christy keen: First the good-store was immaculate, very clean and organized. Now the bad-the manager was so RUDE and judgmental. Hey, pal, you don't know what people are going through and nobody wants your opinions on the way they talk or act. Shut up and do your job instead of hanging around handing out your preachy opinion on things that aren't your business. I will NOT return to this location. Go to Blue Springs-better items and much better workers.
Justin Metz: Even though this is one of the smaller restores I have been to it had everything that I personally was looking for. Included brand new gallons of paint in the colors I needed, Dome light for my bathroom, Non smoking signs for my new business, And random other little accessories I was looking for. All around it's a bit of a drive depending on where you live in Kansas City but it's well worth it!
Tisha: Truly love this store! Not just because I am part of the new management, but also because I know that I am working for a good mission. Our mission is to help end poverty and help our community. I enjoy seeing all of our customer's, because they too make it all worth while! Debra Felderhoff: I have rental properties and frequently shop at Habitat. Today, I bought four oven heating elements and 4 refrigerator water filters. The elements were 1$ each and the water filters were 2$ each. What a buy. I also bought a large box of nails for our automatic nailer for only 10$. Paint roller covers and tray liners very reasonably priced. I love this place.

Lisa Slater: Great place for the things you need to fix or repair around the house. They have lamps (25¢ lightbulbs too) doorknobs, hinges, paint carpet tile doors windows furniture tools phone cases. Tools, electrical stuff. Goes on and on. Friendly staff to help as well.

Paul Kirkendall: Truman heritage habitat for humanity is a great place for finding gently use furniture they also sell recycle ♻️ plumbing fixtures kitchen sink fixtures bathroom fixtures such as toilets and bathroom sinks and etc if you're needing any type of items to pick up your home with and you need it done budget friendly they can hook you up like I said they carry furniture couch chairs dining room sets and they're all at a great fair price plus if you got any household items that can be recycled they'll take them in.

Janetann Gregory: My mom had a rod put in her back and was there for rehab. The rehab was great and the staff took great care of her. She had no complaints about maywood terrace.

Nick Wendt: This place it crazy we just moved my grandmother from there and they have lost new outfits that was bought three-days prior of her leaveing and none of them can be found we went to see her and she has no blanket on her bed just an extra folded up sheet and the place stinks of piss I wouldn't say its fit for a dog to live in myself and the entire time we was there never seen any nurses
Daniel Wurtz: Maywood Terrace has come along way in the last 10 years. The Administrator and her staff are very nice people, and they have a passion for the elderly. Much work has been done on the inside of the building. I have had multiple family members live at Maywood and where taken care of. Maywood Terrace has daily activities for the residents, and have gone as far as taken them to movies, Royals games, and restaurants. Multiple times a week they have church services. Every year Maywood Terrace staff host a block party for the residents and the community. Again, I say the staff and administrator have a passion for the elderly.

Robert Wurtz II: Maywood Terrace took care of both my grandmother, Ethel, and my father in law, Homer, at the end of their lives. My grandmother had nearly died from poor care at another facility, but the kind and considerate staff at Maywood Terrace slowly nursed her back to health. Homer also enjoyed their kindness in the closing weeks of his life.

Diana Todd: They wouldn't take the back off the sofa for easier delivery. So as a result they scraped and chipped the paint off the hallway into my apartment by pushing the sofa in. I don't know if I'll be charged for the damage when the apartment manager notices it.

Karry DIVERS: So I experienced a very frightening Friday night after dark. There was a knock at the door, and two men asked for a different person than myself to which I replied was not here. I wasn’t even sure who they was because they didn’t identify themselves and it was dark. These two began harassing me left and right. I explained that I am not the customer and I would try to reach him. He wanted me to do it right then and I couldn’t because I was busy. They bombarded me with such anger and rudeness the entire time that I was trying to explain that I would do what I could. One told me he was supervisor for collections and he was going to call the police on me! He then proceeded to completely insult me. Just then my sitter pulled up and he proceeded to harass them! I even asked if they had a card so I would atleast know they wasn’t pulling something scary. They did not give me one and needless to say my son was so afraid that he didn’t even want to come out of the room to go with the sitter. Someone in corporate needs to know about what kind of employees they have! I will take this to the BBB

John F: Independence center is a decent place to shop if you are looking for some popular retail stores with several others nearby. It has been there for a very long time and I feel that they have done good upkeep on it overall. The mall is fully-enclosed, which makes it comfortable to walk around in any weather. It might be a good option for elderly folks who want to get some exercise and browse some stores. However, I am cautious to recommend it for kids and young families, as the area is not very safe or kid-friendly. There are not many fun attractions or activities for children, and the mall is located around high-crime neighborhoods. I have heard of several incidents of theft, vandalism, and violence in and around the mall. I think there are safer places to go with your family if you want to have fun and feel secure.

SirJuan Ingram III: Overall the experience that I had with the staff was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I was a satisfied customer. I had come in and originally rented a sectional. Come to find out that the sectional I rented was too big to fit in my apartment. So the delivery guys who I have to say were very professional and on time, took the sectional back to the store. I called and spoke with the manager and she was like hey come back to the store and we can get you something else. So I went to the store and after measuring several sofas and sectionals I finally found one that would fit thanks to the help of the manager and the delivery guy. After getting everything situated I was told I wouldn't be able to get the sectional until Monday. I asked the manager if they could deliver it the same day. The manager went to speak with her driver and came back and told me they could come out today. So they did finally come back to my apartment, after one of the delivery drivers just got back from delivering a refrigerator, and delivered my sectional and it fit and I am a very satisfied customer. I really wish I could remember their names but they know who they are and I thank them so much for making sure I left satisfied.

I called and told them what i was wanting and by time i waa able to get to the store they had everything ready for me when alex made my delivery i had just lost my kitten and he cared enough to help me look for her he was so sweet and told me to make sure i let them know if i found her or not. Kim: If I could give them zero stars I absolutely would. I placed an order for an LG TV when I called they told me they didn’t have any LG‘s but they had a Samsung I could have. They delivered it yesterday and it’s an off brand TV that I’ve never heard of and the cable company has never heard of. They left without checking it and it had no sound. The cable company couldn’t get the sound to work so I called them today and told them to take it back. I was told it would be sometime next week. I called and asked for the Regional Manager’s name and number and Stephanie refused instead they told me they would not rent to me again. Funny they rented my entire home of furniture and several tv’s in the past. That’s customer loyalty. This is not the same pleasant store and staff that it used to be. If this is now their idea of customer satisfaction they are going to fail.

#SWEETS: Great for home improvements always has a wide selection on everything my only complaint is watching the neighborhood go down from the pandemic and the homeless are uncomfortably there and are destroying public property such as the lowes concrete sign it's disappointing I usually have the best luck here with employees they are helpful
Paula Stevens: A memorial Day weekend I called at night and spoke with Ron about a lawn mower and items on sale for the lawn and he was so nice and went through everything for me. he told me to come in real early and I did and Mark was there and he helped me I told him everything wrong said and that he wouldn't be there but you know Mark or a couple other gentleman he named would be so just tell him everything. When everything didn't really go the way Ron said Mark went and spoke with someone and he got my order filled the way it was supposed to be and he helped me not only with that but also with plants and just all kinds of things and was very informative and helpful and I couldn't have appreciate it a sales representative any better than that I'm not sure if I've ever had one as good as this young man was because not only was the knowledgeable he cared.

Brandon Alexander: Bought kitchen appliances here, and every step of the process was painful and frustrating. We were notified of delivery times and they stood us up repeatedly. We would stay home to accept the delivery and NO ONE showed up or called. Each time, we made multiple attempts to speak with someone at the store only to be endlessly transferred, put on hold, and quite frequently hung up on. It was almost impossible to get in touch with someone willing to help.

Joe Oliphant: Terrible experience. I ordered a refrigerator and long story short it took four deliveries before I got one that wasn't dented. I had to drive to the job 20 minutes each way FOUR times on my days off over a three week span. I was told that I would get a little reimbursement for my time and fuel but have been passed around and around when I call to speak with a manager. I would get put on hold until the phone stopped ringing. I will never shop at your lowes again and will tell everyone I can to not shop there as well. Your customer is non existent in store and over the phone.

Patrick Kruser: Justin at Independence Audio is the BEST! I went in to replace the non working head unit for my vehicle. He showed me my options and hooked me up with a new unit. Tim Owens: Independence Audio is an awesome company to work with. Their quality and service are A+. I just updated my Home Theatre Area that had equipment in it that was over 20 years old. Over the past six months Independence Audio has installed a new Anthem MRX-1140 Receiver, Four new Dolby Atmos Speakers, and the new Sony 6000 Laser Projector. Dave was the salesperson I worked with and he was very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting me to get exactly what I wanted and needed. I'm totally loving my new Updated Home Theatre. It sounds great and the projector picture is amazing.

Rodney Stacks: I miss an appointment so they made me pay the full balance upfront, cool. I specifically asked for the bass control knob and they assured me they would install it. I pay them $500 just to install my own system. They didnt install the bass knob and i find out later when i got rid of the car the radio wasnt int a bracket just a plastic face plate after acting like they had to do surgery to my dash!!!!! You couldn't pay me to go back to that place!!!. Me

Troy Robinson: Recently purchased a sub and amp from them on Friday . I went in expecting to have to schedule a future date as I wasn't even sure what I wanted to go with . Justin helped me and to say he earned my business for life is an understatement. He took the time to explain things and got it installed that day . There was an issue at pick up but Justin stayed until it was working as it should . That kind of customer service is unheard anymore . Thanks again guys and Justin I really appreciate it .
R Bol: Been going here since my first car, bought a 2022 Refresh Silverado and they put a sub, amp and bass switch in , zero issues. I was the first person to bring in the new updated dash to them. I'm stoked been a month or 2 now and zero issues sounds amazing. I'll be bringing in my impala here soon.

zachary zender: With the help of Chirs, I had my jeep wrangler upgraded to a pioneer WT7600 NEX head unit and JL stealth box and amp and its a whole new driving experience. Sounds amazing and very nice to have wireless apple car play. Would highly recommend these guys!
Robert Dutro: Wouldn't purchase from again. Purchased the Rockford Stage 1 & 2 for my bike from them. Amp kit is missing the 35 pin in the kit. Guy even had the nerve to say I didn't buy the amp or kit from them only the speakers and deck. Guess some under the table stuff going on up there or someone just gave me my amp. Per Rockford's own words. That is 100% bad business. Buyer Beware all I can say. zero stars if I could.

Brandon Reichardt: Great experience with the guys at Independence audio. Had them install a basic home theater set up in my basement with the goal of being able to watch multiple sports games or other programs on one screen at the same time. They were able to advise me on whether to do a projector screen, a large TV or multiple smaller TVs and what would work best for our specific space. Ultimately settled on an 83 inch TV (given the space) and they were able to pair it with a tiling mechanism (Metra Multiviewer) that allowed for the TV screen to be split 4 equal ways simultaneously (with different inputs) or to do Picture in Picture with the proper aspect ratio and resolutions remaining intact. They also got us set up with a nice Sonos system with sound that fit our needs and a remote that was able to control everything from one simple device.Communication was good throughout the process as it looked like we might have to wait a while for install but Dave our sales rep kept in touch as things with the schedule evolved and was able to move us up by over a month from our originally scheduled date. The install guys who came the day of were really good to work with as well. Very knowledgeable, professional and good at communicating with someone like me who’s not overly tech savvy. They were there for about 5 hours installing everything and showed me how to set up and work everything that was installed.Overall good experience and quality work from people who clearly know what they are talking about and what they are doing.
Michael Sestak: I just had Independence Audio-Video install (4) quality Focal OD6 speakers in my backyard. This is a project I've dreamed of doing since I purchased my home a decade ago. I'm not sure why I waited so long?The speakers connect directly to my Yamaha 2070 with two separate zones. Zone 2 for Deck, Zone 3 for Patio. To turn on the music in the backyard, all my wife has to do is hit the "Party" button on the remote and the music instantly plays at a perfect level of -40db. Although I bought the system for me...she's the one who *really* loves it! She now does her bird-watching, coffee-drinking to the music of Brian Crain each morning! The sound quality is amazing - excellent clarity, even at low levels.Jeff was amazing to work with and the team that came out to my house were real audio experts. Even though they ran into a few challenges in my home, they knew exactly what to do. I was extremely impressed with the whole team. And their prices were very reasonable.I'm planning on finishing my basement soon and will definitely be returning to IAV for future audio work. I would encourage you to go to their store and look around. They know their business well - 10 out of 10 stars.

vick swishem_3s: Went in to buy a couple power tools. No hardware associate in any hardware aisle. I asked another employee to page them so the case can be unlocked. I heard the page go out and I waited then waited then waited. 15 minutes later no one still has not showed up. Asked for another page and waited 5 additional minutes with no hardware associates appearing. I’m trying buy hundreds in power tools. Locked the tools up and no employees to unlock it to make a sale. 🤦

Collin Smith: Audrey helped me load a lot of soil and mulch tonight, she was very helpful and friendly even though it was close to closing time. I appreciate how she did it all, and I would give her a raise, she's worth keeping around. Also the girl at customer service, I didn't catch her name, but she was very kind and even said she'd help load it herself if she could leave her register. 10/10, I will be back, and if I was in charge I'd give both of these kids a raise. They helped me above and beyond what I'd expected or hoped for especially an hour before close. Both of them went above and beyond, if you want to keep them working for you, I'd be giving them raises. I don't work for your company, I don't know what you can do, but PLEASE do the best you can for those girls. Their kindness and help made a world of difference to me, and I hope you use it as grounds to make a difference for them.
