Our dog is a rescue that had a rough life before us, she had never participated in daycare or stayed anywhere for boarding in the five years we have owned her because we were nervous about how she would handle it. Stacie and Nick encouraged me to give it a go considering we do have the need for boarding on occasion. They took their time with her and discovered she is great at boarding, but just doesn't love the daycare part (gets nervous around larger barking dogs). I am ok with that and appreciate the honesty! All the staff is great and know who she is when we walk in the door, that is pretty impressive since we are not there every week. Thank you for all you do for Fable!

Charles Jacobs: This place is ridiculous. They kicked my dog out said she had altercation with another dog. She has had no problems with other dogs including our other dog at home. They ended up kicking her out because they say she was causing problems with other dogs. Very soon after I'm taking her to vet for kennel cough. I believe it was a cover up for there mistakes

My pup is anxious about being in the kennel, and they have worked hard to find a spot that is comfortable for him. I highly recommend Pooches Paradise!

They care about the animals and their facility is super clean! My nervous nellie German Shepherd mix has a blast every time she goes. Their front desk staff and owners are so kind and accommodating! I haven’t interacted with all of them, but Lisa has been great during a difficult situation with a new pup. She went out of her way to try to help us with last minute changes. I can’t recommend enough!

R Tc: This is an edit to my original review of 5 stars. This place recently had a change in management and it's unfortunate, because the new owners don't care about you or your dog, they just care about the dollar. Their customer service was top notch when they provided training services and they had an amazing staff there before all the changes..I had to call 3 times to get a refund back from a training course they took money for and canceled during COVID. The managers were available 2 of the 3 times I called and refused to speak to me, made their poor staff handle this issue and the person helping had only been there for 4 months. This is not how you run a business or treat your customers. Think twice before bringing your dog here, if you care at all about integrity, go elsewhere.

Savannah also helped us build our confidence with easy to do training exercises that increased our bond with Bennett. We really appreciate how Savannah is always available via text, phone or email to answer questions. She customized our training sessions to address new behavior challenges in a positive way. Savannah and the rest of the staff at Pooches Paradise are very kind and thoughtful to both owners and the pets the care for. Their training and daycare services are worth the investment!

This establishment allows vicious dogs to engage in playtime and doesn't monitor carefully. This place is dangerous and completely unacceptable.

Julie Clark: I hate to write this review. Our first experience a few months ago was absolutely fine. We felt like our dog was well cared for. She stayed a second time over New Years for 2 nights and we have had a completely different experience. Our dog is shaking and afraid of us. She is timid and cowers. She is not eating well and we have a difficult time engaging her to play. She was a snuggly dog prior to this second stay and now she won’t even snuggle with us. Something definitely had to have happened while she was there. When we called to inquire and talked with the manager, we were told everything was fine when she was there. I will definitely not be taking her back there, I highly recommend others don’t either. The vet said it may take months for her to act normal again after this traumatic experience. If you go back and read the 1 star reviews, this seems to be a common occurrence. I wish I would have saw those reviews prior to taking our beloved member of the family there. We are beyond crushed.

Joel Roth: Regretfully I am writing this review. The first time I took my dog to Pete and Mac's she seemed to do well and was taken care of. This past weekend was a completely different story. I came to pick up my dog and she couldn't leave fast enough and seemed very timid and afraid, which is odd because she is very playful and loves people. When I got home I noticed she had giant sores on her mouth that seemed a few days old (my dog was boarded for 3 nights). I pay extra for my dog to have solo play time so she wouldn't have received these from playing with other dogs. So either she was muzzled and left muzzled for long periods of time, or she was anxious and nervous in her kennel and Pete and Mac's did nothing about it. They never informed my wife or I that she was in distress or that anything could have happened. I would hope for a courtesy call to inform me if something has happened to my pet. When we called to make this right they told us they could do nothing and that it's not their fault. I am a big animal person and would recommend not taking your pets here because heaven forbid something does happen, you will not be informed, they won't try to make it right, and they won't care what so ever. I am sad to have to write this review because of how good our first experience was, but this has ruined this place for me. I will not allow a member of my family to be mistreated and for a business who claims to care for animals not care. I will be letting all my family, friends, and coworkers know this as well to keep their pets safe. For those of you who haven't experienced this, I am glad and hope you never do.

Katie Padilla: I have boarded here many years ago. And I previously worked with a rescue where we boarded dog here before. I thought they might be capable of handling my rescue who I didn't want in play groups. So called today asking about availability for boarding from Saturday into Sunday. The person who picked up the phone let me know they usually want to do a trial to see how the dog is with other dogs and that they were pretty booked for the weekend. I let her know that's actually one of the things I wanted to discuss. I just wanted my dog in a run, not in play groups or the cage-less setting and was wondering if they walked the dogs a few times a day etc. The woman on the other end of the phone simply said "Oh! Yeah let me check with my manager if that's the case!" I then could hear her explain to "Liz" what my request was. I could clearly hear the manager Liz begin to emphatically tell her absolutely not, what are they (me) thinking? And has the employee seen the reservations etc etc.Horrible customer service by the "manager", even though she wasn't directly speaking to me I could hear everything and consider it very unprofessional and condescending not only to me but to the employee as well.

She is excited to see us when we pick her up, but never reluctant to go when we take her in. She is very comfortable with all the staff. They bath her before we pick her up (sometimes for free, depending on how long she has been there) and she is clean and well kept when we pick her up. It is not fancy, but they love the dogs and look after them, and it is reasonably priced. Great find and very convenient to our home in Brookside!

(Cameras to watch your dog on during the day) *****ALSO their response is a slanderous lie!!!!! I have never been kicked out of any boarding facility. I have tried to seek a resolution. I've asked to communicate with the owner. Instead Stephanie called me with a completely belligerent attitude. There is no conversing with her. I asked her to remove the lie in Cuddle Up Pup's response or validate it. She said she did not have to validate anything and asked me why I thought she would be nice to me. I then did a simple search and found that my dad is not the first person to have his dog kicked out with no warning and for no reason. It appears this is a pattern. DO YOUR RESEARCH - DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PETS HERE!!!!

The dogs are the same size and weight today, and one dog got a full hair cut while the other got just the "face feet and fanny." This time it was $140 and they did less than the time before. Will not recommend and will not take them here ever again.

However, I wish they would have done a better job bathing her (her face smelled of urine) and her bedding had to be immediately thrown away because it reeked of urine. She's an older dog and sometimes has incontinence issues, so I wish they would have washed it like other facilities have done. She just slept in her own urine and that's not ok.

Liz Geier: When my cat, little Opie, started going downhill within just a few days, I tried to get an appointment with our regular vet, but they were too busy to see him. When I called “Old Town Veterinary Clinic,” they were able to see him within a few hours. I was so relieved, and Dr. Snyder and the whole staff were friendly, attentive, and very compassionate. Dr Snyder gave Opie a thorough physical examine, and then did labs to check his kidney function, as she thought that may be the issue, and she was right. Opie’s kidneys were failing. They gave me options to decide what to do next. Opie was 18yrs old, and I could tell he was ready to cross the rainbow bridge. Dr Snyder and staff treated Opie with compassion and respect as they made him comfortable with a soft blanket to lay on as the Dr proceeded with the euthanasia procedure. They allowed me as much time as I needed to say good-bye to my little companion.I highly recommend Old Town and Dr Snyder and staff, and if I ever get another pet, I will definitely return. Thank you all so much for being there for us in this difficult time.
