Mid-Continent Public Library - North Independence Branch: what do users think?
Sam Kingsley: I come here mainly for my children, and my wife takes them to Storytime every week. It has some Legos, a couple computers, and lots of opportunities for coloring and reading. They have seasonal activities, and "can-you-spot-it" for the kids to enjoy in the library.I still come to this library for my own books/audiobooks/movies. I appreciate Mid-Continental Library in general because of the ease of access to material, and their many libraries and programs.

Mid-Continent Public Library - South Independence Branch: what do users think?
Chris Chubick: Very good library the lady I dealt with was very nice and helped me Find what I was looking for
Michael Jenkins: This is my first time visiting this location. It was closed when I went a few years back but it’s up and running now. I love how spacious this location is and how it’s close to most convenient stores.I really like the customer service as well!
emilia bondsingram: I called the Independence location with a question on small business services. The person I spoke with (I believe the name wasEmma)was so helpful, personable and professional. She proved just what I was looking for.
Lupe Moe: Great place.
Amy Roman: We are from Rochester Ny our 3 year old is obsessed with books. We told him that we were going to make a list of books so we can check them out when we get home. The nice librarian offered him 2 books as a souvenir! That was so kind! Thank you so much!
Dianna Middlebrooks: First time there. Staff was very helpful. Nice clean library.
christy keen: Nice & helpful staff. Our favorite branch!lots of parking.
bonnie olds: This library is awesome. The people are helpful and friendly. This library makes it possible for people to have access to so many books that they can't afford to buy.
Nathan Malicoat: Always a wonderful experience at this location. The staff is friendly, and the environment warm, and welcoming. This place is the best.
Elizabeth Elizabeth Ann Mckie: Good selection and helpful staff
Jessica Fristoe: love it! so happy story time is back! I had my 2 girls during all the covid shut downs so we're just now getting to do all the fun things I've been wanting to do with them story time being one of them. my girls love it Mondays and Thursday 10-11am does get a little loud those days it being mostly small children but the staff that host are great love them. and the times we've been in that weren't story time were quiet like a normal library(I mention because I looked at some of the other reviews that complained about being loud)
Michael Tilley: Libraries will never be irrelevant, and this branch demonstrates that. You may come to the library for literature, media, or internet/technology access, but the true value is the staff. I've seen patrons demonstrate their sense of privilege and entitlement and the staff treat them fairly, and continue to offer service. The library is one of the few safe spaces left. What a magical place.
Marion Williams: I've never been to the library in independence. They have a nice assortment of music, books, large print books, and things that can be done online. The staff was proactively helpful in obtaining a mid-coninent public library card and the mid-continent branch close to me.
whytewytch: Great selection of books, CDs, magazines and DVDs. Easy to locate. Clean.
Ana Romero Miranda: The employee here are very nice and polite when they see somebody walking in they said did you need help and that what I like about people that cares about costumers service!
Lary Meyer: The staff is very helpful, love the library!
Jill Jurgeson: Bathroom is nice and smells ahhhmazing.
DAVID GROSS: Have a good size lobby for reading, you can walk in and use the public computer. Your holds are as soon as you walk in. Has a meeting room you can use.
Andrea Buchan-Hill: Love the remodeled layout. We love, love, love midcontinent, and this branch is no exception ❤️
subdivide: Pretty sweet Library. They have books. They have movies they have music they have computers and internet and the whole shebang a bang for free. So they're doing pretty good over at the library. I personally think that more people should give them a try over at the library. It is a good time.
Kirsten Vassalli: Very clean and organized. I just moved to town and librarian was extremely helpful getting me all set up.

Midwest Genealogy Center: what do users think?
Kimberlee Utecht: Absolutely beautiful library. Quiet, very clean. Historical collections are outstanding, and the displays are entertaining. Staff is knowledgeable and approachable. My special needs teenage son now comes here to study every day, (to be removed from the noise and chaos of having a toddler at home, so he can actually focus,) over several other MCPL and KCPL branches he's tried. Bonus points for being open later than any other branch we've found, every day of the week.
Sam Kingsley: Loved coming here to do some family history! I meant to go for about an hour and explore, maybe use their computers a bit. I got on a computer and before I knew it, 4 hours went by. The atmosphere and staff were perfect for the vibe needed to focus and be productive.
Delorous Walters: Always Top Notch people working in the center. Very knowledgeable. Friendly. I use them a lot. Never ever had the slightest complaint from me. Always always friendly people.
Robert Perez: Go out and vote.
Thomas Tortorich: This is a place where I can focus and concentrate without distraction. That's one big thing I'm looking for in a library. Many times, public libraries can be loud with children's programs, etc. This branch is quiet. I love being able to study and focus when I come here. It is also one of the most aesthetically beautiful libraries in the area.
Ruby J Burkhalter: A really nice place to visit, an awesome young lady name Lindsey with a beautiful smile ♥️
Roland Martin: Staff was very very helpfull in assisting me to learn to use Family search by asking questions about my tree them assisting me in searching for the answers
Lupe Moe: The staff was as very friendly and accommodating.
Ernesto Rodriguez: You can explore history of your family tree and hard to find details.
Tina Picht: Every country, state and county under one roof. The perfect place for any genealogist to spend hours. The staff is very helpful if you need assistance in finding information.
Shawn D: Great Genealogy Center when you get the right person working the room. This last visit was not very good, maybe the staff is still getting acclimated to returning to work. 1st I needed my sign-in ID # - lady at front desk wrote it wrong. 2nd it's been a while the woman working the room didn't/could give me a quick update on how to search information. Not a very productive day 🙃🤔 maybe next time.
b l: Interesting displays.
Doug Schieszer: This is a great place to research your family. The staff is super helpful!
Kirk Brown: This is, by far, the best genealogical library I have seen outside of Salt Lake City. The staff was amazing, helpful, and friendly. Their catalog consists of a huge number of genealogy related books, thousands of rolls of microfilm, and much, much more. The staff is always willing to help, and is absolutely passionate about family history. A MUST for any genealogist, whether professional or amateur.
Bwana Hikes: Wow! This is a great resource for Kansas City area residents.A beautiful building, with outstanding employees able to help the experienced and novice genealogists with their searches. I'd recommend reserving a computer in advance to ensure you can use their online resources as well.
William Crowder III: It would take you years to go thru all the info they have available. Most info is for the local area, but they have resources for other areas as well. Online opts as well. Free Ancestry.com Library Access thru June 30, 2021.
Ruben McCampbell: Nice & BrandNew Place Best Money CanBuy Come On Down Ya Hear 👏👏👏👏✌💥🌟😀!!
Jill Shinn: Very Interesting
Carol: Staff is always friendly, very knowledgable, specialized in genealogy, and interested in helping patrons of the library.
Katrice Parker: Very nice place
Laurena Calderón: Clean. Quiet. Comfortable. Modern
