Marcus Pratt: The for sale box of ammunition I wanted to purchase was not marked with the price, forcing me to buy a more expensive box that I really could not afford. It was only after I purchased my ammunition that a salesman put the correct price on the ammunition. When I brought this to their attention, they inform me that I would have to go up to the refund counter and go through the whole process of getting a refund and then purchasing the ammunition that was on sale! I felt that they could have easily avoided this by simply advising me of the sales price in the first place. Normally I have very good purchasing experiences with Bass pro, but this time I was a little inconvenienced with the purchase in this particular case.

Michael Woodard: Put a lot of trust in Dons advice. Really steered us down the wrong path for the fishing tournament. Out of hundreds of dollars in possibly the worst bass lures ever recommended. The fish absolutely hated the color schemes that don swore by. Kinda thinking he just made it all up.

The women's clothing section doesn't offer any real attire fit for doing any serious hiking yet the men's section does. I went to try on hiking boots and Bass Pro apparently does not cater to wide sized feet. Bass Pro definitely needs to step up their game.

Tim Smith: Check out was very slow. There was only one person ahead of me and it took 10 minutes to get through the line. The cashier seemed very interested in chatting with the lady ahead of me. The customer service area had 2 people standing around doing nothing. I understand customer service representatives are not allowed to take customers money for purchase. The credit card reader is an older slower version that keeps popping up messages to leave your card in the reader. These machines need to be updated.

My son and I visited the other day and he loves to see the animals. The store is always clean and well organized and the animals are obviously well taken care of! I just wish the restaurant was still open. The food was great and again, great memories there! Hopefully it comes back in the future!

David Bagley: Matt is the man! Knowledgeable about every aspect of fly fishing/fly tying. He will suggest different materials to tie a fly with the same results catching fish. You need something, he will order it for you. Interested in vintage fly rods/reels he always has amazing things from time to time. Looking for something, let him know and he will call you if he gets it in the store. Bass Pro may have a bigger selection of product, but they no longer have a human in their shop to help you. Matt is always available to help!

Ryan Miloshewski: Probably one of the worst fly shops I’ve been to in the country, and I’ve been to a lot. Bare supply walls, bad selection, and no hello or “how can I help you?” Stocking supplies shouldn’t be an issue. Any other shop in the area is loaded to the gills. I’m sad I drove the 20 min to check it out. I won’t be back.

We were even able to score a trampoline during the pandemic while all other stores were out of stock. It's a bit of a drive for us for but this is the place we know will have what we need when local stores do not.

Jim has always gotten me what I was looking for , he either had it in stock or he was able to order it. His prices are the best I have found anywhere,I don't even bother going to other shops . John Gilliland: If you want to do business with a place that deceives it’s customers and charges astronomical prices then this place is for you. I called inquiring about a Benchmade knife they had online. I wanted to make sure it was new and see if they could do better on price. He located the knife in the store and he advised it was new and he couldn’t do anything on price due to Benchmade supply issues at the moment. I said that was fine and if I decided would purchase the knife online. Not two minutes passed after I got off the phone and decided on the knife. As I went to checkout, I realized the knife was no longer available online. I thought this was odd as he just had the knife in hand when I was speaking to him over the phone. When I called back, he said he didn’t know who bought the knife and someone must have bought it online. This seemed fishy to me. I also noticed checkout for all other knives was disabled online as well. He supposedly had no idea what I was talking about. I left it at that. I went back on the website 10 minutes later and saw exactly what he did. He disabled checkout and raised the prices to all of his BM inventory by 15%-25% and some over MSRP. I guess he thought his already high prices weren’t high enough. Had I not called in, I would have been able to buy the knife online at stated price and the next guy wanting a BM knife would have also been able to do so at his then listed prices. Seems like this guy cares more about the hustle, no matter at what cost, than ethical business practices. Stay away!

KansasCity Stroller: I have been in this gun shop several times just browsing. The warmness of the employees depends on the day. I have been welcomed as soon as I have walked in the door. I have also been ignored completely.They have a great selection of new and used guns. just one problem. The man who owns the places prices the used guns within reach of the new guns.Before the pandemic, I even tried to ask him about coming down on a FNH FNX9 that he had priced about 50 bucks under new, and he stated that was what he paid for it.If he paid that much, then he lacks common sense. after making a reasonable offer, I decided to try my luck elsewhere and wouldn't you know that a gun shop in Liberty saved the day with the same mode new and only 5 dollars more than what the used gun was going for in this shop.This is a great gun shop to go to and see a model that you might not find,However I highly suggest looking somewhere else. Unless paying high prices is your fetish.
