La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Overland Park: what do users think?
Staci Hartman: This place is dirty & disgusting!!! Please do NOT stay here & waste your money! I asked for a refund & they said no. The desk chair had cum stains ALL over it. I actually rolled it to the front desk to show them. They originally called me a liar and said the rooms were clean which is why I asked for a refund. The customer service is horrible!!! Carpets have stains on them, beds are falling apart, refrigerator is rusted & dirty, the TV is super small & blurry, there were bugs, the wall paper is peeling, there is no trim, the stairs were not vacuumed. The list is endless!! I can NOT believe how I was treated as an American customer! Please believe ALL the reviews left on the website because they are very accurate. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone, not even my dogs. Stay away from this place!
cindy kendrick: Very vacant looks abandoned
Mina Choo-ho: Homeless Shelter. NO POOL. Car was broken into! Why pay to be in a homeless shelter? Pamela Hayward has this gig going with United way where she charges high prices to assist the homeless to milk what funds she can before selling this trash. Do you think the money goes to the repair of the building? NOPE. The place is a dumb. There is mold, roaches, bed bugs, ants, dirty, and it smells terrible. She does absolutely nothing to upkeep the property and is basically a greedy SLUMLORD. The majority of her staff is undocumented immigrants. So she cuts cost there too. I would encourage everyone to stay away. The staff is incompetent. The Chubby white girl is sweet, but isn't the manager.
Todd Icenogle: Remodeling is on going, remote was missing from the room, maids knocking on the door when I was sleeping. Staff was very friendly. When it is completely remodeled, it should be a very nice hotel.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Guy J. Peart, Sr: I would go backRooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Wheels Holland: The staff in the front desk during the day is some of the most professional I have had the pleasure too run across . The management was knowledgeable and took the extra time to help me with logistical mattes!I was unfortunate enough to have very serious medical crisis while on my vacation which included an extended hospital stay for my wife. The nighttime staffing was very understanding and helpful and I would especially like to thank the young lady that sits front desk overnight without her wonderful explanation of how an app called uber works I would not have been able to navigate those services I have only given this hotel five stars because I could not find the sixth one! If you find yourself in overland Park Kansas and you need lodging this is in my opinion the best choice You could make.
Darren Muci: First, the staff was very friendly. But other than the price the hotel was a huge disappointment. It honestly looked as if the place had been trashed and the owners are trying to slowly renovate it while serving guests. The room was clean and organized, but walking down the halls was a bit concerning when seeing all of the damage (e.g., ripped wall paper, dirty carpet, scuff marks on the floors, walls and elevator interior, etc.), and lack of cleanliness. The free breakfast amounted to very small packaged items so I headed to Quik-Trip. It would be hard to recommend this establishment unless you are looking for the lowest price hotel in the area and are willing to accept this as the only option.
XxCamRovz: Average, but the hallways smelled bad.
Zoey Williams: Lady working the overnight staff was asleep at the desk. Literally had to yell to get her attention and when I woke her up she was rude. I literally walked out and got a room somewhere elseRooms: 4/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Bobbie Shirley: This is the second time we have stayed here. They are pet friendly, and sweet, sweet people. Our amazing check in girl Cherokee is amazing and wonderful. Great rooms, spacious...we will be staying here again. Would recommend staying here..Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Ang Coc: Nice
Macy Havens: Probably the weirdest review I have given. I gave them a 3 because I am not sure if they are in the middle of an ownership change, remodel or what. This hotel has some 5 star features and some 1 star features. Staff was friendly. Beds and rooms were comfortable, updated and traveler friendly. Amenities average. Here is where it gets weird. Various areas of the hotel, not finished, mid finish, construction supplies in multiple areas. The ice machine in the west wing works but the soda machine is empty? The soda machine in the east wing is full but the ice machine doesn't work? Signage to rooms, facilities, etc. computer printed and taped up? Weird. I am pretty picky about the cleanliness of a room since I have worked in that industry and was over all satisfied with my room until I moved the shower curtain to start the water and a used washcloth that had been apparently on top of the curtain rod plopped on my head. Ew. I would say that was 1 star. Just an overall odd combination of things. In Overland Park for a convention and may end up booked there again next year. The place has potential. Not opposed to seeing what it has become by next year. Will update a review then.
Joe Bothell: Run down building, empty vending machines, peeling paint, exposed concrete ceilings. Beyond disappointing. Shut this place down.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Braydon: Nice clean room, smart mirrors, comfy bed, very friendly staff.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
MyDarling Dennos: We were pleased with this hotel. It was clean and the staff was friendly. I'm always kinda bummed with the breakfast selection now with c19, but I understand. If we pass through this area again we will come back here.

Radisson Hotel Lenexa Overland Park: what do users think?
Sandy H: Booked 2 Queen Bed room on 4/28/23 for one night Mothers Day Weekend 5/13/23 just one night. Rec an email confirmation showing my confirmation number and it says you are guaranteed for late arrival. We arrived 10 pm only to find out they rented out our room. Desk clerk offered king suite with fold out couch and reluctantly I agreed. We get to the room and it’s a Queen with fold out couch. Floors were dirty, we had to call front desk for 2nd pillow and pillowcase. Mgr was supposed to be there in the morning for complaint to be made, he was not so I made a written complaint. They obviously overbooked and I will never stay at a Radisson again! If you make a reservation, don’t expect them keeping your room! One word of advice, stay somewhere that cares about you and your business and will honor your room requests. No price concessions were offered for accepting less than what I expected.Update: I received an email at 10pm tonight, Wednesday, May 17. I see management put my complaint first thing on his to do list. I guess I should be glad he answered at all. He’s very sorry my concerns I shared and my experience at this hotel. We hope that upon my next visit they can exceed my expectations. I wouldn’t stay there again if they paid me to come!!
Stephanie Lynch: We booked our hotel room a week and a half before our arrival as part of a group block. It was a Nascar weekend on top of our reason for staying with a group, so the prices were inflated above the $63 shown on the website. I would be staying with my husband and my 8 year old son. The only thing left in the blocked off rooms were King beds. We can't all fit, so I requested a cot/roll-away as it did not look like there was a couch for anyone to sleep on. They said they'd have one available. I'm not sure what happened after that, but I tried several times to give my credit card for confirmation. There was a commotion of some kind and I was told I did not need to give my credit card and that everything was all set. Then the phone hung up. I tried calling back at different times over the course of the week and the phone was never answered. I kept getting a message about a voice mailbox being full. At check-in we got our room, but no cot. The phone in my room did not work, so I used my cell phone to call the front desk. They said I would have to come down to the front desk and get it. I walked down three flights of stairs as only one elevator was working and it was busy. No cot. The man I spoke to at the front desk had no idea what I was talking about. I told him I spoke with the lady at the front (standing next to him helping another customer), and she said to come down and get one. He radioed housekeeping and they said they did not know if they had anymore and that they'd look. He said they'd bring it up if they had any. I'm not sure why I was made to come down in person for it when they could have radioed and saved me the trip. I asked how long I'd have not wait until I knew they did not have any since the phone in my room did not work and they couldn't call me. He said he could come up and tell me personally (which did not happen). I asked about the cot I requested when I called and all I was told was that "it wasn't on file." The room was hot and had a hard time cooling down (maybe because the pool was in the main lobby?) and the hair drier was clearly broken (made a horrible metal-on-metal grating noise). We ended up buying a sleeping bag for our son to sleep in on the floor. There was CLEARLY spots where more furniture had been and was removed. All that was in the room was the bed, a single chair, and a desk chair. WE could not even sit down together without laying on the bed. I will not be staying at the Radisson in Lenexa again. The experience was terrible.Rooms: You do not get what you pay for. Several items in the room were broken. There was clearly furniture missing from the King bed rooms and the pictures posted of the rooms are from the POV of the missing furniture facing the door so you cannot tell it's missing. If you are traveling with family, make sure there is room for everyone to sit / sleep without requesting a roll-away cot as you may not get what you request upon making a reservation.
Kevin Haeffner: Place is old and nasty ..... plenty of other choices in the area. You can tell from the dumpster in the yard and the nice shade of blue this place was not nice and it lived up to the hype once inside. Breakfast made me sick. Lobby furniture was old and a joke. Lobby floor was pealing up all over. I could go on and on....Rooms: 3/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Aviation Angel: I don’t understand why there are so many bad reviews, for the price I paid it was fairly nice , clean, and safe hotel, as a business person I love the challenge so I booked with them anyway. And my experience have been great. I stayed for four nights and checked out on May 11th, 2023. The room was big , clean, very friendly and helpful staffs, it’s hot first couple nights because it was 90 degrees outside and the room’s windows are all glass and facing the west so they absorbed lots of sunlight during hot day it’s hard to keep the room cool but I just had to close all curtains and set the A/C to high for a while to keep the air circulating better. As I always keep the curtains closed, The last couple nights was perfect temperature for me to sleep very comfortably, overall it’s very nice and clean hotel to me as I’m very picky and almost OCD kind of person I’m satisfied with my stayed. They deserved a good reviews!Laynee BryanVery big and clean!Rooms: The size and the bed was very comfy!
Email1 Email1: Big old worn hotel.. nice atmosphere, tho. good service.. clean room smelled fresh .. would stay here again if needed ..
Jordan Harvey: Well the reviews in general were right, disgusting main lobby. Pool is in the main area so all of the hotel is humid and the rooms are as well. I had to go to 7 different rooms to find working ac after sitting in our first hotel room for 2 days at 88 degrees. Will not be coming backRooms: 1/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Megan Anastasia: This is a one-star hotel with a nice lobby. I am speaking as a former housekeeper at a prominent 4-star hotel, and someone who seeks out wide ranges of travel accommodations to this day.The room, while comfortable enough, is awkward. There is a lack of outlets. You must unplug the fridge to plug in the coffee maker. And the bathroom is so small you have to wedge yourself against the toilet to close the door. Everything in the rooms feels old and grungy. Even the beds have old sheets and exposed box springs. The staff here is tragically undertrained. It is no fault of the staff - it instead speaks poorly of management. Our reservation was lost, and the man at the front desk was confused. He clicked buttons and asked repetitive nonsense questions, as if I was going to magically fix the computer system by showing him the confirmation code for the 16th time. I booked directly through the Radisson website, and it felt like the man kept trying to turn it around on me as to why he didn’t see the reservation. He was neither reassuring nor apologetic for the inconvenience. He rebooked us, though I’ll need to check that we weren’t double charged for the room. The interactions with staff at breakfast were awkward too. The website touted complimentary breakfast, but that was a lie. I’m letting you know here so you can avoid the cranky woman guarding the buffet and paying $11/person for bad eggs.If you are to work in hospitality, you need training and people skills. From what we experienced, this hotel puts no thoughtfulness, consideration, or value in their hotel or their employees.
Melissa Dawdy: Very unhappy with the room. No table, register looked like it was going to fall out of the wall. Very poor pillows. Look good but are flat as a pancake when laid on. Will not stay again and don't recommend.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Paul Esposito: Rooms: Rooms need a little bit updatingSafety: Felt very safe when I was thereRooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Tonya Evans: Could hear person coughing in another room.
Mary Kissell: Not prepared for our large group. Had to wait to get keys. Only one food ticket to share with two people. Again the food was not ready for alot of people. Breakfast food was mostly cold. Not a very good experience. Hopefully the next two days will improve.Food & drinks: Slow service had to share menus. Not enough help
Kennedy Christine: Long story short, i booked this room for a night to just spend time with my fiancée. We booked the room mid June of 2022.We had a pleasant evening then went for breakfast the next morning. We has talked to a rude waiter/waitress saying we need to pay for our plates. Never have I heard that from someone who works in a hotel.Thankfully the guy at the front desk explained that they do that so people book on their website. He gave us these little cards saying we bought the room on the website and we had to give it to the waiter. They side-eyes us the entire time we were eating and scoffed when we asked for silverware when they ran out.Would I stay here again, possibly. I’d just make sure I buy my own stuff for breakfast. The overall stay and room was amazing. Just the customer service from the waiter in the kitchen was appalling.
