Norene Gaines: This warehouse is near my office so I often stop in on the way home.Recently, I went to pick up a copy of The Beatles' Get Back book on the day of release. Not one book out on the floor. I went back the next night - still no books. I asked at the membership (customer service) desk & had to wait several minutes. I was told 35 copies were in the building - they were received the week before. I was directed to a check-out supervisor to see if someone could find a copy I could buy. They escorted me back to the book section, exactly where I had already looked two nights running. They didn't find any, either. I was given the phone number for the administrative office to call the next morning to have a copy held for me. The young man I spoke with had no clue what I was talking about even after I told him the book was featured in the member magazine & I gave him the item number. After several minutes, he asked for my phone number so he could call me right back. Thirty minutes later and no call back, I found the number for the Independence office. The lady there knew the book, told me they received 50 copies & they were out on the floor - they had sold some earlier in the day.I drove out of my way to go to Independence where I found the book straight away. I may drive out of my way to go only to Independence from now on.I have memberships at both Costco & Sam's Club. I still like Costco much better.

Shannon Mullins: Terrible experience. We just got in for a simple pizza. They wouldn't start our order until we showed them the order number 3 times. The guy was rude, wouldn't even give us some paper plates.Guess, what, we get to the car and it's the wrong pizza. The guy working there should not be in customer service.

Shout out to you Lester the reasoning for giving this store 2 stars is because of you ! & Dillion didn’t even let me finish my sentence before he rudely cut me off . My whole experience was f’d up. I felt unwelcome by everyone besides Lester and I was also treated as a child. I will stick with sams . Costco is a bootleg version of sams.

Sherry G.: On Friday at 4 pm, there were only 3 cashiers! Stood in line for 15 minutes before manager opened 2 more lines beside ours, and took people 10 places behind us to those instead of taking the ones that had been there for so long! Bad management!!!

We like to stock up on things about once a month.Cases of soda are a pretty good deal as well as common snacks.Do kind of wish they had a slightly bigger selection on certain things.Love the cream cheese Danishes. We pick up extra of those when on sale.

B Cyder: This Costco hires some of the best people in all of Kansas City. “Mrs. Mella” is not one who of them. No doubt Saturdays can be busy, but with her disposition, she has no business interacting with members. She’s rude, disrespectful (to customers and co-workers) and appears to operate with an air of entitlement.
