Lovingly, she listen to every story and went above and beyond to assist our family, giving us every consideration. She even came to our father's service after hours. This isn't just a job for these good people...they care!
Ashley Agnew: They do a good job. They are really nice. They care about people. I love the services they put together.
Judy Williams: Wonderful organization ❣️
M Shavon Travis: March 2, 2023 changed my life forever. I lost my precious 6 year old grandson to an asthma attacked. We chose Speaks to handle his arrangements and memorial service. During the most difficult time of our lives, they relieved a lot of the stress off of our family. Jamie was very compaasionate and caring, as well as the rest of the staff. The day of his memorial, they were more than willing to do whatever we needed or ask to make sure the service was as perfect as possible....and it was beautiful. I can't thank them enough for helping our family and friends celebrate his life in a way that I know he would have loved.
Nancy Huffaker: I would highly recommend Speaks Suburban to help with funeral plans. Jamie is such an asset to them and helped us throughout the process without making us feel pressured or rushed to make final decisions.

Bryon D. Grable: I can't say enough of the staff at Speaks and the assistance they provided when my daughter lost her baby due to still birth. The shock of losing Emy was devastating and thru the hospital staff we were directed to Speaks. Due to the nature of the loss they were able to provide through donation all preparations required to include donating the casket. They also assisted in getting our Angel moved to the other side of the state where she was placed to rest with her grandmother. Speaks truly eased the burden during a very emotional and tragic event. Thank you to the entire staff of Speaks for your kind and endearing support.

We appreciated her suggestions regarding logistics and details. She handled a number of actions to relieve us of some of the "things" that had to be done. A positive experience.
Thomas Phillips: Very professional and helpful. They make a difficult situation much easier to deal with. Made excellent suggestions, but let us decide what we wanted. Taylor was wonderful to work with.
Kathy Williams: Very caring and comforting people at Speaks.
Greg Taylor: The folks at Speaks, especially Jamie and Elizabeth who helped us, were remarkable. They were very kind and attentive to whatever we needed. Both my Dad and my Mom were taken care of from the moment they passed until their final wishes were carried out. Thank you to everyone at Speaks Independence.

Carson-Speaks Chapel: what do users think?
Jay P: Both my Mother and most recently my Father had pre-arranged much of their funeral services. Mom's plans were well defined and documented, Speaks had her instructions on file and they agreed with the instructions she had given me. Dad's weren't quite as clear. The staff, especially Jamie, was so patient with us. She let our family work our way through decisions on music and speakers and tribute together. She listened to our memories of Dad and pulled out bits and pieces and helped us with the details that made it a wonderful celebration that reflected his personality and legacy. The day of his visitation and service every staff member who participated was kind, patient, friendly empathetic, helpful and respectful.I'm thankful that my parents did the pre-planning with most of the expense and decisions made but, I'm also thankful that they chose Carson-Speaks.
S Portz: At our age, we seem to be going to more funerals than baptisms or baby showers. Our family has been through quite a few funerals in the last few years with some dismal experiences. However, with Carson-Speaks here in Independence, walking in the door was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. They were thoughtful and attentive. From the first interview all the way through the final service at the burial site, the staff a Carson-Speaks in independence. Missouri went far above and beyond in our time of grief. Hats off to Blair, Jan, Robert and the rest of the team at Carson-Speaks Chapel-Scott Portz
Michael Ludwig: Carson-Speaks did a really great job and made a very difficult time for our family so much easier. They even followed up afterwards to see how we were doing. I would highly recommend.
Roger Schmitz: Very professional and understanding during our family’s loss.
Christi T: We have used this funeral home for several family members over the last several years and we couldn’t be happier. It’s always a very emotional time and they are always so very caring and patient. It’s comforting when they make you feel like they truly care about you and your passed on loved one.
Ken Allfree: Carson speaks, did an excellent job with my brother in laws funeral. The slide presentation &music were outstanding. The whole service flowed well. They handled it well,&,were very professional. Ken
robert shields: Carson-Speaks Chapel. Was completely helpful and kind . Helping our family through our time of crushing loss. They made it easy for us. Helpful employees . Guidance through all the details, that follow a death. Expected or not. There are many loose ends. Which Carson- Speaks helped us navigate. The Chapel was decorated wonderfully. Thanks for all you did. Robert Shields
Sean Gordon: Wonderful Staff and Facility, took excellent care of our Father, a bit overpriced but worth the extra cost.
Eric Stephenson: Very compassionate and understanding.
bentley connie: They were very attive an careing. Even wrote me later to see how i was doing!!! Very professional
Stephanie Eddins: Very friendly staff, knowledgeable and welcoming.
Penny Fellers: Rick was very respectful and put my family and I at ease on a very difficult day This also pertains to all of the staff at Carson-Speaks My family and I would highly recommend them
Donna Wiley: The kindness and compassion we received from Jessica and her team was above any expectations. In our time of grief we were never left alone. Any questions we had were immediately addressed. They were there from the moment we called, through the visitation, service and continue to check in on us. If you need a funeral home that shows compassion as well as knowledge to navigate the grief…Carson Speaks is just that!
Abby Zionskowski: We were very pleased with the services provided by Carson-Speaks Chapel. Katie was our director and did a fantastic job walking us through the process for my husbands grandmother. Katie made us feel included and heard during every aspect of the planning. We are very happy with the photo DVD, service pamphlets and obituary that was drafted and emailed for our approval before printing begun. You can feel that she is very passionate about her job and helping grieving families find peace during such a terrible time. Thank you Katie for making this difficult time for our family just a little bit less stressful!
Melissa Clark: Like a member of the family at any location
Felix Bleyenberg: Funeral home and are very caring
kip vance: Dealing with the details after the death of a loved one is a stressful and emotional time. I would like to thank Carson-Speaks for the good work in preparing my father. The director assigned to my family made some very simple mistakes that shouldn't have been made. Any mistake is magnified a 1000 times over for the grieving family. I hope that she is new to the business and learns from this if not Mr. Speaks should ask her to look for other work. I will look over the part when they give us options for a service, like the family has a choice it's the legacy package first then on to the other packages. Oh there are none It's just an itemized list so if you don't want the Sears photo center back drop you can pay an extra 300.00. Ok to the mistakes 1st She to use to the show room and wanted give us the sales pitch while another grieving family is in there trying to make one of the hardest purchases of their lives. 2nd We sent an email how the service was to progress. When that was done wrong we spoke with her as she was seating the family. We hoped that would get us back on track but she forgot to tell the speakers at the service so it was a very clustered service that went extremely wrong. 3rd the air condition in the building just happen to go out the morning of the service on June 9th 2021 90 plus degrees during the service. 4th both restrooms had plumbing issues the toilets would not flush men's or women's. 5th the obituary was written by a distressed family member when she received this it went straight to print no proof reading there could have been a call made to ask about corrections, mistakes went to print. And to finish out the day the family car wasn't running or cooled down when they loaded us. My sister and I had to climb in the front seat to get things going. The funeral home also charged us the cemetery charge which made a big confusion when we went to meet with them. All this for the low price of 14k. Check with the cemetery before you by the vault you will save around 400.00.
Kris Knight: Dealing with the details after the death of a loved one is a stressful and emotional time. I would like to thank Carson-Speaks for helping us through the process. The staff was so loving and kind. They knew what we would need before we did. The experience was amazing. Thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness down to the vey last detail.
Pamela Painter: My Mom pass in Jan. 2020. Everyone at Caraon Speaks made sure we were well taken care of. The service, flowers, everything was done wonderfully.
Mangold Family: They did everything we requested for my grandpa’s services with the utmost care and professionalism. We are so happy with the service they provided and would highly recommend them. They will take care of your loved ones!
Mamie Davis: Seem like nice people, but the rates they charge are crazy. I don’t know how anyone could (or would want to) pay the kind of money they want for simple cremation or a burial without services.

Rory A Ridinger Sr.: Very pleasant and comfortable making arrangements. Forrest was a pleasure to work with and will recommend your services to my family and friends...THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
Ďèbbie Gooďmàñ: Everyone was considerate and very helpful going through the process. Thanks Nicole for letting us laugh through the memories while making arrangements. I also thought the pricing was very reasonable as we had no insurance. I am very grateful I chose Newcomer's Noland Road Chapel.
Ruth Berry: Nicole was more than helpful.o
Sharon Fusco: My family’s experience with Nicole at the Noland Chapel was a nightmare. At the service she did not introduce herself. She was unprofessional and disrespectful to me and my family. I could not believe such behavior from a funeral director. She ruined my mother’s service. Rating 1 star is much too generous.
Mike Thompson: Never explained charges. No service. And just cremation $2200 . .UPDATE : THEY JUST INFORMED ME THAT BECAUSE OF THIS NEGATIVE REVIEW THEY WONT BE HOLDING A SERVICE FOR. MY MOM AND TO COME PICK UP HER REMAINS AND. THEY WILL CALL IT EVEN ON THE 400.00 BALANCE I WAS MAKING PAYMENTS ON !!! SO $1900 DALLORS LATER AND MY MOM NO LONGER GETS A FUNERAL. THIS PLACE IS SO WRONG IN every aspect . Also was charged 175.00 for a card board box for her ashes when I in fact took my own urn/ and mini urns in to be placed in . I'm calling fox 4 and. Getting this story aired. . . They robbed me of my $ and idk how to give mom a funeral now . Rude , not compassionate , over thumbs 👎
Bree Sanders: Jason Gentzell was extremely helpful and attentive to my family’s needs. He made my grandmother feel very at ease and very comforted after she had just lost her husband of 71 years. Highly recommend using Jason or any of his lovely staff for your needs.
Lori Deister: Nicole the Employee at the funeral home was sympathetic listen to all five family members took the time to get To know my sister the deceased. And help us put together an amazing celebration of her life. It was one of the difficult times in life and she made that experience less stressful and put us all it Ease she went above and beyond her job she’s compassionate and caring
Teri Rhone: Nichole was wonderful to our family. My 46 year old son died of a sudden heart attack and we are devastated. She was wonder to us and answered every concern and even called us to answer questions over the Memorial holiday. Thank you Nichole.
Ron Galvan: Woody and Dennis proved I was wrong to delay doing a Preneed. Most professonal and detailed. All my questions were answered promptly. Kudos to the Staff ...
Sheri Erickson: Wow where do I even start. Nicole, The most beautiful lady you can ever meet, there's no words to describe her. Angel sent from heaven. Beautiful laugh, sole, heart etc.. I know it's there job, but she's a professional employee, helper, and Psychologist 🤪. The love and care she gives is genuine, something you can't buy. Thank you Nicole for making a rough time so much easier.
Angela Salamoni: Newcomers was very helpful in helping me with my grandfather's funeral. Nichole helped me from the very beginning with planning and pricing. Had a beautiful chapel service that they were able to live stream so my grandma in Spain could watch. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend.
Havon Morris: The funeral home director Nichole Gebhart was so wonderful to my family and I during this heart breaking time!! She was there for any questions I had no matter what time of the day it was!! I'm so blessed to have had her help plan my father's funeral, she made something so hard to do with a heavy heart so easy. Thank you for everything!!
Sergio Gomez: Very nice, very professional and exceptional service, beautiful Chappell and all team members very nice thanks a lot Nichole.
Jerry Roth: Very friendly and answered all questions and advised me as to what I needed to do. They prepared the death certificate for filing with the state and send me a copy to review for correct information. I found an error in the birth date and returned the corrected copy the same day. They had already sent the incorrect copy to the state and had to file a corrected copy. This delayed me in getting copies of the death certificate. It has been 22 days and I still do not have a certified certificate. Unacceptable.
Raymond Ingram: My family was very satisfied with the services that was provided for our brother, husband, father, grandpa and many other family members and friends. Don and staff made us feel like family. When needed I’d do them every time. They will make you feel at home.Thank you for all the comforting that was provided to my family in the time of need.Thank you,The Ingram’s
Mark Boothe: The funeral directors at Newcomers Noland Road Chapel have been great. Don made us feel comfortable, from our very first meeting all the way through to completion. And, his partner, Nicole, in addition to being very friendly, was super organized and efficient. She was always on top of paperwork, pictures, and videos. With the exception of a miscommunication, regarding memory cards at the visitation, the entire process went off without any problems. I would definitely recommend Newcomers for anyone's funeral needs.
Rita Feller: Forest was very, very nice & very informative. Have been wanting to make our funeral plans along time & it is a relief to have them finished.

Jessica Brown: My son is laid to rest there. It is always so peaceful and quiet to go and visit my son every time.
Chad Groves: Nobody was In office though they close at 3pm arrived at 215pm
Sergio Gil: Peace and love place
Sergio Gomez: Beautiful place for ours loved
Terri Burton: It's very nice cemetary but I would love to have permanent flowers to stay there more than one week. Why taken up too soon. I see other cemeteries leave whole summer.
Noel P: Any cemetery is great, it is a final resting place for this life and should be respected.
Molly Dash: I'm really upset that they take all the flowers from the graves and throw them in the trash after Memorial Day. The last 2 years I've spent alot of money and time making the arrangement for my daughters father who is buried there. I alway have a theme/ story behind the arrangement. It was only at the grave for about 2 months and we went there yesterday, it was gone. Same as last year. Very disappointing. 😢
Ross Dwyer: I am going to be buried here
Cindy Hammond: Great place .Mike makes you very comfortable and very helpful with all my questions
Amy Kistler: Nicely maintained, staff is very helpful. Great historical resource for genealogy all the way back to early pre-civil war era.
