Chris Robertson: It has been nearly 4 weeks since I paid a 50% deposit for some new sod to be installed and so far I have not heard anything from the company about when they might be coming to lay the sod. I am starting to be concerned that this company might be a scam. I will check back and leave an update if anyone ever contacts me regarding install.

Jenni: I would not use Arreola Lawn and Landscape for ANYTHING! The owner is unprofessional, doesn’t go by his own contract in regards to payment. He held my job hostage until he was paid in full. He also added on additional charges because his salesperson didn’t write the contract correctly, so the owner says.The only and I mean only redeeming quality about this company is the employees. The guys working on the job showed more heart and cared more about the project. Because of his employees and him subcontracting part of the work out is the only reason I am happy with the job.But because of the owner I would not recommend this company for anything.

Heather Stryker: Arreola Lawn Maintenance was incredibly professional and did really great work! We wanted to get our house ready to sell after it had gone without a mow for months. The only real direction I could give was less grass, trimmed bushes, new mulch, and they knocked it out of the park! So much better than I imagined our yard could look and for a really competitive price! sandra randle: I hired Vivtor in 2020 to build me a retaining wall and to add dirt in it to build it up. In order to build it up, he had to remove two of my bushes and replace them. When replacing them he must not dug the hole dip enough because both of my bushes died. After notifying Vivtor in 2021 he come over and said he would replace them and gave me a time and date. He never came by nor called. I called Vivtor several times with him say I'm coming. As of today I have not heard from Vivtor. He is all about that dollar bill not the service he give. Kathleen Paulson: I had them clean up from a demo job and lay new dirt. They left numerous old cinder blocks. Had them add new gravel to drive way. They left the section in front of my garage incomplete of gravel after I was told it need more. When I reminded them of the additional gravel I was given a flimsy excuse. I would not recommend this company for any work. Their pictures look great but they cut corners all the way.

Flex Conduit: It’s been 16 months since the work has been done, so this review is over due.By far the best investment we’ve ever made in our home was hiring Victor to hardscape our yard. It has transformed the appearance of the whole property, adding undeniable value to our home and beautifying the whole intersection of the neighborhood where our home sits. Some changes and additions were made while the project was underway by both Victor and myself that I was able to negotiate at a fair price on the spot. Mine ended up an expensive job but worth every penny! I met neighbors I had never talked to before who had nothing but compliments and wanted to know who the contractor was that I used. One guy a half block down even had his landscaper copy the way Victor edged around the trees in my yard! Spencer Snodgrass: I'll begin this by saying what Victor did, the work looks good, so he gets one star for that. Now we get to the bad. We asked for natural rock edging around our house. In talking with us he recommended using plastic edging, which based one every other quote from reputable companies, was substantially cheaper. The total on every other quote was roughly $1000.I called Victor several times and he only ever explained that he "bid the job, not the linear feet". I paid $1000 more just to get this crook off my property after he did work that we were over paying for. Do not use him.

Sandra Kilpatrick: They tore my yard up really bad, breaking one of my planters, breaking my fence, were supposed to put in a pond and instead dug a hole and filled it with rocks. I made them take that out, it was supposed to help with a water drainage problem. They decided to run a pipe to the back of the yard, it did not help, that cost me another 550.00, called him back out to show that it did not help at all, now wants to run pipe across two neighbors yards to side street at the cost of 350.00 more. The patio is getting water but not the flowerbed in back and flower needs in front are not getting water. I wish that I had went with another company.

George Ferris: Update 5/19... Ryan the office manager sent a real professional to fix all the issues. Thank you!I scheduled to have Lawn and Sprinkler Guys activate my sprinkler system on 5/16. Their employee flat out broke my backflow preventer by jerking it too roughly, breaking the PVC cuppling. The gentleman refused to accept responsibility. He told me that was mother nature's fault and that winter caused that. I reminded him that the PVC was perfectly connected prior to him putting his hands on it and jerking it until it broke. I watched him break it. I was standing right there. Their employee became quite argumentative to the point I had to ask him to leave my property.I've called and left voicemails. No one has returned my calls. I posted photos of the broken PVC coupling. I also have their employee on Ring camera breaking my backflow valve.The same gentleman that broke my valve was on my property yesterday repairing a broken sprinkler head. He did a very poor job. I had to call the office to request they send out a different employee to fix the sprinkler head.Instead, they sent the same guy. Now he's broken two of my things.All this over a simple activation? This spring I noticed a different landscaping company had been hired and you could immediately notice how horrible this complex looked. I complained to management as well as other tenants. We were told they wanted to give another landscaping company a chance and what a huge mistake that was. If it’s not broken don’t fix it! Thank goodness they realized cheaper isn’t better and hired Brummel back. This company is so meticulous in their work and it shows. We once again have a pristine looking landscape and they are very prideful in their work!

The service men seem to change frequently and do not perform like they are trained very well. When cutting the mowers don't take care to throw the grass away from air condition units causing them to be full of grass which makes them work harder to cool. Most recently, while weed eating the area around my unit the air condition line was cut and the technician didn't say a word. Also when they do weed eat they don't give very much detail to the area nor do they properly blow away the clippings. Justin Bliefnick: They installed an irrigation system, installed 40 yards of dirt to level out the yard and improve slope around the house, aerated, verticut, and over-seeded our yard. Services were done fast and their crew was very friendly and polite. We planted our own bushes and trees and then we found out one section of the landscaping was getting too much water. We called the office and they had someone out the next day and fixed the problem. I am very impressed with their customer service (both on site and in the office) and the education I received during the bid presentation for the irrigation. Fast, friendly and professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing one of their services.
Stephany Nicoll: I have not used them for any lawn service, but was immediately unimpressed and would not call them for service after seeing them driving from 350hwy in Raytown to 50hwy in LS yesterday throwing a giant sandwich wrapper or some sort of trash out the driver side window onto the highway as I was passing them! Take care of grass, but let’s litter all over 👍 Does not look good when representing a business on the side of the truck you are throwing trash out of.

Detailed drawing of install and explained in detail the system and what/why on each sprinkler head, zones and system that runs it. The installation was even more impressive with a full team of installers and equipment. Showed up on time and were done 4 hours later. Throughly explained how the system works and walked through everything on the app. Answered all my questions and everyone on the crew were courteous and helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend!

Also there was some areas in our yard where the irrigation line was installed and the grass did not look good in those areas so Bridget had a crew seed and fertilize our yard. Our yard looks great. Tam C: We've used Ryan Lawn and tree for a decade, at least, and never had a problem with them. Late last year and this year it seems that they are having lots of issues. They took a month longer than usual to turn on our irrigation system and within 2 weeks of it being on we had a major leak that resulted in a geyser and us having to turn off the system completely. We called for them to to come out and they are understaffed and aren't able to fix it for over 6 weeks. 6 weeks during the summer without the ability to water the yard that we also pay them to treat. I believe that they have expanded beyond their capabilities and staff and are not prioritizing retaining clients by being able to meet their needs, and instead only focusing on client growth. Stephen Painter: Called made an appointment for lawn care. Week later get an email from a Manager states the fees. I say great go ahead. NOTHING HAPPENS. Then I get a vague basic cover email with the picture of the owner and him saying that he apologizes for the confusion, that we do not usually work like this, blah, blah, blah. At this point it has been over a month since my request and accepting the bid for service but NO SERVICE has been provided. Not sure how that got to this size of a company with the way they operate this business. If you hire them, good luck.
Chip Hayes: Disappointed. We asked them to come provide an estimate on some landscaping. A team member came out and we had a good discussion and he told me he would get me the quote within 48 hrs. It has been 3 weeks and still no estimate. I called them 3 days ago and they apologized and told me they would have the quote right over. Still haven’t heard anything from them. Nick Rude: What would you define as the Ryan difference?I personally feel the Ryan difference is the extreme lack of communication and lack of urgency in taking care of there customers. When the customer has to call multiple times to get a quote after the “professionals” have come to look at the property, this doesn’t seem like you are valued. Not to mention having to wait a month just to get someone to come look at the project. This hasn’t happened just one time but multiple times for me.The “Ryan Difference” is not want you think it is. With that being said I will say that when they do finally get you the quote they do fairly decent job.

Michelle Klein: Let me start by saying that Ryan’s started out with excellent service but that has drastically gone down hill in the last couple of years. Every season Ryan’s has ALWAYS sent me an email in late March to let me know that they would be out to open my irrigation system in late April or early May. I had not yet received said email and had noticed several others that had theirs already going. I called today and was told that the earliest appointment that they had was June 7. This is totally unacceptable! This is horrible customer service. Current customers should have been notified that their scheduling “process” had changed and that it was now first come first served and that we had to initiate the process.
