Tom Kell: Food and service were excellent. There were three of us. Everyone liked their food. I had the kabob bowl. I really liked the meat and spices. The bowl was enough for me but I think I will add a side next time. Will definitely go back.
Alissa N: We tried the Independence Schwarmar location today. It was absolutely delicious! So fresh and full of flavor. We each got a Falafel Deluxe Bowl and split fries, hummus with pita, dolmas and Baklava. I can’t wait to come back and try the Schwarma Bowl!Vegetarian options: Everything we ordered today was vegetarian friendly.

Prat Kale: This place went from good to worst after pandemic. They used to serve salad with shwarma rice bowl which they don't anymore. Prices went up almost 20%-30% on every item. Quanty of bowl they served shwarma was considerably smaller size than they used to. Chicken was extemely dry. Rice tasted like Mexican rice instead of nice long grain fluffy mildly flavored rice. Falafel wrap was ok. Total disappointment.

The food was good for" fast food" Middle Eastern fare! Restaurant was clean and in good condition, just a bit lacking in ambiance.Vegetarian options: This would be a great location for a vegetarian! Many choices to choose from on the menu.

Shawarmar: what do users think?
L Cotton: I usually get tabouli and some kind of chicken shawarma. The only good, healthy option close to the community I live in. It's kinda pricey, but it's a specialty food, made fresh. I spend close to $25 for one person when I visit.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes Tabouli Salad, Spicy Garlic, Shawarma Rice Bowl …More

Prat Kale: This used to be my go to few years ago but this place went down hill drastically. Quantity has reduced significantly. I ordered chicken shwarma bowl and chicken was extremely dry and had no flavor. Rice was soggy and tasteless. Falafel wrap was ok. I don't think I will visit again.Food: 2/5|Service: 3/5Recommended dishes Falafel Wrap …More
bruce duncan: After I read the reviews I had low expectations. The service was very middle eastern. Good food isn't known for good service. The food is actually very good. But there pita is more...... like a flat taco shell. I was dissapointed with that. I got the chicken bowl. Chicken was a little dry, but the seasoning was right on. The rice. Reminded me of a Mexican restaurant trying to make good rice. The humis. Very good. Folks. Stick with the bowl. Not the wraps

lavanya padamati: We ordered chicken kebab rice, lamb kebab rice and chicken shawarma! We were so excited and ordered after checking the rating and reviews in the google. But personally I felt that food is not good and it is very cold, rice is not at all fresh and smelling bad. Please don’t visit if you are hungry or otherwise ask them to make it fresh. Thankyou
SYED KM: Almost after 3 decades I got the real taste of Saudi cuisine at this place, never tasted this anywhere in whole of US, specially the Kabobs, Chicken shawarmas and the toum , reminded the Al Baik chicken and toum, and what’s beyond this was the hospitality of the owner family Ibrahim, Abeer and family. Now I know I have a place to visit on all my trips to kansas form chicago…Another before I forget, every body should try the BAQHLAWA, Iam serious even if you are not a dessert guy, you should, it’s so delicious, uuuuhhhhhhhj😛, we were family of 5 and every one has the same viewVegetarian options: They do have a pure VEGAN OPTION TOO.Kid-friendliness: Huge open area in the middle for kids to run aroundParking: Easy parking and lots of space
Loren T. Walker: Parking: Terrible service at this restaurant to not be expected to be served with any term of quality if you're coming for the food the food is serviceable at best and you can leave it at that gates is across the streetWheelchair accessibility: None
Robert Riley: A great little place with a small, but delicious menu of wraps and bowls. Highly recommend the shish tawook wrap, and some falafel.
Lyric DeNoyer: I honestly hate being a hater but I’m still really let down by the service I received. My friends talked this place up SO highly and maybe that’s half the problem but they got my food wrong, weren’t very kind about it, hardly fixed the situation after making me wait FOREVER, and just yeah… the whole situation really turned me off. I’m sure if you eat meat you haven’t had a problem but they’re clearly less than mindful of vegetarians. I personally, would just recommend Jerusalem cafe. This just isn’t worth the disappointment. I won’t be back.Vegetarian options: Hardly. They put chicken all over my food. Just go to the Jerusalem cafe.
mustafa syed: Recommended dishes WrapMore
Ciera Duban: I always get the falafel wrap and it is always 10/10. Great balance of crispy falafel, fresh tomato, and cool taziki. I recently tried their hummus and pita and it is also great. I forget that a well made hummus tastes 1000x better than what you can get at the store.

Mark Gracidas - Setting the Captives Free Ministry: I really don’t like give bad ratings but the food was not as good as expected. It tasted as if it was microwaved, and my fries were soggy. Had high hopes but they were quite not there. Maybe because I ordered at 7:30pm and I need to go check it out earlier?Recommended dishes Wrap, Shawarma Wrap, Fries …More
