April Parker: I've been filling prescriptions here for going on 6 years and I have watched the quality of customer service go down hill. Some of the people who work in the pharmacy are rude. Depending on who is working, they don't follow through on filling your prescription on time. I always see a new face at the window with a different attitude. No one in the pharmacy is pleasant anymore. No compassion or empathy. The woman working the drive thru wasn't helpful at all! If you don't I babysit them, you will not get your medicine on time. I guess I will find another pharmacy.
Beautiful Queen: This is the best CVS. They always contact the doctors to get your prescription filled. They always make sure that you are well taken care of. I give them 5+ stars.

Jason P: Surprised about the negative reviews. I left the CVS at 1315 W 23rd Street because their pharmacy was always an hour long wait even if you were next in line and they never answer the phone. This CVS is just better; it's bigger, things are spaced out more. It's cleaner. The people are more friendly. Just everything about it is better. Switched my pharmacy here and hoping the good luck continues..pharmacies are a PAIN right now.

Alyssa Graves: I got the Covid rapid test done on 12/29/2021 and I got told I would know the results in 30 minutes. Hours went by and I still didn’t receive my results, so I called and I got told I was positive but on my chart it didn’t show that and I also needed proof for my job. On my chart, It just showed my appointment and the time. So, I checked on my chart again today and it showed I missed my appointment. So, I called the minute clinic and the lady basically said she has no idea what is going on and why it shows that on my chart. Then, she began telling me it could take up to 24 hours to get my test results. (But it was a rapid, so that doesn’t make any sense) So, all they could do is retest me (which there is no availability). So moral of the story is, THEY DON’T KNOW WHAT THEY DID WITH MY TEST OR WHO THEY GAVE MY RESULTS TO☺️
Patrick Welch: The store as a whole is okay, a little understaffed, and they seem to have a high turnover rate. I’m real problem, and the reason I gave them one star is that pharmacy. My mother get a prescription there and they have is. I have since transferred that prescription elsewhere. Just tonight, my mom wanted me to pick up her prescriptions for her that she had ordered a couple hours prior. The pharmacist tells me that they’re not ready yet and that they might be ready later tonight or tomorrow. I asked if he could expedite since I was already there, in a condescending tone, he just repeated, later tonight or tomorrow. I could almost understand this if it had been busy, but it was completely dead that night.when people are depending on you to provide life saving medicines I’d expect a little more tact.
Francie Graham: I went to pick up my prescription and asked for children’s Tylenol with my order just because I saw a sign hanging by the pharmacy window saying now sold at drive thru and listed under it is children’s Tylenol. It would of been convenient to have both. The lady at drive thru said she couldn’t leave the pharmacy to get children’s Tylenol

I told her my sons name and she said the only one she had was one and I said what about the other one and she said she didn’t have anything so I had to call the doctor to fax over there again and she said she told me and I said no you didn’t . I told her that it wasn’t unde insurance

They not only are not helpful at all, they never answer their phone either. That goes for the front of the store and the pharmacy. This store seems extremely incompetent... I'll be switching again.

Mark Lyon: The store has always been more customer friendly than any of the others. We tried the one on the corner of Lee's summit and 23rd. That would be the East 23rd Street store and it was terrible way overcrowded. People are so overworked, they're angry. Especially one of the older women who works the window at the drive-in. I think she needs a vacation. It's for that reason that we went back to the West 23rd CVS location and from what I hear now CVS is thinking of closing that one down. From what I understand it's because they want to get these giant health hubs now instead of the old customer friendly drugstore where you can pick up prescriptions with a smile. Does CVS closest this location down you're losing one of the best locations ever for customer service. Kudos to the entire staff who works there. I hope you're not next on The chopping block....

corzet hall: I had the most AMAZING experience at this Walgreens today. Life can get very busy and it’s important to stop and really thank people for wonderful and awesome customer experience. Mr. Karmen was soooooo very polite, respectful, patient and kind. He’s a Pharmacist at this location. He helped me get all my prescription’s set up on auto refill which will help me a lot because I take several. He pulled me to the side and took the time to patiently go over my entire list and for that, I’m TRULY GRATEFUL!!! Mr. Karmen, I pray you see this review and your Supervisor. It is important for individuals to know when they’ve made a difference in the life of someone else. And that is EXACTLY what you done for me today! I pray the LORD will continue to give you a wonderful and compassionate heart as you a truly making a difference. Thank you again for a job well done. I give you 10 STARS!!!!! Love Mrs. Hall

Mac Thomas: They have customer service, if you have the time to wait for it. Even using the Express Delivery option, online, which gives you a number to call with any questions; I was just transferred to the store, with my question. So far, I have been on hold now for 20 minutes. 3 callers ahead of me, 2 callers ahead of me...still waiting. I would go there directly, but I am long distance, attempting to keep my mother's medications filled in the store's area.
Erin Binney: Got calendars for Christmas, supposed to be ready last night. Came in Christmas Eve to pick them up. Order not done. The pictures printed wrong last night, never got a phone call about this yesterday so we could remedy the situation. Stuff happens but if your equipment breaks you are obligated to call the customers so they can go elsewhere for other alternatives. It shouldn’t be on me coming in 12 hours later and finding out nothing has been done. Don’t guarantee same day pick up if you can’t follow through.
Jenny Maupin: This store was awful. It took me forever to find someone to help me. When I finally did, she was short with me. Wouldn't look at me. Too busy typing. Sighed because I guess I bothered her. Was there to get several items. Left and went across the street to CVS. I recommend you do the same.

I understand policies change, however, you’re job is to serve your customers, and when a 72 year old man needs his medication refilled, and I call for him because he is my father and is deaf and cannot hear over the phone, and you refuse to refill his medications instead of finding a solution-you should probably find a new profession. The lack of empathy or compassion here-or better yet DOING YOUR JOB-is ridiculous. I will no longer recommend this pharmacy to anyone and will be filing a complaint with state board of pharmacy.

Didn't receive vaccine because I had to leave due to scheduling conflict. I figured when I made the appointment at Walgreens that I would have plenty of time to receive vaccine and wait the 15 minutes after. Plenty of people standing around behind the counter, clearly with nothing to do. Very disappointing and the worst customer service.

jcott: A few years ago I left a review that was scathing at best. I'm so impressed and pleased to say this location has really turned it around! Everyone staffed is knowledgeable, kind, and they want to do well. They process orders quicker and do what they can to keep the line moving. In an effort to keep the drive thru moving as intended, I would like to see a little backbone and have people required to come in if there are issue with the script. Great work upping your customer service game! I'll be a repeat customer for hopefully many more years!

Christopher Gunja: I’ve lived in multiple cities and used multiple Walgreens but this is, by far, the worst pharmacy I’ve ever experienced. They lied to my pregnant girlfriend about not having refills for her prenatal vitamins and then said they sent a request to her doctor. They didn’t send the request and there is refills left on her rx. I don’t know why they’re like this but they seem to go out of their way to make the process harder than it has to be. I hope they close down this pharmacy. It’s just a waste of space and a trick for anyone who’s used them. Just use CVS up the road.
Sara LaMastres: If you enjoy being in line for your medications for 30+ minutes, then this is the pharmacy for you! Don't try to call them either. They also take way too long to fill medications, especially if they need to approve your refill with your doctor. I've now been without one of my meds for a week and am having very bad withdrawal symptoms, to the point I had to call an ambulance. Absolutely ridiculous. I've called my doctor and this Walgreens still hasn't even started to fill my medication. DO NOT GO HERE.

Jackske: Don't do pharmacy here. They'll ignore it until you call. And even then, they only give your Dr 2 days to respond while they had 2 weeks. Now I'm 3 weeks in without medication because 2 days was too long to wait for them (even though, like I said, they had 2 weeks) so now I have to suffer because of their negligence. Dawn BurnettFerguson: Dropped off Rx for 8mo old grandson a little before 2pm. The pharmacist wouldnt even take the prescription until they came back from lunch. A 8 month old that has a sinus infection and a slight ear infection. They said would be done at 5:30 that eve. At 6:30 they still did not have them done. So the baby has to wait until they open up this morning So unprofessional!!
Nick Restivo: Not sure what the problem is with this location but it's very difficult to get any assistance. Placed a refill for a prescription on Friday. It is now the following Wednesday and it is still not ready. I have tried calling multiple times. The first time I was on hold on for 14 minutes before I had to hangup. I am currently on hold right now as I write this review and have been on hold for 28 min now. I've also tried the drive though where I waited 40 minutes to get within two spots of the window before I had to leave. I would avoid this location if possible.
Marie Verren: My last several prescriptions have DEFINITELY not been readied in a timely manner. The latest is an example: Saw the doctor mid-afternoon on Monday and an order was placed for a tube of medicine to heal a wound. This is Wednesday and the pharmacy still hasn't had a chance to "prepare" the 'script. Count to ONE, slap on a label, you're done, right? Why the delay? Again. The last prescription was equally complicated: count to One. I am not a happy customer. I do understand I'm not the only person waiting for a prescription, but 2+ days?! Does Walgreens in general, or this store in particular, need to get extra help hired? Or authorize overtime?

Caroline Milam: I have used Walgreens for my prescriptions for over 20 years. Since I moved to this area I switched to this location. Dissapointing is an understatement. Every time I come to pick up my medication there is a problem, and it's never their fault. I've even contacted corporate, but nothing has changed. They just cannot get their act together. Do youself a favor and use the one on 23rd and Lee's Summit. I used them for five years prior to making the mistake to switch to this location. I'm so put off by this store that I will most likely try an alltogether different company. Store staff is great though, and the store is nice and clean, and well stocked.

This type if business causes illnesses and disease to spread because everyone who is sick must come in and handle their business in person. I wonder if Pharmacist Joe exudes your Walgreens mission statement. I wonder if Pharmacist Joe is the face of Walgreens tasked with assisting the precious Walgreens patients. I wonder if Pharmacist Joe only responds to a certain demographic that Walgreens has advised him to shun. Does Pharmacist Joe ignore patients in his presence with scheduled appointments as a general Walgreens rule? Has Pharmacist Joe been granted authority by Walgreens to not administer vaccines in a timely manner for scheduled visits when you're the only patient waiting? Perhaps Pharmacist Joe is allowed to be selective in his assistance by Walgreens? I wonder if Pharmacist Joe is granted authority by Walgreens to surreptitiously shun patients with no explanation or regard for the scheduled appointment and the patients time. These must be the reasons for:A 715pm appointment and I'm leaving at 747pm with no booster administered. We are still being ignored by Pharmacist Joe. He is pictured. Diana Aguilar: The pharmacy is overworked and understaffed. Expect to wait hours for your prescription and it still not be ready. The tech is literally filling up amoxicillin right now after I waited in line. There seems to be a lot of running around and no real progress.
Joe Hoover: Just awful! I live on the road and use several different Walgreens pharmacies around the country. The differences from region to region are huge. The few people working at this one are very helpful, caring, and professional, but waaayy understaffed. It's a serious management problem.GO ACROSS THE STREET TO THE CVS!This is actually one of the best CVS locations. So just go there and forget about this Walgreens.
Renee Barker: I would give this pharmacy a 0 if it would let me choose that on the ratings. This is the absolute worst pharmacy I have ever gone to in my life! I have literally called to get the price of my medication knowing that I'm on the last day of my medication and I've got to have it now, I get there and pick up my medication and it's $85 more than what they told me on the phone! The next time I go there I go to get my husband some Sudafed for his allergies and I specifically ask for Sudafed she gives me a generic Box and staples the bag closed so I don't see until I get home that it's the generic which doesn't work on my husband. I tried to take it back to the store and exchange an unopened package, And they refused To let me exchange it because it had left the store. Then they refused to let me buy the correct stuff because supposedly I had exceeded my maximum. Then today I Call to have them print out a prescription list for me and and I waited on hold for an hour and during that hour long hold they picked up the phone and put me back on hold 16 times!! So zi went up there. When I arrived they refused to give me the prescription list without an ID. If somebody would have taken 30 seconds to answer the phone and tell me I would have needed that, I would've had it when I arrived and saved the $12 in gas I spent driving out there twice! Again this is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with And that is every single time ideal with them. Their excuse for not bothering to answer the phone was that they were short staffed today. There were 5 people behind the counter! The CVS that I go to has 2 people in there on a Sunday and they still answer the phone! You may have to wait 15 minutes but they make sure to handle it!
