Main Event Independence: what do users think?
DAVID TORRENTT: Great place had alot of funFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Dianne Davis: Food: 2/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Gigi Woodman: Pretty much every video game we played was poorly calibrated.Any shooting games, from rifle types, to jurassic park to ,you name it, didn't aim very well at all. A lot of the controllers were broken ,some really badly ,obviously broken. U already put ur money in by time u can tell it's broken or doesn't work properly. To me this equals a rip off. They have a lot of staff hanging around, but not so much walking the floors to see what's going on.We've gone to other arcades and not had this experience of the machines being so ill calibrated that it was hard to aim. Played games we usually play at the other places, but it just felt like a rip off. And none of us could score the type of scores we typically would. Nope won't go back!
John F: Main event Independence is a fun place to go if you are looking for some variety of activities, such as bowling, arcade games, laser tag, billiards, and karaoke. The place is clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food and drinks are decent, but nothing to write home about. The only downside is that the prices are a little high, especially for the arcade games and laser tag. You can save some money by going during the weekday specials or using coupons. I think this place is more suitable for adults or older kids who can enjoy the games and entertainment. I would not recommend it for families with young children, as the area is not very safe or kid-friendly. There are not many attractions or activities for toddlers or preschoolers, and the place can get loud and crowded at night. I would give main event Independence a 4 out of 5 stars for a fun night out with friends or coworkers.
Andrea Allen: Great atmosphere for a good time! The biggest problem was the service in the bowling area specifically. We were never checked on by the staff putting in food orders, additionally the same server requested a tip without providing good service or communication. We basically had to chase him down. We also had to go out of our way to ask for water 3 times! The last problem was the staff busting down the table, he hovered over us RIGHT after our hour was up. I find that very rude cosidering they were hardly present the entire time we were bowling.Train your staff better!
Skylar Moon: Good prices on games outrageous prices on alcohol. Update... Prices have went up and service has went down.I stood at the bar for 20 minutes being the only customer while a guy I stood behind the glass window leaning his butt on the food surface just staring at me and would not come serve me. finally when the main manager with the keys in the badge came buy he jumped up and ran to help me then.Don't bother trying to call the place the employees refuse to answer the phone. Just imagine how much money they lose on birthday parties or reservations cuz they just won't answer the phone
Marie Cooper: Great family funFood: 3/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Saige Hutson: Great place to go with friends and family. Went bowling with my friends and had a great time.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Lybbee Ebahotubbi: This place was beautiful but the staff was rude soooo rude. The security guard was not helpful and verbally rude and even made rude remarks. We bought an hour to bowl and the young man was very rude and slammed our shoes down while rolling his eyes definitely won't go back hereService: 1/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Thomas Carter: My kids love this place. It's a bit expensive though. I think they out priced themselves for prizes at the arcade. I really haven't tried to much of the menu, but the pizza is okay. The food so far is nothing I'd brag about. I will say that the service was friendly and really quick to respond. I found them attentive and it really made the difference for me as far as visiting.
Matthew Maroney: If you follow the cancellation policy, best of luck trying to get a refund. They are unresponsive.Service: 1/5 …More
teesha king: Omg! I love the activitie games that they have, can't wait to go back again to have fun in the sun.Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Derek Maskerade: Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Christina Jackson: Too many arcade games were broken. Our server was great, I wish I could say the same of the food. They have a bowling alley and escape rooms are under construction. We might go to those at some point. Unimpressed, overall.Food: 2/5|Service: 5/5 …More
Emmy W: Went to go bowling here; I highly recommend reserving your lanes and times as far ahead as you can if you plan to go on a Saturday or Sunday.Very clean tables and alley. The women's bowling shoes looked like they'd gone through a shredder... Larger sizes for the men were fine, but smaller sizes are definitely terrible. Super bad initial impression. The bowling alley bar service was very sparse so we ended up walking to the bar to order which seemed to work quicker.
Ella Brown: Closed @ 12 due to staffing.
Christopher Post: Definitely not a place for parents on a budget, but the staff was friendly and attentive and my kids had a really good timeFood: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Mark Edwards: Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Jon Olson: I stopped by to get an idea of the layout as I was planning my kids birthday party.AJ was working at the door. He gave me a brief tour, answered all my questions and gave me a few tips to make sure the party goes well. Great customer service!
Michelle Floyd: Pricey....bowling alley would be cheaperService: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Lysa White: 1st time here my son 6th birthday was here absolutely love it

Jaegers Laser Tag: what do users think?
Deanna Lee: We’d scheduled my son’s 12th birthday party here. So easy to schedule and low-key. The kids had fun, we had the place to ourselves, and we’d definitely go back! Super easy and simple.
Jill Brown: We hosted post prom here recently and I'd do so again in a heartbeat! The staff is top notch, super responsive and even bright eyed and fun at 2 in the morning! Thank you all so much for a truly fantastic experience!
Sally Parker: We had alot of fun! Definitely will go back!!
nich H: Fun but it smells
Robin Taylor: Had a BLAST!!!! Here on Spring Break and we took the kids early (1:30pm) the first there so we had the room all to ourselves!!!!! When I say we had a BLAST, believe me, we did! This was our 1st time every doing laser tag and we all had a wonderful time. (Great exercise for the hubby and I...lol). The prices are affordable, we did 3 sessions @ $15 per person(5 of us). We will definitely be back when we come back to town. Not to mention the staff waswonderful and explained everything to a T for us newbies. (Also ideas on other things to do with kids here in Kansas). If you haven't been, give them a try! Good for adults and children. Might try their paintballing next time as well. Thanks for a great time JAEGERS!!!!!❤️
Madison Womack: They’re the best. I had a group reservation and we unknowingly showed up 2.5 hours later than our planned time. They took us right in and handled it like pros. We kept apologizing and they were so kind about it. So grateful for them - my friend said it was the best birthday ever. 3 Will definitely be back soon!!
danielle walker: had a blast
Samantha Browning: We booked my nephews birthday here for laser tag, and they overbooked. They upgraded us to the party room for no extra charge. Everyone was so pleasant and kind.
Sherry Z: I have to say the Laser Tag was very fun, even for this 66-yr-old and the employees are wonderful. Judy at the front desk was not only helpful but incredibly entertaining. Took our three grandchildren - ages 7, 8 and 9 - for our grandson's birthday. This place slayed it. We walked out of there and the first thing he said was, "Best birthday EVER!" We will be going back for another birthday next year! Be prepared when you get out of your car, though, to be gobsmacked with the odor of sulfa coming down the hill. They have to drain it to keep it from flowing into the cave. Other than that, I'd give this place 10 stars if I could!!
Matthew Brand: Fun birthday experience for my 9 year old and all the adult children involved lots of laser tag and a great price to boot
Lexi Easton: went laser tagging, super reasonably priced for what you get! it’s awesome and fun!
Elisha Quintois: Took the younger two kids because my son was turning 15 and his 13yr sister was the only sibling that agreed to go. When we arrived another child was have his 10th birthday party there. Everyone was fine with my kids Joining the group and my son said it was a fun birthday event.
Dr. David Knox: Our grandsons birthday party experience
donald binggeli: Had a great time with the family at a very reasonable price. Will definitely be going back for more Lazer tag! Family of 5 can play three games for only $75! Going to need a workout to much more than 3. 😆
Ddrummer G: Place is Awesome by yourself or with a group. all the equipment you need for rent good prices. They also got everything to buy if you want to own your own equipment.
Sarah Basler-Villers: Laser Tag was AWESOME. We played a round with 2 teams, a round against another party, then a free for all. Thankful there was enough room to spread out beyond our 2 table accommodations. I'd wait to buy coin for the arcade. Some games took cash or quarters, some games were down. They did say "small arcade." Overall a great birthday party. She said she had a blast. I may have been a little over the top with decor and backdrop for Harry Potter photo booth, but it worked out great!
Thorlock: Perfect for a birthday or just something to do with family and friends. Highly recommend
Preston S2020: Pretty fun little place to go with a group, kind staff and over all a good experience. One thing to keep in mind is, in the Lazer tag room it gets really warm.
kevin walton: I’m Kevin JR and my family and I had a blast! The Laser tag was huge! Everyone was nice! I recommend going to this place to play because it’s very fun!
Collin Pounds: This place is a great time for all ages. The service is awesome and friendly, and gave us clear instructions on how to play. Thank you Jaegers Laser Tag!
jason barber: Had a great time

Tom McDowell: Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure Price for adult entry FreeMore
Shantra Sisk: Some of the arcade games could have been less tokens or actually worked. I was surprised to see it was still open. I grew up in south KC so it was awesome to still have something from my childhood.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry Free …More
Robert Walding: Arcade was great hit the jackpot on multiple games! Staff were really friendly and helpful. There was a three hour unlimited pass for mini golf and go karts, and for some reason you could only buy it at certain times. Otherwise they have been getting more up to date
Carrie Porter: It was honestly super lame. MostOf the game machines ate your coins or didn’t give you your tickets. Or didn’t work. The mini golf was poorly maintained. The only ok thing was the go karts. Overall I do regret spending my money here. It just sucks and total waste. But the employees are super cool! Just won’t be returning
Joseph D: The mini golf was fun with 3 courses to choose from.
Marcel Jr.: Me and my daughter loves this place...
Jill Kroencke: Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure Price for adult entry $21–30More
Andrew Stuehmer: Great time! Took a second to understand how the holes work. Been around forever. Didn't get to finish all the holes :(Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry $6–10 …More

Casey Clements: Course was a little run down, but still was fun. Wish someone would stick alittle money into this place as it's a great piece of history.
Charles Herndon: Great place for family fun
Tammy M: We rode the go carts and went to the arcade this time. It was fun but there were several games that were out of order. This place has been around for over 40 years and I think it's pretty cool!
steffh blackmon: Love it but looking for fun places for kids age 5
Liah Bruckner: I brought my son here today 5/5/2023. It was at 5:30 and they were not busy at all. There was one helpful older gentleman who told me to get tokens from the machine and not the counter because you don’t have to pay tax. Other than that every young person working here was rude and not helpful. They were all standing in a circle talking, not wanting to be interrupted. When I went to the counter originally for tokens the young woman working argued with a young guy on who would help me. They were two feet in front of me arguing about helping me. It was awkward. I finally said “can anyone just get me some tokens.” That’s when the older gentleman told me about the machine. We used the terminator shooting game and only one side worked, the other took my coins. Several of the machines took the tokens but wouldn’t play. With the rude teenagers working there it was pointless to ask for our tokens back. We then went to get food from their snack shack.. the two people working said order from up there and pointed to the front desk and walked away from us.. so we didn’t even bother. We wanted to play mini golf, but couldn’t get anyone to help us get golf clubs. Overall the workers really ruined the experience for us. We won’t be back. Super disappointed because this was a staple of both mine and my partners childhood that we had hoped to share with our son. Hoping they see this review and make the necessary changes in employment to make this place thrive again.
Krista Donovan: I highly suggest buying your tickets from Groupon. If you try to buy them off cool crest's website and head in shortly after the staff will tell you it takes 24 hours for it to register in their system. This was very inconvenient. They had to issue a refund (which can take 5-7 days) and buy then purchase the tickets from them in person at the desk for a higher price. Other than that, the go-karts were really fun! Mini golf could use some nice decor or something to liven it up. Arcade was a little on the run down side. Some of them were out of order and/or displayed low tickets signs. My kids enjoyed it though so that made it worth it.
David & Keri Birk: Great family fun
Michael Copeland: Many machines were broken or did not give out tickets I ordered two sodas cost was $7.13 I handed them a ten+13 cents I confused them they couldn't make change I had to tell them they owed me$3 pretty sad
Chris Bryant: Went for mini golf. Staff was friendly. Place was somewhat clean. Course we played could use some updates, not sure about the rest. It was functional, provided some fun and entrainment.
Christopher Senter: Showed up before 7 when they close at 8 to mini golf. they told me they were closing early cause they were slow and then as I said "okay thank you" and was walking away an employee blurted "go away"Trash service and trash business
Terence LaPoint: A very cool place to go but it is need of renovations.
Jeremy Buenneke: We had a blast One of the only places in KC to ride go-karts it was fun for the whole family it is close to the stadium so it's not too far from anywhere in town and the prices are just right I highly recommend this place if you want to have a good time

PowerPlay Metro North Entertainment Center: what do users think?
Elaina Gurung: Fun, but half, if not most, of the games didn’t work properly. Most of the issues were that the game would take your points, but then wouldn’t work. A lot of the games were also out of service. There was a person walking around making sure the games work at least. The mini bowling and skee ball were fun! Also the prize area(?) seems really bare.
Laurie Zamora: Our family always has a wonderful time here!
Hilary Lehr: Always a fun time for the kids and adults!
Neozyn: It’s was ok. There was this teenager in charge of the go karts that didn’t let my kid ride even though she was taller than my 10 year old because she wasn’t 9. Ruined the experience everyone else was nice except for that guy, curly hair, up to his shoulders, a lot of acne on the lower part of his face.
Felicia: I always love Powerplay when we go. It's cheaper than D&B and has more attractions in my opinion. The cashier could have been nicer and more friendly
Jose De La Cruz: The location was easy to spot. It may have been the time and day I visited, so the pizza place in there was not open. The games were fun, the go karts were short timed but still fun nonetheless. 10/10 would definitely go again?
bruce Burns: Great place for the kids
Michelle Stilwell: Looked like a great place to take the kiddos.
Aarron: Great experience.
Ericka Porter: Attended for a birthday party. Busy but not terrible for a Saturday. Pizza was pretty good, games were fun but a few were out of order. Our kids had a great time
LVNDRV: If you're looking for a fun and affordable place to hang out with your kids, PowerPlay is the perfect spot! Not only do they offer a wide range of exciting games and attractions that your kids will love, but you as a parent can also join in on the fun and even relax a little bit. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the facilities are clean and well-maintained. Overall, PowerPlay is a great place to spend quality time with your family without breaking the bank. I highly recommend it!
Abdifatah Osman: The kids always have fun!
Leah Hicks: Great place to take the kiddos. They have a buffet on weekends. You can order food at the front entrance or they have a concession stand as well. And they have alcohol. Go carts are so fun. They also have a mini bowling alley. We had my nephews 5th birthday party here. Had a great time. Staff was friendly and helpful. Better service than at Main Event in my opinion. Went on a Wednesday night and wasn't super crowded.
Kaye MCClenton: It was a fun time celebrating my Grandson 9th birthday! The food tasted a little different from the last time we we there before Covid. But over all we had a blast!
Mac: Horrible horrible. We had a birthday party and the room was tiny and was expensive for 45 minutes. Half the games didn’t work, the staff didn’t care, we didn’t recieve our goodie bags or cards or balloons. The manager just said “I can’t refund you but you can have extra points”. I don’t want extra points I want the correct order the first time or my money back. We will NEVER be back and we will be calling corporate. Our “party hero” stalked outside the door the whole time like a weirdo instead of explaining rules and was completely useless. Because of this experience, we will never back.
Lacy Fristoe: Had my daughters 7th birthday there yesterday there Rollercoaster the mini one was down ,the bouncy house was down .they totally forgot to even give me the goodie bags that were suppose to come with the party. The pizza was not good . But they didn't rush us I out of the room atleast .
Cliff Weatherbee: Great customer service!!
ALISSA HENDERSON: Needs alot of updates and carpet cleaning.
Aixa Grajales: Kids had an amazing time. I recommend going with at least $100. they also have a buffet which is super cool. they serve pizza and pasta and other nice stuff. the race track was closed when i went. And one employee was rude to us. but other than that we had a great time. Loved the laser escape room. super cool.
Daphne Elizabeth: This place used to be fun… now it’s nasty, dangerous, and boring. Tons of games were not working, every surface is nasty, (as seen in pictures) the bathroom smells AWFUL like sewers, most of the toilets were clogged, and the soap dispenser and lots of other things were busted apart in the bathroom. The employees were not professional. We did go karts, and it was NOT a good experience. Out of all 6 of us that went on, nobody’s seatbelts were even checked, nobody’s helmets were checked, no safety tips or videos were played or said. 3 out of 5 of the rides were broken. The bounce house in the kids area was not blown up. There was probably 4 employees in the whole building. None of the employees seemed to care at all. They also made multiple rude comments. All the floors were covered in crumbs and looks like they haven't been vacuumed in soo long. Me and my cousins kept getting weird whiffs of chlorine while we were playing air hockey, and i'm not sure why because nothing was clean, or being cleaned. After today, we will not be coming back.
Oscar Hernandez: N/a

Amazing Play Fun Center: what do users think?
steven martin: Great grandson's birthday PARTY.
Mrs. Consumer: Great hidden gem. Lots of fun things for the kids. Just ask that you replace the rock climbing wall with rocks that don't hurt your feet
يتيم الافراح: My kids love this placeMy kids love
Kathrine Daniels: Indoor bounce house! Inexpensive!
Cody Sutton: Great place to bring the kids. Fun little wooden town the kids can play in. A few bouncy houses and slides. Some arcade games and claw machines. Surprisingly good pizza too. Unfortunately the claw machines do not give refunds, if they eat your quarters.
Alicia Sustaita Ibarra: Would do most of the activities because parents are not allowed in the kids section to help their kids.
Diana Foster: Prices went up 😡 I come here all the time with my two kids and that was because of how affordable it was. Not really the case anymore. I can't believe they want over 15.00 for frozen pizza
Kristin Gonzales: Lost of fun for the kids.
Brandon Pedersen: Good place to take little ones who need to get some energy out. The large playground maze is super fun and there are a few different bounce houses as well. Pizza and other snacks are available too.
Matthew Johnson: We rented this venue for our daughter‘s birthday party. We got it for two hours in the evening and it was just us, our family, and friends. It was a ton of fun and everyone had a blast.
Delaney Craig: My nephew loves it. The workers were so nice as well. Fun place to take your young kids!
Veronica Bolton: We love, fun run my kids can be here for hours great price the food is pretty decent. The workers are super friendly and really nice I love throwing my kids birthday parties here to be done it a few times I highly recommend coming to this place. It’s one of our favorite places.
Jennifer Benda: Super impressed with the updated bounce houses, cleanliness, and staff supervision!! I noticed staff members walking around monitoring the kids activity and supervising the bounce houses themselves.
Maggie Harl: My 3 yo son has ASD, and we were originally worried with how he'd do with the bounce house fan sounds. While he wasn't a fan of those, there was SO much climbing equipment and a quiet back room for toddlers with a ball bit, that he had a blast! The workers were SO kind about our needs and asked regularly how he was doing! Their service was remarkable, everything was very reasonably priced, and we will definitely be coming back!
Alissa Fehr: My family and I are new to the area and my son is now 1.5. It's been cold and I wanted to take him somewhere since we've been inside for awhile. The place is more geared to slightly older kids, but I did find a 3 and under section and my son LOVED that. I have to give it a 4 star because the 3 under section didn't have a lot to offer. I'm still happy I found it though.
Vickie None ya: Closed at 7:00 P.M. on a Friday thought is was a little early however for the price the kids had fun for 45 minutes a little run down.
jusTodd: Fun place to let the kids romp awhile when the playground is too cold.
Arnie C (Sly): Kids love this place. They can run forever. If it's busy, it can be easy to lose sight of your child, but it's not a huge place so it doesn't take long to find them. Also, word of caution, there's a back door way out of the wooden western village, which leads to a bouncy room. Some times kids end up there. 3 year olds who are going full gear top speed may have difficulty navigating some of the play features, which means boo boos and tears.
Sayed Ismail: Excellent place for toddlers.
Lisa Tracy: This place was a good meet up spot for a play date with my 10 year old and her friend. The price was $14.00 for her to play. It was very warm inside so dress accordingly. It was a cool day when we went and my daughter wished she had worn shorts. Staff was nice. Facility was clean. For the price I can't justify coming regularly.
Angie G: Great place, always clean! Staff is kind and helpful!
