Vanessa Meriwether: Disappointed! Just got an order of Voodoo wings delivered and got random scraps! So gross. Drove them back to the restaurant and spoke to the manager. When asked to remake the wings, she said I can’t guarantee they will be big so you might want to keep those. I just want wings, these are scraps. She didn’t even offer an apology. I will not be back, this place has gone downhill.

Kim Nguyen: This was our first time here. We had Lindsey as our server and she was amazing! She gave amazing recommendations and on top of that the food was awesome as well. We had the fried pickles, oysters on the half shell, Papa Vic’s Pasta, and the blacked chicken fettuccine. It was all great! The live music was awesome as well. I definitely will bring more friends to try this place and plan on coming back to try more of the foods!

The restaurant wasn't packed but the workers were super busy, super sweet and you can tell this is a well managed business! The food was excellent as well as the time spent. Definitely recommend!

Bob Sandidge: After spending a Sunday afternoon here you'll be back for more. Late night jazz club in the middle of the day. A trio that knows it's way around more tunes that you're likely to hear this lifetime. People who are gracious and friendly and moving to the music while they serve delightful drinks and, in this case, a fine steak and eggs breakfast. I'm in heaven and a heaven I would like to take back to a suburb of Chicago where I live. Were I living in the KC area this would be my regular hang. If you are visiting KC and enjoy great swingy jazz, you'll want to spend at least one dinner or brunch here. Maybe more. Anne Ward and I loved it and eager for the next visit. Oh, be sure to make a request.

Ron Braet: I couldn't disagree more with the other reviewer (and I have no personal affiliation with the place). I think Broadway Jazz Club is a fantastic music venue -- it feels to me like a much bigger version of the original Milton's on Main. And the food? If all they did was serve food with no live music, I would eat there regularly. Everything I've tried has been fantastic. I'm sad that the other reviewer had such a different experience, but I'll add that I've been several times now and it's always been consistently awesome!

Gwyneth Bowen: First time visiting The Blue Room for a show. This happened to be the 5 o'clock Friday night free jazz show. It was a real treat seeing (hearing) Lady D and her band! Great ambience, a wonderful mix of people in a really welcoming space. Had previously visited the museum, a "don't miss!" and was just as thrilled with this experience. Highly recommend!

Jel Mo: I cannot give the music and hospitality of 4/28/23 off my mind. I haven't been to a Jazz Venue in some time, and the Music had me crying inside over Why I ever left. The richness of the trio playing was absolutely transporting! I'm horrible with names, but I caught one singer's name, Chloe. Terrific. A while later a quartet played that was a total joy, especially in watching the good time that Trent (I think) had, playing that trumpet. The music - great, the house - great, and the people - Great! I WILL BE BACK to the Blue Room!

dylan werner: Upon entering the doors it was a friendly environment, however it was mostly down hill from there. I got the crawfish for an appetizer which had good spice. For the main entree I had gotten the crawfish poboy which had absolutely no flavor. Overall I was just disappointed in the quality. I vistited New Orleans in the summer of 2019. This has no comparison.

Carmelita Woods: First time at this location. Place it huge, there's a lot of shopping around it. Food was delicious. For 4 of us to eat it was $84 & that's including an appetizer so honestly priced perfect. My girls stayed safe & had hamburgers (one was supposed to be well-done but it was definitely mooing still) I had the crawdad poboy & my husband had the seafood fettuccine. Their hush puppies are my favorite from any restaurant. Can't wait to go when they have a band playing!

JaTonya Whitaker: Although the food here is delicious, this is the 2nd time I have come to this restaurant and after being seated, wasn’t greeted or asked for drinks/appetizers for over 30 minutes. I wanted to give them the benefit that it’s due to their business rush, however the first time they weren’t busy and this second time, I looked 2 waitresses directly in the eyes after watching them service the tables around me. Once I saw somebody get seated after me in the same location and serviced within their first 5 mins, I got up and left. I don’t understand why they struggle with knowing which waitress is responsible for which tables, but their confusion has cost them a customer.So like I said, the food is good, however l, proceed with caution when eating in.

Noneed Toknow: First and most impressive was out waiter Brian B, a distinguished and friendly man of color and i would guess 40s was our waiter. Well spoken and even though absurdly busy, we never felt rushed. He was on the spot even with a couple special requests. Perfectly courteous, and the kind of waiter you always hope for but rarely get. The food was excellent as we have come to expect from the legends jazz but what was hands down the best was his service!!!!
