do yourself a favor and try it out, It's challenging but so rewarding, Your body will thank you! xo, Gabby
sharon sigman: I have been going to pilates of kansas city for 4 and half years. Originally i signed up to get stronger for my new English cream golden retriever sister pups. The teachers are wonderful and care about their clients. The iwnet has many innovative sessions unique for individual bodies.
teresa bryan: I walked in three years ago after having gone to a place in Lee's summit. I was in so much pain i could barely walk most of the time. Elizabeth took me in under her wing, very attentive to just what my poor and literally broken up body needed. I'm so serious when i say that pilates is more than just stretching, strengthening and exercise, but it is also life saving, miracle therapy for the body! All of these instructors take their skill set very seriously. They are always friendly and courteous and the owner, Elizabeth is one of the most wonderful people in the world. She saved me.. no seriously.. when the best chiros or medicine or doctor cant help.... SHE DOES!!!
Scott Slabotsky: Far and away there is no better well equipped studio with the most professional and friendly staff in the Midwest. The staff is fabulous and extremely sensitive to any physical issues that you might have. I have gone to studios around the United States and this is one that would truly make Joseph PROUD!! I am glad to be a Client, and plan to be one for a long time.
Lynne Clarke: True Pilates gem in Kansas City. PKC is a wonderful classical Pilates boutique studio that offers a variety of Pilates (Mat and equipment) and core fitness classes (such as TRX, spin, barre). All of the instructors are knowledgeable (with extensive training), supportive, and show modifications for varying levels of fitness or for past injury. In addition to being an amazing Pilates instructor, the owner is innovative, forward thinking, and strives to keep members interested and engaged. If you’re looking for a studio that offers a variety of quality classes in a supportive and positive community environment, this is it!
Tess Fuller: Any one who knows me will tell you that I am OBSESSED with this pilates studio. I had taken some pilates (both mat and reformer) classes before, but nothing like at PKC. The studio is warm and inviting (definitely warmer after the hundred), and the instructors are top-notch. They are incredibly friendly and supportive both in and out of class. They try to get to know you beyond instructing you in class. I am stronger and leaner than I have been in years. The cardio side with cycling, TRX, etc. really compliments the strength building you get from the pilates classes-making it a wonderful one-stop shop for your fitness needs. I am so lucky to have found PKC and the wonderful community it has built.
Hannah O'Callaghan: I moved to KC 3 years ago not knowing many people. I started at PKC immediately after moving, knowing nothing about pilates. I have become physically stronger than I have ever been before. PKC takes into consideration everyone’s strengths and weaknesses during group classes, and each instructor tailors their 55 minute class to those in the class. Not only is this true for group classes, but private sessions are uniquely designed for you and your body. The instructors are absolutely one of a kind - they remember anything from injuries you may have to trips/vacations you’ve recently taken! Three years ago I moved to KC, and for 3 years I have created lifelong friendships with the women who work here, and have transformed my body to lengths I could only dream! Thank you so much, PKC!

Plaza Wellspring: what do users think?
Jennifer Wyatt: After just a single Gyrotonic session with Jane Gotch, I already feel a significant change in the way my body moves, rests, and relates to itself. Jane is a kind and insightful teacher with a passion for movement and clear vision of how to improve your own body's function. She brings a tremendous wealth of experience and enthusiasm for Gyrotonic and other therapeutic movement based practices.
Kate Ehernberger: I have had private sessions with Linda Putthoff and Deb DeAngeles, and have had excellent results in working through physical issues. The classes I have attended are helpful to my general well-being. Pilates and yoga strengthen the body and create balance. By the end I feel calm and recharged at the same time. The space itself is clean, warm, functional, aesthetically pleasing in its simplicity. I recommend the practitioners at Plaza Wellspring to friends.
Cyriac Joseph: Great Place to do bodywork

Kimberly Stumpf: I enjoy learning and working to get better, at Pilates. It’s challenging, but rewarding. Karen makes it possible for me to actually feel like I am successful at Pilates, and I look forward to more success and goals obtained for years to come. The studio and the equipment are well maintained and clean, I really like that. I would recommend Wilder Pilates to anyone, any level of fitness, beginner or advanced.
Margit Delaney: Very nice studio. I visit often. All good.
Katie Bolton: I am completely new at Pilates and Wilder Pilates has been the perfect place to start! Karen is a great teacher ensuring my technique and form are correct as I slowly learn!!
Debra Purtle: Patient and knowledgeable instructors. I have told them that out of every type of exercise I have done I dislike Pilates the least. I hate working out but they make it fun to go. I’m sold!!!!
Ryenn Yarbrough: A community where women can feel free to be themselves and put themselves out there. From beginners to next level there is a place for you.
Robert Jewell: Karen has built a wonderful Pilates practice. She and her instructors are a joy to work with. Their knowledge of Pilates and the interest in their client's physical condition make the sessions challenging but always safe. We have been students for over 3 years. It may sound weird, but we look forward to our three sessions every week. Zoom sessions are a great option when we are traveling.
Jane Parker: Wilder Pilates is a great place to get a great pilates workout. You get a full body workout.
Margaret Blankers: I loved learning pilates at the Wilder Pilates Studio. I hope to come back after some unrelated knee problems.
Karen Toughey: Highly personalized/individualized sessions. Knowledgeable & well trained instructor.
Allison Paige Sinkler: Karen, Amy, and Julie are motivating instructors with an awareness to individualize each session for their clients. I look forward to my two weekly sessions and enjoy the results of my hard work. Highly recommend the small class setting and all the instructors.
Krista Nelson: The personal attention I receive at Wilder Pilates is great! I really enjoy the classes and the instructors.
Bonnie Unruh: If you are looking for a GREAT workout, then Wilder Pilates is the place for you! Not only will you get that GREAT workout, but you will have: FABULOUS teachers (Karen and Julie) in a clean and beautiful studio, great equipment, small class size with personal attention, congenial classmates… everything you are looking for in a workout place. Never tried Pilates??!! Don’t be nervous! It’s the perfect workout for any age or anyone! Great for flexibility, stamina, posture, muscle tone.. and even some cardio. I have only been doing Pilates for a year and a half and I am addicted! I can really feel the difference it has made for me! I won’t ever quit! And, Karen and Julie are very patient and FUN! (But… they work you hard, too… which is what you want… because you want to see the results of your hard work! Wilder Pilates gets TEN ⭐️ Stars from me!!!
Becky Johns: A great place to get stronger inside and out. Not only is my body stronger but the connections I have made help me mentally also. Love this place and all the people.
Anh Bui: Karen was great! I loved working having her as my instructor. It was my first time ever doing Pilates. She explained the different equipment she had and explain what the exercises were, and how to do them very well. It was great to work with just her, rather than start off in a class and not know what you're doing. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to start or is already doing Pilates.

LAgree Pulse 45- Official Lagree Fitness Studio: what do users think?
Carol Stovall: I have been attending LAgree classes for over a year. LAgree is a fantastic workout. I taught group exercise for many years, and I have never seen a work out like this. Interesting enough, the more I attend class, the harder the workouts get. Owners are fabulous... very helpful and outstanding instructors.
Jessica Rogers: Lagree has changed my relationship with working out, to where I look forward to it! When I first started, I couldn't do a plank for more than 30 seconds.. I can now do plank to pike for a couple minutes! I absolutely love the Lagree Method and how it has transformed my body. Heather and Jesse (and all the other instructors!) keep you motivated with encouraging words and fun music so it's never a dull moment! Plus every single day is a different routine! The changes I've seen in my body are unreal! Will never stop going! Highly recommend Pulse 45!!
Laura: Love this one of a kind workout and studio. Professional and fun staff that have extensive knowledge in the Lagree method and educated coaching that will motivate! Changed my life.
Beth Zinn: I started working out at Lagree almost 2 years ago. I had just turned 50, and was not in the best of health. Over-weight, fatty liver disease, tired, achy. When I began, I needed my daughter along to help keep me motivated. Within two months I was going 2-3 times a week on my own, and was losing inches, and gaining energy.Fast forward two years to now. Now I attend class 3-5 times a week, and teach at least once a week. I have lost 40 lbs, and countless inches. I have so much energy now, and have a much better attitude!! I just had my bloodwork done, and my fatty liver disease is GONE. I cut my enzyme levels by 2/3rds! All my other levels are in normal range as well. WITH NO MEDICINES.It is a tough work out, but I don't fear hurting myself, because it is low impact on your joints. The Lagree community is also like family. Once you find your routine, you get to know everyone and everyone is supportive of each other!I honestly don't know what I would do with out the time I spend in the studio. It has been a game changer for me!!!
Georgeanne Marx: Always a challenge in ALL WAYS! This is a total body workout that pushes you to your limits both physically and mentally! Only the strong survive! #IDareYou
Riley Martodam: I can’t say enough how much I love this place, and I’ve tried every workout there is. I started at Lagree hoping to gain strength to improve my long-distance running- and truly credit them with getting me through an ultra-marathon training cycle injury-free! The instructors are so personable and encouraging, and dedicated to helping you get amazing results. So glad I found this place!
Leah Donaghue: Great owners, staff, facility and it’s so challenging but easy to stick with and fun!
Cindy Sawka: I have been going to Lagree since May. I have built back strength, stability and working on coordination. The coaches are wonderful they provide modifications for you. I have been struggling with MS and can’t do the things that I could before and they work with me. This place is like family. I would recommend giving it a try if you haven’t.
Cara: Very nice trainers. Very clean. Small classes.
Sydni Wessels: I really loved this studio, the workouts and the owners. Until I cancelled my membership for personal reasons. I was blocked on all forms of social media. Why? I have no idea. I didn't even know if they were still open because I couldn't find them online when I wanted to join again. Really bummed because like I said I loved the workouts and the owners. EDIT: They did offer a free morning class for myself and my bridesmaids and we loved it. I am sorry none of them wanted to join afterwards. This is the best workout though and it's too bad it didn't work out.
Kk Keels: LAgree is such a challenging yet rewarding work out!!!! Every single work out is different and you are able to modify each one to your own capability! The instructors Heather and Jesse are super encouraging and are always so welcoming!!
Adam Shay: Incredible workout with great instruction!
Chelsey Pilus: This is my all time favorite workout! The workout itself is amazing and produces amazing results. Heather and Jesse are so motivating and the sweetest people! If you are thinking of trying, do it! You will not regret it!
Shari Strickling: I can't say enough about this place and Heather & Jesse. They are constantly pushing you to do your best during each class - hold the move 1 more second, go 1" lower. Absolutely one of the best full body workouts I have ever done. I have been going since February 2019 and it never gets easier but I am definitely stronger that I was a year ago. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for something to take it to the next level!
Kylie Domian: I've always worked out but needed a change to my normal routine. I found exactly what my whole body needed @LagreePulse45 and have seen major changes in my body!
Sheena Francis: I LOVE LP45!! This workout is amazing, and the the studio is awesome! The trainers/owners are the BEST! You are basically getting a personal trainer with every class, and definetly a FULL BODY workout... but still a workout that anyone can do! I highly recommend LP45!
Xinh Nguyen: This place seems fairly new to me as there are current founding member specials for 2019. I’m really unsure about the negative reviews previously but so far my experience has been great. Jessie and Heather maintain small group classes which allow them to focus on you a lot better individually. The workout is great because you control the intensity and I love the machine they have you on.I haven’t gone into the details of the membership or packages with this but if you feel a workout is effective it will be worth the money. Still hoping there are some reasonable priced promos as I am currently tied into a contract with another gym2020 Update!!I’ve been a member for 1 year now and this commitment has been totally worth it. I’ve gotten stronger and I actually miss going to class when I travel. I love the variety of classes and the schedule works for everyone!!
Courtney Rice: Absolutely Brilliant! First timer and best class ever - amazing workout and you will feel it the next day. Highly recommend this studio! Owners are awesome, friendly and knowledgeable instructor who was super attentive and she certainly got my limbs shaking!! Already signed up for next weeks sessions!!
Ed Allee: Great workout!
Renee Mercer: I have a love/hate relationship with Lagree Pulse45. It is challenging and an amazing full body workout and you get results. Jesse & Heather are wonderful and so is all the staff! So personal and they always know your name and greet you like an old friend. Give it a try!!
kinley kent: I love this workout! I am someone who loves lifting heavy and hates cardio, but the first time I came here I was even struggling. I have been coming a month and already see my improvement. The change is amazing. My calories burned in the 45 minutes are equal to a lifting session most days. My core is my weakness and I can already tell my strength and ability has improved! Love Lagree!

HOTWORX - Kansas City, MO (Parkville): what do users think?
Laura CS: Expensive to join once you buy their overpriced mat and towel (over $100). I enjoyed it for awhile and even talked two friends into joining with me. Ended up overstretching and injuring myself. (My bad- it happens. Probably not the best workout for anyone prone to injury.) Put my membership on freeze for three months. Then found out I was relocating to Saint Louis for work and not living near a franchise location. Called to cancel and was told I'd have to do that in person (they have limited staff hours). When I finally found time to go in and complete the cancellation, found out I'd have to pay a contract buyout fee of $90. Sold the mat and towel for $20 on FB marketplace to recoup a little of the costs. It was fun for awhile but having to pay expensive joining costs AND leaving costs left me with an unpleasant taste. Life happens and it would be nice not to penalized for it. Won't likely return to Hotworx in the future.
Lisa Wagoner: Great work out!
Jesse Samborski: Tamir was really helpful in helping my wife and I understand how the process works. Made signing up easy. Thanks Tamir.
Shelly Cruz: Love the staff and the workouts with heat!
Natalie Hampton: My friend and I tried Hotworx for the first time yesterday. We were offered a guest pass since we were new. I enjoyed the hot Pilates class, it was low impact but worked your muscles and the heat wasn’t too intense. The class was 30 minutes and I woke up feeling sore but in a good way. I’m eager to try some of the more high Intensity classes.
Becky K: Friendly staff. I love that it's open 24/7 so I don't have an excuse if it's too late or too early. It is not usually overcrowded at the times I go. It's surprisingly affordable for this type of boutique fitness.I enjoy the hot exercise and it helps to control my blood pressure better than regular exercise. One of the many perks to saunas in general. I view this as a Time saver in that I do get some exercise benefit at the same time as I get to enjoy the sauna.I do like the exercise in the heat. I don't love all of the virtual instruction. Some are better than others. There is a decent selection of exercise types. I do wish however that the videos were updated more frequently and that each video offered more variations to make moves easier or harder. There's a huge emphasis on isometric holds. I do not understand this emphasis on static contractions. There's plenty of room on your mat to do larger range of motion exercise that would be even more effective at building strength across the entire range of motion. There is an emphasis on very short workouts (15 or 30 min) But I end up completing two to three sessions per visit to reach fatigue thus it is not any faster than going to any other gym. That is a gimmick. They rush through warm ups and cool Downs. Stretches and foam rolling are too fast to work. If you went for only one workout you will probably be disappointed, but it works since I end up doing multiple per visit. It is true, The heat does increase your metabolic rate. That is widely accepted the research showing it dates back into the early and mid 1900s. However, the Hot Works marketing blows that completely out of proportion. For the average person the extra caloric burn is only 10-15 percent. With the short workouts, that would be like 5 to 30 calories per class. In conclusion if you like hot exercise it is one of very few places you can get that. The sauna is incredibly nice on these cold January days. But don't buy into the gimmick that you're getting more work out in less time, or that isometric contractions are a more effective method of strength training.
Llemia Grigsby: It was a great first time experience
Amanda Irvin-Black: I am totally hooked on Hotworx! The idea of "more workout, less time" fits with my busy schedule. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and having 24/7 access is awesome! I get stronger ever day. 11/10 would recommend 🔥💪🔥
Grooter: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThis is the best place to come get your sweat on! Everyone here is friendly and helpful. I can come in and do a workout and leave feeling like a million bucks!
Katherine Beaty: Great workouts and great staff! It is open 24hr so it is super convenient for anyone and the workouts save a lot of time because of the infrared heat. I definitely recommend trying this place out.
Vanae: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityA review doesn't give this place justice! I really like the atmosphere, I get in, get my work out and get out. You get a free class to try it out and the price is great. You've got to come check it out for yourself.
Julie Richards: I have been at HotWorx for a year now. I love the atmosphere, the ease of use, the programs, and especially the heat! Highly recommend. The staff is also great.
Megan Kenna: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI’ve tried a lot of different gyms and this has been by far my favorite. It’s the best of everything! Great variety, great staff and a great workout. #earntheburn
Patricia Ackerman: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
Magdalena Mumphrey: Positive:Communication
Kacy Leuthold: Love this place, Staff is always so friendly and helpful and I truly enjoy going :)
Katie Harrison: I have worked out at Hotworx since August of 2020. The staff is great, always there to help. I always come away feeling like I got an amazing workout in. I would recommend Hotworx to anyone wanting to get in shape, lose weight, and or get healthy.
Lori Bogart: The staff is so friendly and helpful! I love the workouts with the infrared heat!
Scott Peterson: Great place to workout. The hot sauna workouts help getting back in shape so much easier. The muscles are sore but not as much. The best gym to join and start on a workout routine. The staff is very helpful, friendly and in a roundabout way, make you accountable to come work out.
K LaFleur: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityA great place to workout with a wonderful staff!!
Rechelle Chapman: Positive:Quality
