Chreshae Hairlson: I ordered Lamb curry, garlic naan, chicken samosa, and mango drink.The curry was really good and flavorful had a nice spice to it. Very filling was able to finish half of the curry and rice 9.4/10 , the naan 10/10 was delicious and paired perfectly with the curry. The samosas 3.1/10!weren't to good in my opinion. The mango drink 9.6/10 is really good the texture caught me by surprise (similar to a smoothie texture) but once I got past that it was really good and refreshing especially after the spicy curry.

My family enjoys the basics like butter and chicken masala but we’ve ventured to curries, vindaloo and paneers that are delish as well. Worth the 30 minute drive!

intag03: Amazing food and the most amazing family I’ve ever interacted with. My tire went completely flat as I pulled into the parking lot and I couldn’t drive on it. They drove me home that night and offered to help put a spare on the next day to help get me to discount tire. The family didn’t even know me before last night and I’m speechless with the generosity they’ve shown me. Will be a lifelong happy customer 😃.

Christopher Lincoln: Yesterday was my first time coming here. The food is excellent, I highly recommend if you really want real authentic Indian/Middle Eastern food. They have a wide selection of choices and the portions they give you are huge. It's very favorable and filling. The customer service was very welcoming the guest representative actually assisted me on my choices. I certainly will be back. I might be back tomorrow that's how good the food is here.
Jennifer Kallias: Wonderful food for a very reasonable price in a no-frills setting. The curries were spicy enough but not overwhelming so and had tons of flavor. Rice was especially good! The gentleman (owner?) serving us was very friendly. Nicely sized dining room for eating on site or very convenient for grab-and-go. alyssa: Been here so many times and every time the people are so incredibly nice and friendly, I always leave with a warm fuzzy feeling. Food is amazing as well, I brought my mom here and she said the food was "so good I can't explain." They also have a good amount of vegan and vegetarian options and are super accommodating. 11/10 would recommend this place to everyone. ❤️

And, you can stock up on spices for your own kitchen while you're here.Update: I just tried their mint tea for the first time and it's insanely good! I have receipts where eye have paid different prices depending on how she (the owner) feels. The most authentic is the son. However, this season was my last season going and I've been going over 5 years. The chick peas in the hummus lost you a for life customer. I'll make sure to share my experience with all my coworkers whom I've turned onto hummus and definitely will STOP my family from going.
Pet Pals KC: We love to drop in and grab the pita pockets!! They’re an incredible version of a homemade Hot Pocket and we are obsessed!! We grab a couple at once and take them home to eat during the week. Sooo so good!! Everything else is super fun and they have an amazing selection of spices! The service is also amazing and the staff are all so nice!!! So glad they’re in the City Market!

Everything was really good, the flavors were on point and the lamb was incredibly tender. However, I would’ve had more garlic/seasoning on the naan and the pakoras were wrapped in plastic wrap and got steamed which was a bummer. Over all I would 100% recommend this place and will be back.

Brenna Base: I’ve been here so many times. I usually get the butter chicken or the bhindi masala and it is ALWAYS perfect. I recently had the same dishes at another restaurant and the whole time i was thinking about how much better India Palace is. I seriously can not recommend this place enough. From the amazing service to the reliably delicious food, this place is perfect!
Hope Harms: Warm and flavorful dishes with lots of vegetarian options! (An abundance of carnivorous dishes too.) Sometimes I miss the buffet, but I really enjoy getting to try a wider breadth of the menu, prepared to order, and usually plenty for leftovers later. The chai tea is still complimentary and self-serve (at least at lunchtime), a nice sweet treat.Vegetarian options: There's a whole vegetarian section of the menu, plus a few additional items in the appetizers and such. Much harder to go vegan, be sure to ask the staff about options.

I can’t get poetic about food right now because I ate too much. Just trust me. Get Chicken Korma with whatever naan you like and you’ll understand what I mean when I say DELICIOUS. J Powers: We were in town visiting friends, and they recommended Kurry Leaves for dinner.There was a short wait on Saturday evening, but not overly long. Once seated, they brought bottled water and took our drink order. When they brought back our drinks they took our dinner order. The food came out quick and hot.Everything we ordered was excellent. The spicyness was perfect, the lamb and chicken dishes were both cooked to perfection with the right amount of spices.We will stop in again when we get back to Overland Park, KS.

Fatima: If you want to experience an owner watching you while you eat and then confronting you in order to tell you to not to leave any food on your plate, then this is the perfect restaurant for you. Every plate the waiter picked up was inspected by the owner. If someone is leaving an excessive amount of food then maybe i would understand but this was just ridiculous and unnecessary. The owner needs to take a class on hospitality and customer services. The buffet service should be cancelled if he is not able to provide this service, decently, to his customers.The mango lassi was complementary but it was watery and tasted bland. The milk of the rice pudding smelled, which was unfortunate, since this was the only dessert offered.Pros- I liked the vegetable mushroom sauce and biryani rice. My sister said the chickpea sauce was good. The waiter was kind and prompt. And we had a good time telling everyone the unbelievable and comical experience we had there.

Restaurants like this spoils the name of Indian restaurants over all. Place smelled foul start from the entrance. Highly recommended to keep off unless there is drastic change to the ambience and food quality.

Terry Irwin: Didn't know if I would even like Indian food. Tried the chicken Masala and it was really good. Portions were generous. I was stuffed when I left. Good vegetarian options here too, with a significant portion of the menu devoted to them. Clean restrooms, ample parking. Place was very clean, didn't smell funny, and the wait staff was so incredibly polite. This place does not disappoint.
Dan Lady: If you are looking for some of the best Indian food in the KC area; this is the place! They have options for pretty much everyone including different proteins, vegetarian options and halal. While I love bbq, burgers and anything else meat based, I always order from their vegetarian menu. Some of their best dishes include garbanzo beans and paneer cheese. BUT, if you are new to Indian food you can always try the butter chicken. Definitely try the mango lassi and make sure to get naan....and Chai tea.

I have a gluten intolerance and when I asked the server about it, he checked with someone else and made sure it was safe. Then they brought out freshly made gluten free naan! Shanelle Elise: Visited here last night and was blown away. The butter chicken which I requested it to be spicy actually had a good amount of heat to it, when other Indian restaurants seem to be scared to go past certain spice levels. The garlic naan was nice and chewy with some char spots on the ends of it, tasted like it was fresh baked to order. Last but not least, the mango lassi was AMAZING! Nice and sweet with the mango flavor very strong. I would go back just to get the lassi drink. Next time, I’ll probably try the chicken korma or vindaloo with the samosas. Love this place!
Danielle Hodgins: Terrible service. We came 40 minutes before close and they told us the kitchen was closing in 5 minutes. Which on its own is fine but doesn’t make sense considering they do carry out until 10. Whatever. We order all of our food and it came out very fast. The server had said she never tried any of the food so she couldn’t give any recommendations. 20 minutes until close after we had maybe been eating for 5 minutes they start taking plates and bringing boxes and so we told them to go ahead and bring the checks. We were still eating so we put our boxes to the side until we were ready for them but the workers kept coming and staring at us with their arms crosses. It was EXTREMELY awkward. Mind you we still had 15 minutes to close and they hadn’t even brought the check yet. They bring the check which we said to put all on one. As we are looking at the check to figure out who pays how much TWO servers came at the table and just stared at us even though we were obviously still counting our cash and they check had been down for approximately 30 seconds. I asked the server to please give us a moment because its very awkward to see someone watching us while we all have our money out. They reluctantly walked away. And then they took the cash did not even ask us if we wanted change. And said have a good night. They then stared at us as we walked out. KEEP IN MIND THE RESTAURANT STILL WASN’T EVEN CLOSED. They then immediately locked the doors as we stepped out and then they stared at us while we got into our cars. And watched us until we drove away. Heres a suggestion for the owner. If you don’t want people coming in during the last 40 minutes maybe consider closing earlier instead of making the customers feel extremely unwelcome and uncomfortable. Worst part is the food was pretty tasty. Its a shame I will never be giving them another penny.

The first impression on entering the restaurant was quite Impressive.The staff was friendly though I felt as the waiter was little nervous and inexperienced but still he served well. We ordered a couple of chat platers and chicken karhai and a bbq platter. Everything was okayyy in taste … i would rank 3.5/5. Though the presentation was really nice. Chicken karhai was more loose curry … it should be more dry and juicy, bbq was better but as i said, over all taste was okayy. Last but not the least… price wise it was that expensive at all.Overall i would rank this place with 4 stars.

arlene88 alonzo: This is the place if you want spicy Indian cuisine. Their biryani version is the best so far I ever tasted. It is so flavorful with the combination of herb and spices and a little kick ( we ordered mild). The Chai tea is really good.
