On the bright side you rarely get a donut that's not been made withing 60-90 minutes of purchase. If they don't have what you want up front, ask what do they have in back. Nothing better than donuts fresh from the fryer.
Hannah Lowry: One of the best donuts I've ever had!Was visiting the area for work and decided to stop in on my last day in town. Definitely wish I'd found them sooner! There's nothing fancy about this place but the donuts melt in your mouth and the service is unmatched. The young man working the counter was running in very organized circles, remembered all of his regulars and made conversation with them, and served with a smile.10/10 definitely recommend!

We felt very welcomed.
Elizabeth Howard: I haven't visited Poppys in years but I decided to make the drive over there this weekend because donuts sounded good to everyone and I remembered how good they were. I pulled up to the front and thought they might be closed because there were piles of clutter everywhere in the old eat in area. The sign said open so I went in. The lady at the counter didn't seem to friendly. I asked her a few questions and got terse answers (felt as if I must be bothering her) so I quickly ordered a half dozen glazed and 2 specialty donuts. This was a little over 13 dollars. A little steep i think but donuts are getting really expensive everywhere. The donuts were good though. If I lived closer I'd go back but I probably won't drive clear across town for them again.
Dana Benedict: Poppy's is our family favorite, and always will be!! Some donut shops in the area tend to be too sweet for my taste, but Poppy's donuts are perfectly delicious each and every time. If you're in the Independence area and haven't tried them, you're missing out!!

Pat Kaler: Best donuts in the Kansas City area hands down. I drive over an hour to get these delicious donuts. Never once had an issue with anyone working behind the counter being rude or unfriendly. I've been going to this establishment weekly for over 5 years now. Make sure to bring cash, they don't accept debit or credit due to the outrageous fees associated with processing credit cards.

Emma Davis: Past few times I’ve been, their coffee always tastes awful. Today my boyfriend and I went. We both ordered mediums and I ordered mine with an extra shot of espresso. They didn’t put the extra shot in mine, instead it was in my boyfriends and his drink wasn’t even filled up all the way. Judy Lewis: Are corporate office did a week of treats for our dental practices. I'm not sure if we had Uber eats deliver or who did what. They didn't even ring the bill didn't tell us they were there. They just dropped the stuff on the counter. We had just opened at 8:00. None of the containers of flavors for the coffees were even full or had barely anything in them. The spout for the cardboard box was rotted from getting wet. I just feel when you are delivering donuts like that to a professional building. And it's for a corporate event I think you should have done a little bit better job.

My granddaughter loves the iced coffee and biscuits and gravy. We both love the breakfast sandwiches. My granddaughter buys a sack of cookies everytime we leave to take to school and she says they are very delicious. It s our go to place. It s also quiet so you can have a conversation in a quiet space. We are regulars and will continue to be.

She said that would be no problem. Today, I got the picture as promised. I am so happy with not only the arrangement but with the customer service that I received. I mentioned it was my first time in and I came here to fulfill my tradition of buying a box of donuts for my birthday. The staff were so kind they gave me a birthday donut (and recommended the apple fritter — FANTASTIC recommendation!) and insisted on lighting a candle and singing happy birthday! I highly recommend you go try everything. Specialized donuts for the kids coffee and other good drinks for the grown ups 🤣🤣 Biscuits and gravy are as good as grandma used to make. My family and I will be returning a lot from now on. We loved it and you will too 😁😁

Robert Hodson: Light and delicious donuts. Also, the ability to fill a long John with whatever you want is amazing. Recommend the chocolate frosted raspberry.

Terrible donuts, dirty kitchen, claims to be of faith yet show the exact opposite in their behavior and attitudes to their employees. If you ever wonder why there is always a help wanted sign in the window, it's because they are horrible people to work for. I'm surprised health hast shut them down.
Trent Green: This was my first time trying daylight and I have to say I am disappointed. I moved to the Blue Springs area a few years ago and thought I should give this spot a try. I stopped in had a pleasant experience with the staff as they were helpful and friendly. However upon returning home I did notice the size of the donuts was on the small side but not a big deal to be honest. The flavor was decent though I once I opened the donut up it was raw at thicker points. While this is clearly a mistake I would say the largest downside to daylight is not its own product but rather the Competition of Lamars down the road. I have gone to Lamar's my whole life and never had a bad experienced across all locations. While I was hoping to have a new spot with easy drive through pick up unfortunately I think its worth the extra couple miles drive down the road. I hope some improvements can be made and the quality control can be increased in the future. Does the job in a pinch but not the go to right now.

The reason the caramel disgusting donuts are left is because everyone hates them. The reason you have no chocolate left is because you can’t figure out that no one wants your gross donuts.I’ve never left a comment on a donut shop? But you just passed off everything you planned on trashing and Charged $30? It’s 2022, merchandise better. Read the room. Those gross caramel donuts are 1950 and if they are left over maybe you figure out why? Who’s running this ship? And why do you make donuts that no one buys so you dump those off on the 10am donut order. You ignored everything I asked for on door dash and gave me the exact opposite. Bad call. Never ordering from this place ever ever again.

That was a horrible thing to do to someone who bent over backwards to please you. Just so your aware my daughter was diagnosed with a rare incurable disease. Perhaps if you would take more interest in not only your company but your employees your donut shop wouldn't be going down the toilet. I wonder how the Elders would feel?

Erika Brown: After a year I was stop buy my favorite Bismarck donuts. This place was my favorite place for purchase donuts. First shock after open the box, they are tiny, looks a way from look I know. Second shock Bismarck was nasty lemon test cream, without any powder sugar on the top. Test was a miles away from good Bismarck what they usually have here. So I believe they change owner or something like that and for me definitely this place doesn't work anymore 😒 I'm definitely talking about Blue Springs Daylight Donuts and the donuts looks different & they also test different :(

Corey Badder: Understaffed. Good luck showing when they make biscuits and gravy. Waited 10 minutes for Simeon to let us in an hour after they open. Menu and what is on hand two totally different stories. This place has gone in the gutter over the past year.

Colin Peck: We used the Hy-Vee Bakery for our wedding cake and wedding cupcakes. Everything they made was absolutely delicious and they delivered to our wedding venue without any issues. We worked with Katie who was very helpful and flexible. Hy-Vee Bakery was a great choice and we would highly recommend them!
Liam Elliott-Rosenau: My spouse ordered a birthday cake for me and picked it up today. It was absolutely nothing like what was discussed with the baker. The colors were intensly hideous and clashed bc of it (we wanted something lighter), the font was wrong (they did flowy script font when we wanted it to be super simple and now we can barely read it), everything was off centered (the font was crooked and parts were floating randomly), and there were additions that weren't asked for. My spouse came home with it in tears because we don't have the time to get a new one made (what they said we would have to do if we wanted anything better) --- the celebration is today :( if I could give them 0 stars I would. The ready made ones in the case are 10x better than this which they had over a week to make!
Jessica Leigh Allegedly: The food is seriously good.. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be or not.. after trying the sesame chicken/fried rice/crab rangoon once- I was hooked. The fried chicken is fire, the pop breakfast is a personal fave when ordering from DoorDash.. however, the brownies are omg delicious. Unfortunately, if I buy a tray of them.. if I don’t have friends or family to help devour them and/or babysit me (lol) I have been known to eat them all by myself in one evening.. aha. Also, the people working in this dept are extremely friendly and helpful. It’s no surprise to me that they have a five star rating. They have earned that, for sure.
