I mean the staff where very nice from what time I did see them, bit it sure didn't feel like I was receiving any kind of care.
Katie Conyers: The only reason I'm giving a two star rating instead of a one star is because the nurse practitioner and final nurse of my visit did seem to care and want to provide help.I was in the ER for over 8 hours for severe abdominal/ovary pain. In that time, I never was moved to a room. After I went through triage, they moved me into another waiting area full of other post-triage patients. Not only was it incredibly uncomfortable, especially already being in abdominal pain, but there was no sense of privacy. Any and all information from registration to medical news, was given in front of everyone in the waiting hallway.I needed to have a CT scan to try to determine the cause for my pain. I got the scan in a timely manner, but then proceeded to sit there for over 3 hours before a nurse finally decided to investigate why they hadn't heard anything. Apparently someone had forgotten to submit my results resulting in the lengthy delay.At the time of triage the nurse practitioner said she wanted to start me on an IV of fluids and Zofran. Once I was finally called back to see the NP about 4 hours later, she wanted to know if I was feeling better after the meds. That was the first opportunity I had to mention to anyone that I never received the meds she prescribed FOUR HOURS EARLIER. No one came to check on me in the waiting hallway once the entire time I was there.My final complaint is about the "paramedic" that did my blood draw and put the the IV port in. She was so busy talking with a coworker about when she was going to be off and what she was going to do that she could hardly give me time of day. She roughly stabbed the needle and then proceeded to have to dig around trying to hit the vein. I don't have scientific proof, just the opinion from a physician at another ER that I had to go to a week later, that the rough injection has now caused a superficial blood clot in that arm.

Maya Dotson: The medical staff are friendly but this last visit I felt when being discharged I was being brushed off/ hurried to get me out. Nothing was explained regarding results from my ultrasound/ x-ray. Just shown results were in my discharge folder. I had to ask what to do about my swelling behind my knee. At this point I'm dissatisfied with Center Medical Center as a whole including their ortho doctors. I will be seeking care in St. Louis I know I will get the proper care there. I will say the ER follow up scheduling department has been great trying to help me schedule follow up appointment.
Vicky Combs: In my most recent experience there on May 16, 2023 the level of incompetence in the clinic where I was sent for my procedure was down right dangerous! I will never go to Centerpoint again, am in the process of having all my doctors changed to the KU system, and will be happy to explain in great detail why the situation at Centerpoint was so dangerous to anyone seeking the information.

Terrance Jackson: Was seen by Ms. CALLIE B. very nice and got me taken care of in no time, but I'm unable to get in touch with a follow-up. Phone is not accepting my calls.

Kayla Jones: Should be no stars. Just tried to go to the clinic. And there is a sticky note on the desk that said nurse practitioner is at lunch until 2:15. We were there at 1:10. You’re really telling me she’s taking over an hour lunch break! And nowhere in their hours shows the clinic is closed for a lunch break. So, we leave, wait an hour, then come back at 2:15. Now there is a new sticky note that says the nurse practitioner won’t be back until 3:00. This is completely unacceptable, rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional behavior. There wasn’t even a receptionist or nurse or anybody there we could talk to. Just a sticky note. If anyone knows of where I could report this to let me know. Because I am very upset about this whole situation right now.

MaryKate Rohlfs: Usually I enjoy going to these walk in health clinics but tonight I was extremely displeased. After being sick for almost a week and getting a negative covid test, I finally decide to go to the clinic. While it closes at 7 and a patient should be seen if they are there 20 minutes prior to then, I was told I could not be seen. I arrived at 6:05 pm. I waited for the nurse to come to the desk because it wouldn’t let me sign in and she proceeded to tell me that I wasn’t allowed to be seen because she couldn’t see the ONE patient before me and me in the next hour. No sympathy at all for me even when I was clearly not feeling well and I broke out in tears of exhaustion. I’m beyond upset with how this lady handled her job. 12/2/2021

I’ve been seen at the 23rd street and Noland locations. We have received outstanding care from the staff along with great customer service every time. The nurse practitioners are professional and conscientious! They are straightforward and very kind/efficient. All of my concerns were addressed and my questions were answered. I felt I was in great hands. Also, both locations were very clean!! I would highly recommend going here! If I ever need to go back I would choose to come back here!
Sondra Berry: Forget it!If you have insurance they won't turn it in they'll just bill you without it. Then your spend hours on the phone talking to Truman medical center. Go to CVS you won't have that problem.
Danyiel Barber: The first time I went, I was sick with the flu but didn't test positive so I was sent home with OTC meds. A few days later I returned and tested positive for influenza B, was finally given tamiflu and sent home. I tried to go this evening, arrived around 6:15pm with full knowledge that the care center closed at 7p. I figured I had 45 minutes to be seen for a simple ear infection. When I couldn't log in and there was no one up front to help me, I knocked on the door. The nurse came out and turned me away because she had a patient. It says in the name "On the Go!", if it takes close to an hour to treat a patient, I'll go to the ER!

I went in there with a bad cold and was refused any kind of medicine because I didn't test for the most common strain of the flu virus. So, if you have a common cold and not the flu or strep throat don't waste your money here. I had to spend more money to go to another clinic to be treated a few days later because I was not getting any better and I didn't have no problem getting a z pack to help me get better after 7 straight days of being miserable. Danna McPheron: I went to this clinic today at 2pm to be checked out for a sinus/lung infection. This place was closed! The other clinic on 40 Hwy and Noland was closing at 3pm. I am not impressed because lately both clinics always seem closed with shorter schedules. I really think it’s ridiculous.
Meredith DuPree: After a miscommunication about my appointment the doctor saw me at the last minute. She could have turned me away, but instead she was very kind and thorough.
Sam Kingsley: Make sure you get tested for Covid if you're symptomatic!!! I failed to do that, and had to return only after I tested negative. That's nothing against the clinic, just make sure you get tested first!Mary was knowledgeable and very friendly. I'm not sure why the wait was so long. That'd be my only naysay, but in general, as long as you've got the time, I recommend this clinic for a same-day appointment.

Johnathon Otto: Don't use this place. They charge $75 to use the clinic and then the next month you will get a bill from Truman Medical Center for the doctor charge. It will cost you close to $200 if you do not have insurance. Ours was only for a prescription to get rid of a poison ivy outbreak. Go to a real urgent care if you need anything.
stephen hopkins: Extremely pleased with the professionalism and caring attitude everytime a family member has been seen. The fact that Urgent Care is directly associated with Truman Medical Center guarantees our regular doctors keep up to date with any medical issues.

That has happened three different times I have got a bill and I've had the call Truman and give them my insurance information. CVS minute clinic is so much better I never had a problem with them.

Chris hart: the medical physician here is amazing. I came here due to a possible earache. which another medical physician had misdiagnosed. the woman here took her time to listen to my issue and properly examine my ears. she not only find the issue but properly diagnosed me. she set me up with a treatment that cleared up my ear issues. for minor health issues this we become my recommended go-to location and I encourage others to use only this location in the independence area.
jojolovelife: I have been going to this location for several years, the staff is amazing and very personable. The knowledge they share concerning your medical issue is very helpful and gives peace of mind. Thanks so much! 😊
Heidi Clark: I scheduled an appointment for my son who is sick at 10:42am. I attempted to call the clinic (who is no way associated with the CVS) and kept getting hung up on. Then at 2:37pm someone finally calls be about the appointment the tell me they don’t know how it got double booked but the next slot they have open is 5:10pm. I explained that my son was already driving to come to appointment since we were supposed to be there 15 mins prior to the appointment time. She said there was no way they could see him till the later time. I cancelled appointment and would not recommend ANYONE to this location. They are very unprofessional!

Also not an urgent care clinic; after waiting multiple days through excruciating pain for test results, was told they would not prescribe anything and I should go to an urgent care facility since they could only test for one type of infection. Save yourself the "extra care" and go to an actual medical care office.

Bonnie Abrams: The only negative thing we experienced was the wait time. We signed up on the wait list, arrived early, and still had to wait almost 2 hours after our appt time to be seen, and they weren't busy (2 people ahead of us). Otherwise they were great though! My teenager thought she had an ear infection and the dr couldn't see us til the next day. The CVS nurse practitioner was really sweet, checked her out, got her a prescription written, and we were done within just a few minutes. I would definitely go here again for the quality of care, but would plan on waiting well past the sign up time-urgent care might be faster for those that need to be seen quickly.

Erin Gill: They are currently forcing my husband to wait literal WEEKS on lifesaving heart surgery because their dentist refuses to perform oral surgery that he needs to clear an infection before surgery is safe for him. We were first told we needed clearance from his surgeon, which the surgeon provided, and were then told the dentist wanted him off his blood thinners for three days before surgery and they would call him the same day to reschedule. My husband had to call them, only to be told the dentist "doesn't think it should be her decision how long he's off his blood thinners" (interesting, since she was pretty confident about it earlier this morning), and they're waiting on someone named "Mr. Dickson" (no one can tell us who on Earth Mr. Dickson is) to decide that for her. Meanwhile, my husband's risk of a recurrent heart attack or stroke increases by the day while they keep dragging their feet, but as long as no one swears about that over the phone, they're apparently fully comfortable with that risk, as well as the extended hours I've had to take off work to be there for sedated surgeries that wind up not happening. Do not recommend AT ALL.Update 10/24/22: "Mr. Dickson" is evidently "Dr. Dickson", and has scheduled an appointment with my husband for Wednesday at 2 pm, despite the fact that he has already had the required oral surgery after going in to this office and refusing to leave until someone explained the situation to him, at which point they magically produced a same day appointment. It's also worth noting that the entire reason my husband even needs this heart surgery is because Swope previously dismissed his active congestive heart failure as a simple respiratory infection, so there's that. I stand by my original comment that I wouldn't seek treatment here if you value your health.

Not only that, but I waited over 4 hours to be seen for literally 10 minutes, maybe less, because all I wanted was a doctors note for my work. Absolutely horrible. Will be disputing this bill, I am not paying that much. I could’ve went to an actually good doctor for that. Like an urgent care. Should’ve just done that to begin with. It’s sad that less fortunate people are treated like this.
Michelle Flemings: The receptionist is trash. I mean she is not professional at all. They will turn you away with no antibiotics. I promise. It’s looks like a place with a high turnover of employees. I have gotten my back molars taking out. They do not provide any antibiotics or anything for pain. It has been two month since I had the surgery and I am still in pain. Now I’m starting to have my ear hurting me behind the same side my two teeth being pulled out from. I do not recommend this place for great quality. Find somewhere else more decent with greater staff.

Thomas Alvino: First time here at this location. New nurse practitioner was nice and thorough. Both the waiting area and examining room was surprisingly HOT and almost unbearable! Two different nurses plus the practitioner tried to draw blood from me and failed with a total of five attempts. Not putting blame on any of them but it made the experience very uncomfortable and quite painful. Spent a total of 50 minutes here and another 20 waiting for my medication to be filled. ☆☆☆

Sonny Boy5: Dr. Linnick and Staff are old School Primary Care and I've been seeing him over 30yrs. There's Noone in my opinion that practices like it used too be. He will listen, He values how you feel, and Always respectful. This practice is a hidden gem.
Carol Martin: I have been with Dr. Linnick for around 40 years. I could not imagine having to go to another doctor. He is wonderful, kind and caring and he knows what he's doing. He has the patients of a Saint. I also love his staff, Elanore, Lisa and the rest of the gals.The gal that takes my blood is very good at her job.Thanks and Love to all of you, you are all most appreciated.
Robin: Update; Still have not provided me my medical records. I filed a request for a copy of my medical records twice. Was told they have thirty days. That was 7 months ago. Filed complaint. Nothing No medical records to date. Heartland Medical Care is horrible and their actions and attitudes are part of the medical and insurance issues rampant todayDr Wells is a wonderful doctor. All of the women that work there except for the one that quit are terrible! Lazy and ignorant. Never on time. Not courteous or informative at all. They never answer the phone, put you on hold forever, take their sarcastic time answering the door. I would not go here if you don't have too!!! I will never go back there. I will miss you Dr Wells. I wish you the best!
Kyle W: All doctor's offices have their pro's and con's and while I liked Dr. Wells, now that he is gone that was pretty much the good part of the practice. I don't see a reason to return. Off to find a new doctor I suppose.
Avaoifi1: This practice is small but a lost art…. They care about you and take time with you! If you want sweet staff and personal service that treats you as an individual… this is the place!
Vicky Rounds: I've been with Dr. Linnick for over 12 years. He takes pride of his job. He listens to me personally, one on one, he has literally saved my life, I want to thank him for being there through all my problems in life, I wouldn't be here without him. God bless him.

Bernie Johnson: Dr Wells is a great Doctor. He takes his time and listens to your concerns and issues. Never felt so cared for by a doctor before. He is a rare gem that's for sure.
Patty Wielicki: Once I drove 650 mile because 5 doctors in Alabama couldn't diagnose my health he did it in 2 minutes for a blown cervical spine. Dr Linnick had been my Dr years prior and I trusted him. I called his office 20 minutes from Independence, he saw me immediately. He listens and never prescribes without verification of interactions. He was urgent in his care because of the severity and time the injury persisted. He has the gift of healing in his hands, heart and mind. He reviewed and found the best surgeon in Alabama to perform the spinal fusions. He asked me where my pain was and knew instantly it was compressed nerves from my cervical spine. I was in severe pain and all the physicians in Alabama would only prescribe me tynol 3 for 2 ruptured discs and a bulged disc while claiming I had torn a ligament in my arm.
Billy Ho: Never answer the phone, never verify your upcoming appointment, and the kicker is when you asked for a referral they never do it so you have to call them back for them to do it and then it takes up to two weeks or more.

Krista Saffold: Dr Wells is amazing and takes the time to listen and address all your concerns. He does usually run behind but I believe that is because you get amazing patient care and I am willing to wait for that. Courtney at the front desk is also so sweet.
Kevin Ladd (KEVLAR): The doctors and the staff are simply the best in my years of going to Heartland. Very kind and educated with a great number of services to offer. They will listen and come up with a solution.

Miss Me Campbell: Fantastic Dr's as specially Dr Linnick and his wonderful receptionist Courtney. One of the BEST places to go to, I've been coming here to about 10 years and refuse to so anywhere else!
Peggy Greenwood: Dr. Wells takes time to listen and discuss your concerns with you. The staff are great. They are always pleasant and cheerful.
Stacey Missouri: I first called Heartland Medical Care over 3 years ago. I was looking to find my boyfriend a doctor and I was lucky to talk to Courtney that answered the phone. I explained that I had a man that didn't like to go to doctors but he needed to get a primary doctor. Courtney said Dr. Wells would be a great fit. I will tell you she was exactly right. Dr. Wells is old school and he is an amazing doctor. He explains things, he sits and talks to you not at you. He tells you what you need to know and does it with great compassion and just by being friendly it helps quite a lot. Sometimes it does take a bit to get into your appointment but it is because they have such amazing customer service and you don't feel like you are being pushed through and just another number. All of the staff is kind and friendly and they help you with your prescription refills and anything else you need. I will say Courtney gets a "10" for customer service. She knows everyone's name by heart and she always remembers things about the patients. I have witnessed that when sitting in the lobby. My doctor last year decided to retire. I normally get a female doctor but I decided also to go with Dr. Wells after seeing how he treated my boyfriend and the care that he got at Heartland Medical Center. I would like to give Dr. Wells 10 STARS if I could !
Kevin Dang: First, I found them online through a search to find a primary care provider that would take my insurance. I called to verify that this was true. Get there and they dont take it. My employer did switch insurance companies since so I had to get my new insurance information. Provided that to them within 10 minutes and then I still couldn't be seen for my appointment and had reschedule over a month away. Extremely disappointed.
Carol Boydston: Doctor listebs and got imaging results and made progress and referral for possible cancer results .concerned and transfer all my recorders when Tmc gave me run around 4 month while cancer spreader in my lungs
Georgia Moss: From what I remember going years ago, this was a nice place with good Drs. I called today however to schedule an appointment that was long overdue, and I got the worst, condescending, and borderline rude assistance from a woman named Lisa. I will be going somewhere else from now on.
Greg McQuade: Best Doctor’s and Staff. Dr. Linnick is very thorough and a very good listener. Will go above and beyond to ensure you receive the care you need. Office staff is phenomenal and very responsive.

ashley morgan: I had a great experience today. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Kelby Schroeder was great. I felt heard I felt like I have a say in my care. I felt like she is working with me instead of telling me. Totally different experience from the Blue Springs office. Where the front office is rude along with the uncaring doctor.
Jacob C: Dr Jayne Bumgarner is the best primary care physician I have ever dealt with. Thorough and great bedside manner when I have seen her in person, and allows the option to message her for non urgent issues and responds quickly everytime. Cannot recommend Dr B enough
Blake Swearngin: They never answer the phone. If you stay on the line it will eventually hang up on you while you wait. Just trying to get some health care here but nobody ever answers.
tanya fowlkes: The office staff was rude, unprofessional while trying to be set up as new patient. If that is the care they provide upfront. Don't want to be seen there. Will look for another doctor

Rudder30: Saint Luke's sent me a Text reminder and sent me to the Dr. Office in Liberty, which was incorrect. The people at the Liberty office were really nice and apologetic for the miss information. I call the Independence office and told them what happened, they said they couldn't get me in for two weeks. This was their fault, they didn't apologize or anything. I took off work to do this and they didn't care. Also if you notice the Independence office doesn't update their web site for what doctors they have on staff and also their voice message is incorrect. One doctor has been gone over a year and he is still listed.
Brandy Nicole: Updating my review because Dr. Werth is no longer with the practice anymore. I am now seeing Dr. Hamo who I love already. All of the staff is really friendly and helpful, and they call in refills the same day usually when I leave a message on their machine. Recently, I had to call them because I was not feeling well mentally (crying hysterically on the phone) and they returned my phone call within ten minutes and got me in for an emergency appointment to see Dr. Hamo. I appreciate that they prioritize mental health calls as much as they do medical emergencies. Dr. Hamo took his time with me and listened to my concerns and how I was feeling even while I was crying my heart out and discussed ways of coping with stress.It's nice to know the staff at Saint Luke's cares so much about their patients because that's honestly few and far between in healthcare nowadays!
Mary Hennessy: I like Dr. Guerra very much, would honestly give him 4 or 5 stars but the support staff leaves a lot to be desired. They are short with you over the phone and also in person. If I could see him without going through those individuals it would be much better!
Joe Hillebrand: Dr Werth always takes time to listen to my concern and is always reassuring. I can email him directly with questions. His nurse has always returned my call same day if calling by noon. The appointment side can use a little improving. I don’t think they always try very hard to work in an appointment. However, we have used the walk in clinic at the Saint Luke’s East hospital location
Timberley Hidalgo: I called very sick today, fever and head cold. Receptionist said leave message for nurse to call me in something, I did at 8:45am, I called back 9:30am, never heard from nurse for Dr. Guerra, I asked for another doctor, she said I must wait for nurse, no appointments available. She at least should of told me about St Luke's Walk-in clinic in Blue Springs. I waited to 1:15pm, nurse never called me, and this receptionist told me about Blue Springs clinic. They need train schedules better!! I'm very sick. At 1:45pm Nurse Amy calls leaves message, doctor out today, she has appointments tomorrow, while I just called earlier they said nothing till Friday. This place is a Joke!! Plus she said I should go to Hyvee for St Luke's walk in clinics. Why no one tell me this this morning, after I waited all day! Tired of this doctor office, looking for new doctors office!
mike Dines: Love my doctor and staff but at Luke's has everything so understaffed that a simple thing like seeing your doctor becomes this huge undertaking. Terrible. When I need my doctor I don't need her w month from now. Very frustrating
russell burton: Very rude to begin with. Got chastised for not regularily being there for a pro time. What he failed to remember was that he cancelled my last appointment 3 or 4 days before the appointment. When i brought this fact up he kicked me out of the office. I thought for sure it would be snowing outside from all the snowflakes.
Laura Shafer: I have been a patient for 25 years since Dr Steiner was practicing at Family Health off of East 24 Hwy. I appreciated the friendly and helpful office staff there. When I was sick they could usually get me in the same day. Ever since he moved to St Luke's Primary Care I have been disappointed. The office staff is rude and unprofessional in person and over the phone. (like mentioned in several reviews)Dr Steiner retired in Dec 2018 and I knew I was going to have to see a different doctor. I was sick a week and a half ago so I called for an appointment and they said I couldn't make an appointment because I hadn't seen a new Doctor yet. I ended up having to go to the emergency room with pneumonia. I was told to make a follow-up appointment with my PCP. I called on Monday and they couldn't get me in until Friday. The women that checked me in said my insurance card did not go through. I told her that my husband had just retired and we were going on cobra. I called the cobra office and they said it would take 7 to 10 days to put my payment in the system. The office staff didn't even try to help me. They didn't ask if I could pay out of pocket and when my insurance paid them they could reimburse me or any other type of arrangment so that I could be seen. I have always had insurance and what insurance didn't cover I paid.I only wish I could give them a zero rating.
Alli: Dr. Bumgarner is an amazing doctor. She actually takes the time to listen to your needs and I am always happy with my visits when I come to see her.
Lisa Stutts: So far my only complaint is how difficult it is to get into see someone. There typically is no availability to see someone the sameday if you need to get in right away for a problem.
Kelci Stephenson: I love the doctors here, but the front desk staff is consistently rude and inconsiderate every time I deal with them. They also make no effort to keep your privacy when speaking to you. If it werent for the doctors here, I'd go somewhere else just because they're so off-putting.
