Linda W (Chihuahuamom): I bought a custom measured beaded formal by mail so it was quite wrinkled after being shipped in a small box. I took it to Old Town to be pressed ...the finish was amazing and brought out the true potential of the gown. Was on a nice shaped hanger and bagged...and they had it ready a day early. This was my first time to use this business. There was no smell of cleaning fluids or mal-odor when I stepped in the door. The man who waited on me was very pleasant. Based on this experience I will be sure to return.
John Palmer: A JOKE!!!! Asked for 1 hour service, they agreed and confirmed. Named their price, I agreed and confirmed. Said I would be there in 30 minutes and they decided they wouldn't do it. Bad business....bad business
Jack Whalen: Wasted 15 bucks. Said they could take out coffee stain out of my jacket. I don't think they did much of anything. There were some grease stains still on the jacket that a dry cleaner should of handled easily. The gentleman behind the counter said he didn't want to put the time into cleaning it by hand. What? Don't you have a machine? Mislead from the start. Tried to say it wasn't coffee. Then said coffee doesn't come out after a month. I'm not returning. Hopefully this review will cost him some business. No refund was given.

Fast forward, they moved to this location on Sterling.I really can’t say enough good things about Claire. Her alterations are impeccable. She takes a lot of pride in her work and it shows. She restructured this blouse and now it fits like it was custom made just for me😄. I recently lost a little weight and the shorts were looking real sad. After taking a couple of measurements Claire had them fitting better than when I bought them.She takes her time and makes sure everything is perfect ❣️I can’t praise her enough.

Premier Auto Plaza: This customer came our business searching for a vehicle on 3-4 different occasions, he wanted us to discount a $6,000 mini van 40%, which was well below market value. How much profit can you make on a 6g vehicle ? On the other hand since we are blocks away from his business I decided to drop clothes off on several occasions, once they lost my clothes and I had to go back two different times before they found them. THEY NEVER HAVE CHANGE IF YOU GIVE THEM A LARGE BILL. How in the world can you accommodate customers if you don't have CHANGE. So, on 2 different occasions i had to go make change myself ? What an inconvenience to your customers. I asked for a discount on my cleaning bill for the troubles. The owner told me no ! I told him if he didn't make any concession for my troubles I would never come back. His response was DON'T COME BACK ! A $5 -10 DISCOUNT IS A WHOLE LOT LESS THAN A 40% DISCOUNT. Terrible customer service AND I didn't think the overall cleaning job was the best. I hope he doesn't treat everyone of a different descent that way he treated me - GOOD LUCK IF YOU GO THERE

I took it to her ( the owner )two weeks before the occasion and when we went to pick it up a week after, it didn't fit! She said okay let me fix it again and I'll call you the following week ( one day before the occasion) and it will be fixed. Okay, day before the occasion and here we are unable to unzip the damn dress!!! The zipper is not the original zipper that was on the dress when we bought it. Now I'm out $80.00 bucks and a freaking dress for my wife.. Unbelivable!! Watch out!!
Jack Moran, DC: After 7-8 years of impeccable service from Star Cleaners in Shawnee Mission, KS, I moved to Independence MO about 3 years ago At first, I continued, commuting to Star cleaners. I experimented with some local cleaners, a couple shirts here a couple there, but to no satisfaction.After about a year, I discovered A&M Cleaners on 23rd Street in Independence. I gradually brought more and more slacks and shirts to them. They did a pretty good job. Not the stellar service of Star cleaners, but good.Then the quality began to slip, perhaps a year ago. Started with things like receiving light starch on my formerly requested medium starched shirts. BUT, that was my fault, I didn't specifically ask, despite over a year of medium starch.Then, they ruined a high end, all cotton shirt, leaving it blotchy. Again, my fault, I "should have asked for dry cleaning. Uh, like I know about the cleaning of all fabrics. Even the gal at Star stated they should have known. A%M did dye it back to near its original color, but the fabric was never the same.Now, the light not medium returned, of course my fault, and they glazed the cuffs and color of an all cotton shirt, as well as scorched the cuff of a different shirt.When I pointed that out, I was told, again, it was my fault for not asking for dry clean on the all cotton glazed one. No suggestion of fixing the errors was made and suddenly, "i know understand" returns, said by the formerly articulate seamstress. I take my things and leave, very exasperated!So, I'll live with light starch on 4 shirts, but I take the scorched, and glazed ones to Star cleaners. They are able to rescue the scorched cuff but not the over heated glazed shirt.I return to A&M and ask for a refund, She is articulate in her reason not to, but when I counter with A&M has damaged two of my shirts and ruined a third, she "no understand".Finally, rather than keep arguing about a $21 refund for the botched job, I accepted $5 for the cost of the other cleaners to fix A&M's mistakes.I will never return!

Kaye Martin: Took my bridesmaid dress here to be steamed and altered. Initial thoughts were to go somewhere else because of the poor/rude customer service but I needed it done in a timely manner. Needless to say my dress was better before the alterations. Very bad experience overall and I did not feel like my dress was altered professionally for the price I paid. Will not return.

First me and my botlyfriend walk in with one basket already washed all we have to do is dry the clothes, out dryer currently out of commission. We put our clothes in the dryer and put $1.25 in the machine since it's was a 25¢ machine. The owner I assume runs up yelling saying "stop put money in". We said ok I'm sorry. Then we decide to then step outside while our clothes dry. We take two steps and she yells again "no one leave after 6.... you stay here". This lady literally made me feel so uncomfortable and unwanted, I will definitely never be back. Also the facility was disgusting, Dirty, and has the most out of date washing equipment you can buy. Most of them say out of order and most likely never get cleaned.

I am a technician with work slacks like jeans and button down shirts. I have also used them for personal items like coats and some of my wife's dresses. When I asked the lady, she said because there was a stain and they worked hard to get the stain out, uh, yes, they also destroyed and discolored the leather! My gloves were touch screen compatible and now since the fingers were destroyed, they would never work again. I end up purchase a new pair of gloves. When I was asking for a refund, the lady said she was not the specialist who did my gloves and I need to call them sometime later. Be careful with this place!

Lindsey Mallinson: Took my fairly newcomforter to be washed, it was too big for my washer at home. When I got it home there was a very noticable hole the size of a half dollar. I called and told them about the hole and first they said there was a stain there. I explained that I have only had this comforter for a short period and I would have noticed a stain (I'm a clean freak). Then she said the hole was already there. Why wouldn't they have said "there was a preexisting hole in your comforter" when I came to pick it up? They just let me take it home to figure it out on my own? And she kept repeating "we get comforters with stains and holes all the time". Great, but most of those probably aren't only 2 week old, $150 comforters.AND when I got the comforter home, it was still partially wet.I would NOT recommend this "business".

I thanked her, showed up ten minutes early and thought, "That's okay, I'll wait.". 10am arrived. No one yet. I called and she said", "I'll be there in ten minutes.". She did shiw up 8 min later. Amanda Smith: I needed to get some patches put on my sons' Taekwondo uniforms quickly so they wouldn't have to miss classes while the work was being done. Another place I checked with was going to cost twice as much for it to be "rushed" and it was still going to take a few days. I was able to get the patches done at Shareen's same day and at no extra cost! The patches look great too!

Jeremy “Stimpy” Simpson: A very nice self-service laundromat. Small location but has plenty of reasonable units to wash and cheap dryers as well as a very clean premises. Bonus feature they use debit as well as cash options so you don't have to make change beforehand

Cody Davis: Black shirts have soap spots from not washing all the way. Used a big enough washer and same amount of soap as I do at my normal laundry mat. Wow, no public restrooms? Laundry can easily take over 2 hours so access to a restroom seems like a no brainer'. Also no sink to wash your hands, rinsing out your detergent cup etc.

Raymond Jackson: Started out nice. Went today. It was packed. Trash all over the floor. All the machines were in use. Would be nice if people folded their clothes at home and stopped taking up space. Stop pulling one item at a time folding and hogging the carts. This review isn't about the company but the people. Even in the other reviews people are saying they spent hours there...taking up space.
Gina Brown: The plus side is that there was plenty of machines to use. I didn't have to wait. The negative side is NO attendant, The bathroom is locked,all I wanted to do was wash my hands. And people aren't picking up their own trash.

Holt: The machines & pay options are nice and convenient.The low rating is for the lack of an attendant, which means no access to the bathroom, as well as customers having to help customers understand the process and technology.I don't know if it is just the timing that I came in or what, but for the at least 3-4 times I have used this facility, an attendant hasn't been available and, again, no bathroom access.

Margie Mims: I’ve been different days at different times and have never seen an employee, which would be ok if the restrooms were open! Can’t imagine people with children would ever come here.
Crystal Brown: This place is very up-to date. You can download an app to add money and control ALL the machines. You are able to use coins but the app is very nice. The laundry mat is clean and does have someone on site. It does get busy so try not to go very late. Doors close at 10 P.M.
Kylie Beeley: Terrible service !! Machines weren’t working when they should have had a “out of service signs” the worker aksed my 4 year old nephew if he was raised in a barn because he was holding the door open and she didn’t like cold air coming in for a SECOND !! She gave off racist vibes !!

Patrick Thompson: I was pleasantly surprised to find such a great laundromat. They have top of the line machines in varied load sizes. As far as I could see, none of them were out of order. They have a cool electronic pay system but I still went with quarters. Last but not least, the place was spotless!
