Tayyaba Zahra: Amazing experience with Sohaila’s Kitchen. They catered for our baby shower n we ordered Vegetable Pulao, Seekh kabab, Murgh Musalam and Chana Chat For almost 20 people. Seekh kabab n chana chaat were absolute Stunners. For sure the best Desi food ul have in Kansas. We already tried her biryani n Haleem at the restaurant which were really delicious. I 100% recommend their catering services and plz do try the food at the restaurant too. It tastes just like home cooked Pakistani food with the finest ingredients!!

I had the butter chicken and the Haleem. Butter chicken had a rich flavour and a Mango lassi with it. The Haleem is spicy which really adds to the taste. Thank you and keep this going!

Jim Burkee: We just moved to the Kansas City area from New York City and have been looking all over town for a good Indian and Pakistani food. After trying half a dozen places, we were happy to stumble across Sohaila’s Kitchen. We met Sohaila and her son, sampled biryani, butter chicken, naan, samosas and more … and have now found our new go-to place! The food was excellent, authentic, and as good as anything we ever encountered in New York. We will be back - a lot!

If you love hummus you're probably like me and tired of paying out the nose for hummus at grocery stores or restaurants. At tikka not only do you get a really generous amount of hummus for 4.99, not only is it the most fresh and delicious hummus I've ever eaten, but they will flavor it with any spice that they have in thier vast selection. And, you can stock up on spices for your own kitchen while you're here.Update: I just tried their mint tea for the first time and it's insanely good! Raman: I am an indian origin giving 3 star for only customer service and one more thing i like about this place that they have open powder spices. Moreover, they call it a samosa but actually its called paties which includes fullfilling of ingredients by your choice. I have receipts where eye have paid different prices depending on how she (the owner) feels. The most authentic is the son. However, this season was my last season going and I've been going over 5 years. The chick peas in the hummus lost you a for life customer. I'll make sure to share my experience with all my coworkers whom I've turned onto hummus and definitely will STOP my family from going.

Pet Pals KC: We love to drop in and grab the pita pockets!! They’re an incredible version of a homemade Hot Pocket and we are obsessed!! We grab a couple at once and take them home to eat during the week. Sooo so good!! Everything else is super fun and they have an amazing selection of spices! The service is also amazing and the staff are all so nice!!! So glad they’re in the City Market!

Fatima: If you want to experience an owner watching you while you eat and then confronting you in order to tell you to not to leave any food on your plate, then this is the perfect restaurant for you. Every plate the waiter picked up was inspected by the owner. If someone is leaving an excessive amount of food then maybe i would understand but this was just ridiculous and unnecessary. The owner needs to take a class on hospitality and customer services. The buffet service should be cancelled if he is not able to provide this service, decently, to his customers.The mango lassi was complementary but it was watery and tasted bland. The milk of the rice pudding smelled, which was unfortunate, since this was the only dessert offered.Pros- I liked the vegetable mushroom sauce and biryani rice. My sister said the chickpea sauce was good. The waiter was kind and prompt. And we had a good time telling everyone the unbelievable and comical experience we had there.

Restaurants like this spoils the name of Indian restaurants over all. Place smelled foul start from the entrance. Highly recommended to keep off unless there is drastic change to the ambience and food quality.
