Carl Wilder: The family wanted Kansas City Chiefs gear since the won the Super Bowl. This place was ready. They were open until midnight after the big game. And they opened early for more fans. Great staff.
Holly Morris: There is multiple things to choose from. It's nice to see there's something for everyone. The prices like other places are a little high. Whether you need bows, guns, ammo, golf, shoes, Sports clothing, bicycles and more. This is a good place to go for a nice quality. It is clean and organized.

Megan Laffoon: I ordered my daughter volleyball shoes online and when we got them they were not in new condition. I took them up to this store and everyone there was so kind and helpful. They immediately looked and saw the shoes were clearly used and the Manager was very quick to remedy the situation for us. It was not the hassel I imagined it would be. T L: If you need it for a sport, this place has it. They've had everything we've needed for wrestling, football, soccer, and 5ks. We were even able to score a trampoline during the pandemic while all other stores were out of stock. It's a bit of a drive for us for but this is the place we know will have what we need when local stores do not.

Shout out to Marcia who was so kind in assisting me through the returns process today. The employees have been very friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs. Jack Graham: Love the ability to order online and then drive to the store, park in a designated spot, and have someone bring your items to you. They are very quick at it too. It is nice to have an alternative to Amazon, as Target pricing is very competitive, and oftentimes far lower than what I can find online.

Natty Howe: Store would not take back some ink pens
Andrew Hack: I actually enjoy this Walmart better than the one in blue springs the one in blue springs makes you feel like you're there too help them if you can get any of them to help you at all. And another thing how is it the same thing at a different location is 10 dollars higher at the one in blue springs ? These are the things that make you wonder same vendor Walmart is not individually owned but prices are different . But anyhow you get to be yourself here you don't have to act better then anyone else here .
Adrian Klein: Entire store smelled like body odor. Used the self check and the bags REEKED of BO. We had to hand wash everything we bought after coming home because it caused our entire purchase to smell. We're literally wondering if someone died on the truck that had the bags or maybe a super smelly person napped on the shipment of bags?? Either way, something's horribly stinky.

I am usually some what slower, but I just happened to get a check out next to an associate, just incase I froze up. She said it was due to people saying they want a job, but don't show up for work.Maybe Biden should give them more money for their being handycapped; laziness. 😪

And a Walmart at that.That's a big put off, I'll not be shopping at this location again. If there's an officer standing guard, it's obviously not a safe place to shop.

Jaz: Annoying lane 10 or 11 is the only register you can go to for tobacco and alcohol yet you have people bringing full carts and taking forever. Why not just make a lane ONLY for those products no one wants to wait 10+ minutes in line because there no limit and people don’t care about others needs!

Cheyanne Nelson: Came in to do a western union transfer. Gray haired woman was very rude and wouldn't do it even when I signed into the app. She ignored me and started checking out the next customer. I called her a b***** and told her to learn how to do her job. I do not feel bad she earned the name and should look for a different job
Dominique Allen: If I could give zero stars I would. There's hardly every anyone that works there in the store. They're always outside smoking who knows what with the area homeless. I don't know if the white lady with red hair is high on meth every time I go in or what but this store is a hot mess. There's absolutely no management going on. Time to clear house and start over.Skip over this Dollar General at all costs. There's one on every corner in Independence. You'll find a better one elsewhere.

They have what I need 99% of the time; if they don't I usually knew it was a long shot going in.They always have something on sale that I decide I need for some reason or other.Example: It's a great place to get planters. Which isn't to say they carry a lot of planters. They do not. 50% off mug? Drill a hole in it: now it's a planter. Plastic basket? Add some holes: now it's a planter! Serving tray? Now it's a repotting tray. You get the point. Their lack of planters doesn't mean it's not a great place to get planters.Also, cheap Gatorade. Summer is coming. Stay hydrated.
