Independence Square Town Houses: what do users think?
Paul Schweedler: Lived there 5 years. When we signed the initial lease, they told us that we could easily make our purchase price back when we moved out. We ended up losing about half of our initial investment. The current manager does not care for the residents. Poor communication. Poor leadership.Avoid at all costs
Jane Ross: My husband I used to live there. It was in 1986. We loved that townhouse for 2 or 3 years. Until he was in federal work until he got the letter to notify my husband job transfer.
Daniel Valerio: Safe place good for kids great neighborhood nice apartments
Gracie: I have lived at Independence Square Townhouses 2 different times for a total of 10 years. They have an amazing staff, SUPER affordable carrying charges, and has given me lifelong friendships made with awesome neighbors who look out for eachother!
Avishka Priyashan: Great place. Good and beautiful environment
Heather Guilliams: Good on history
Jeffrey Corbett Jr: I have been here for eight years now, the place just keeps getting worse. Please make sure that you do your research before moving here. The carrying charges go up at least $15.00 yearly. The maintenance department is very slow, not because of the guys working, but because of the manager Mike, who promises you every thing you want to hear, but he doesn't write it down and then forgets about it. The are very good at getting you to come here to live, but neglect the people who have lived here in order to accomplish it. Don't even try calling there cooperate office, because they will just blow you off. Think long and hard, do your research before moving here.
Caleb Etter: Love coming here
Jeff Shaw: Had to leave a year ago as I was evicted, have not missed it sense... they'll say about anything to get you in, (do research first) the maintenance is slow, and not very professional
Junior Montero: Safe place for rent apartment!
Mike Rice: Center of the Square, and an awesome landmark.
Christopher Weavers: Nice place to live

Highleah Town Houses: what do users think?
Ken Byrd: Very nice place to live. It's quiet and clean
brian easterla: My mother has lived there for over 40 years. They have always taken care of her. Very clean and well maintained
Chad Southerly: Worst place I ever lived. So bad that I still feel the need to leave a review 5 years later. My wife and I lived there from 2015-2017 on Dover Fork. They lure you in with promises of lower rent and the ability to sell for higher than you buy in. In reality, they'll nickel and dime you with bogus pet fees and other needlessly strict rules. Don’t like it? You can try to bring it up in a board meeting but be prepare to be threatened by their lawyer. The head of maintenance, Kevin (I think), was an amazing person but his staff was worthless. Once, our AC went out over the weekend when it was 104 degrees. The on-call maintenance worker, who was clearly at a BBQ from the background noise, only said the temperature was 90 (a blatant lie) so he wasn’t required to do anything and then hung up on me without another word. I know it sucks to have your weekend interrupted, but it’s your job. Do it.Crime definitely exists. I remember the bulletin put out because some young men were knocking on doors and trying to force their way in when the resident answered the door. But the crowning jewel was the drive by shooting that happened in broad daylight on our street. The guy lived 20ft from us and survived but refused to file a report or cooperate with the police. I have no evidence of anything because I didn’t know him personally, but it’s hard to not assume it was drug related. I'm not sure if Highleah ever even acknowledged the incident since there was no police report. We personally never heard anything from them and would have never known if we hadn't witnessed it.Don’t move here. It’s not worth it financially. It’s not safe. They won’t take care of you.
Edward Daly (Skippy): Nice place to live.
HardcoreLuxray: It was fine. No problems.
Emmanuel Dorn: Wish more places did a Co-op like this.
Jamie LeRette: Walls are too thin. You can hear your neihhbors
Lawrence Leek: Quiet area, limited parking.
D Speezy: Clean and well maintained
Christian May: Horrible rules and management, they make sure you don't get any of your money back if you try to move out.. lived there for 6yrs and the basement constantly flooded, didnt fix it until I moved out the extra month after 90days of moving out.. Rent goes up every year about $15 to $20. Get fined for dog poop, the first fine is $100. Have had plenty of broken in cars there so make sure you lock your doors. Their security is horrible also.. A handful of people have passed away in those townhouses, more of the ones closer to up front and the office.
Jessica Selder: i do not recommend this community to anyone who minds their own business. very weird rules, practically zero freedom in your own yard, high prices for outdated appliances, high prices for old severely chipped rusty paint playgrounds. Lots of old cop calling complaining women about children playing outside, false accusations. overall a very weird community
David anway: We have lived at Highleah for 3 years now and we love it! The staff is great and they respond to calls within 1 hour!
Kim Thompson: The walls are very thin you hear more than just a dog. Rules are absurd and they make sure every penny is spent so we never got a kick back. Rent or is it carry charges are going up and up all the time. If they cared more for their people than the lawn service w might get somewhere oh did you know Missouri has rock storms. I've been here 55 yrs and never seem a one. Very strick, like for one no power tools lol things outside like fence only so high but watch out for the weeds and their friends get away with it. Was a good place long ago, not so much now.
Linda Hager: I have lived here around 28 years!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kyle Hack: A comfortable and secure place to live, close to early schooling, and surrounded by local stores, and laundrymats. After 12 years, no complaints. Private parking, play grounds and miles of sidewalks. Emergency maintenance performed within reason, sceduled apt upkeep is done when scheduled.. I live here and happily have no reason to move..The handrails and the office provide accomidations for those with disabilities, and are willing to make helpful changes to assist the disabled.. If you check the reviews, only those that couldn't afford Highleah or live up to highleah standards choose to complain..
Kathy Painter: i have lived here for almost 8 yrs it was hard working money into this townhouse i like my place but rules had changes but i m not please with neigbors carying on partying loud music every time. the walls are very thin u hear neigbors dogs barking all the time very creepy
Mary Begulia: awful place...is scam they make u buy in... walls are paperthin could hear my neighbors snore and then they kick me out for my kids being too loud.... kept my buy in money w three kids one of which is a special needs kicked me out mid january three kids...please dont give this place your hard earned money they have there own set of lawyers to do this kinda stuff to people ...awful awful awful
Tiff S: Rudest company ever! Would never rent from them!

Village Cooperative of Lee's Summit: what do users think?
Devon County: My mother and father got sick, I came out to help them for a week. Let me tell you I have never been so welcomed in a place before this. Everyone from the management to the residents of this fine building asked about my parents, and offered every kind of support. The building is immaculate and very beautiful. My hope is this review will help people know just how fine this co-op is. My thanks and gratitude to everyone there! I would highly recommend this place to live for the older community.
Carol Calton: I have live here for nearly 4 years. It is more than an apartment building it is a community that cares almost like family. We watch out for each other.
Cindy Rogers: Very nice an clean retirement home 62 and over a belief must be active to live here they have a ground parkingCrystal car wash residents are really really nice and the lady that runs it she's awesome
Deenie Hillman (Dee): This is my home.
