Eunice Pryor: Me and my 2 kids went here and the doctor was great and the nurses who did the check in and the eye exam check in.But when placing my order the lady in the front didn't read what was covered on my insurance and was going to charge me for things my insurance paid for ( Check your coverage before you go) when we pick up the glasses on labor day I advise they young lady I had 3 pair for my family and she keep insisting that we didn't cause she only had one.After I insisted that we had 2 more pair for me and my daughter she found they and that made her mad they ordered the wrong frames for my daughter with their going to reorder but she was very rude I about adjusting my glasses and never finished and I told her I would like to order my sunglasses since I had to come back. She played me off and walk away and help someone else in the store. I hate poor customer service I just need my daughter's glasses and will visit a new location because the quality of glasses are great.

I have always had excellent service whether with an eye exam, purchasing frames and lenses or having my frames and lenses adjusted. I was in the last week of April 2022 to have my frames adjusted and Mary did an excellent job of getting them on top shape! I will continue to patronize this business!!
David Dahlin: I started dealing with vision works in Independence Mo. January of this year and while I forgot the first person I dealt with who ended up leaving Bethany is about the only person who leaves such an impression on me I feel vision work is great on prices and most everyone that works for vision works seems nice enough. With this being said I do feel that Bethany stands out above all at the independence Missouri location. Bethany doesn’t seem fake she tries to treat everyone the same but seems like she is down to earth with a great head on her shoulder. I could not ask for better service than I have got

He made me feel comfortable, listened intently and diagnosed me with ease. He also took time to inform me about related issues that could be affecting my eyesight. Dr. Crabtree was thorough and gave me a chance to ask questions, and made sure to answer them all. Bethany helped me pick my glasses and made sure I was all taken care of. She was very nice and helpful also giving me a chance to ask questions. Definitely a great experience and I will continue to see Dr. Crabtree!

Timothy King: We have come here because of company I work fr first time gave them information on insurance told I just had to $25 f or no line bifocals n Insurance would cover transition lens part so paid then turn around calling couple day later say I had to additional $45 so did when glasses came in said I had to another $150 , because stop dealing with the eye insurance company two months Pryor 🤬🤬🤬 the next yr I ordered prescription was off n did not want to fix it , each time different people , last time the most unfriendly reception, , it not my choice to deal with this company but the have the current contract so I’m am forced here

Maxwell Krem: I had an excellent experience here. I found frames that matched the style I wanted (actually 2-3 frames that could have substituted). Everyone was very friendly. I also had a good experience getting my eye exam from Dr. Cabrera, who is very professional and also informative.Notes: you will need to make an appointment. The glasses came back in about 10 days (takes up to 2 weeks). However, I have noticed inflation in eyeglass prices and was fortunate to have vision insurance which helped bring down the bill.
Popeye P: Poor experience after going there for 20 yrs I'm done. Had 3 exam's by 2 doctors 3 pairs of glasses still can't see out of any of them won't give money back and they have my glasses I paid for even though I can't see out of them. I told receptionist I could not see my neighbor's boat at 77 yards Which is 231 ft she said that is a very long way to see anything, for example hockey rink is 200 ft so I'm not supposed to see a game I guess, average braking distance for a car at 70 mph is just over 300 ft so when the driver in front of you slams on his or hers brake's you will rear end them before you see it coming. So after 20 years between the receptionist and the male doctor they have lost any business for me and I tell everybody at work about the experience so they will not go either.

Mary Faith Reyes: Watch out on this optical because just few days running out of 45 days warranty which my friend was not aware of it , they won't correct the glasses which I for the second time that it was not correct yet . My friend cannot see on this prescription and I just want them to correct it becaue she better off without glasses because of what they prescribed her. It is blurry. The skinny receptionist started yelling because she said it is already out of warranty although it is few days out of warranty. She won't even try to get it fix to fit on her face, keep falling down and her eyes becoming erritated for wearing it for longer hours and she started to get a mild headache.I think it is wrong prescription and they won't fix it for the second time. she pick it up last February 24 and returned it on April. Pick it up again and returned the second time which is in May that when they won't even try to get it fix because she said is out of warranty.after 2 months of trying to get my eyes used to it, her eyes never get used to it that is why she went bac again for the second time. Such a bad luck dealing with that skinny receptionist as she treated her very badly. Will never go back there again. waste our time and money. They were good the first time we walk in to get the eyes check but if you come back for issue, watch out how she/they will treat you.

Herman Fritz: Julie showed great care and concern, and performed a great adjustment on my glasses for me! Highly recommended..
Ashley Horick: The Walmart Vision Center was a new in-network provider for materials with my new vision insurance. I decided to give them a try, and they did not disappoint! It was a hurdle to get the most of my benefits I pay for through insurance though, all however were NOT a Vision Center issue. I called the insurance and confirmed my benefits before arriving at the store. The manager, Kris, called to verify eligibility and benefits and was told something different than I was previously told. I brought a print out of my vision benefits with me and he understood and wanted to make sure I was getting my benefits used correctly. Another employee, Kyle, took my many phone calls and always was so respectful and patient. He tried to contact my insurance company too, and couldn’t even speak to a representative. Needless to say, this new insurance is a PAIN, but the Vision Center was so great to work with. I went there on a Wednesday, then Thursday, and by Saturday, things were figured out. Not without the help and patience of Kris, Kyle, and Ericka. Kyle was the one I settled up with and he was informative, professional, and knowledgeable. Do not hesitate to try Independence, Kansas Walmart Vision Center!!

WRONG! i came to walmart thinking about prices and how they were much lower compared to others. The dr never acknowledged my astigmatism, she never gave me options, nor asked me what kind of contacts i preferred knowing i did have options. Given my contacts and glasses once i tried them on the prescription was way off! I had to go to another optical to get it right after seeing another customer yelling at Julie for the same reason and how poorly she handled it. I came back thinking she would change it but instead blamed it on me. NEVER AGAIN! Worst dr!

They are lying to customers telling them they MUST get additional procedures when it’s not necessary. I heard them telling other customers the same thing while I was waiting in the lobby. They lied to me, got my prescription wrong, and then the very rude individual conducting the eye exam refused a refund. I’ve worn contacts my entire life and never had this problem before. DO NOT GO HERE!

Holly Griffitts: If I could give zero stars I would. I was running late for my sons appointment, less than 15 minutes. Most doctors would've still seen him. We walk in and the employees are standing around as usual. The oldest one of them immediately started shaking her head, and said oh she's not going to be able to see you. About this time the "Doctor" walks up shaking her head. Sorry I have another appointment I won't be able to see him she says. The place was empty other than he employees. No one even asked if I would like to reschedule the appointment. I had shopping to do which took 20-30 minutes and when I went back by guess what the place was still empty. What a joke! I will never go to their vision center again!

Gail Boyson: I ordered glasses for work. My work paperwork is about 2ft from my face and my computer is around 4ft away. I was able to order glasses in the past that meets my work setup. They told me to rearrange my office to accommodate the glasses they made where the paperwork is 18 inches and the computer is 2ft away. That’s impossible with my work setup. I know it’s possible to get glasses to meet my needs but they aren’t willing to work with the unusual. Very disappointed. I purchased 3 pairs of glasses and will be returning all of them!I found another office that was happy to accommodate my needs. Very frustrating that Optical Options wasn't willing to even try. Staff was NOT helpful.

Dr. LeeAnne actually showed me a technique and had me do it prior to me leaving the office. I certainly appreciated the extra time and attention she gave me.She explained some treatment options going forward, as well, and shared and supported the reasons for her recommended treatments. Dr. LeeAnne never appeared to be in a hurry or made me feel I was taking too much of her time. She always makes me feel better after seeing her and having my needs addressed.Dr.LeeAnne is a very kind, friendly, highly knowledgeable, professional and caring doctor. They have always recieved excellent care and been able to chose from a good size selection of children's frame.However, TODAY I went:From the time I walked in and checked in everyone was so nice and pleasant!!The medical assistant answered all my questions without getting annoyed with me, she was happy and delighted to educate me.My doctor was very helpful and for the first time in a very long time. I saw 20/20 vision without squinting, turning my head, moving things closer or further away. She answered all of my questions thoroughly without rushing.I absolutely had the most fun shopping and trying on glasses with my associate.I despise glasses but I recognize the value in them, she helped me navigate my insurance plans. We laughed at how some of the frames made me look so silly. She didn't even mind when I had a top 6 and together we narrowed them down.The best was after I picked up my son's new frames, I put them on when she took my payment and when she returned she laughed out loud at the goofy face I was making at her.I have been to a lot of doctor's offices and it is a rare find an office where I felt like I could be myself.Thank you all so much!!I can't wait to see you all again.
Tina Keith: I was recommended this place by the optometrist at Target. I came in for my appointment and the heavy set lady at the front was very rude. My insurance for my regular eye exam was not activated and she was sure to tell me “we weren’t aware you had regular eye insurance “ I had to have a medical exam so that was going through my health insurance. I wanted a regular exam also and she rudely told me if my insurance is not activated they won’t back date it. It was the tone of her voice. I’m sure I told them on the phone that I had regular eye insurance also. The front desk lady was just plain RUDE. The Dr. however gave me the best treatment! He explained everything and was very friendly. I hope the front desk lady can gain some better customer service skills.

The staff at the front desk were very welcoming, the woman who did my initial testing was very nice and helpful, Dr Whitworth immediately put my mind at ease and was wonderful, and the lady who helped me pick out my frames was great! I am so glad I chose this location. It is a lot better than the place I used to go to back in Michigan.

Which I was pretty sure of it myself.Then they out sourced me a visit to Moyes eyecare for the surgery. Now I have to go there for eye exam before surgery with them.Which leads to the question. What good did it do me to come here if I have to be examined again. I was looking for one stop shopping.Get examined schedule a surgery. Not get examined twice the surgery.But I believe vision Source is a very good busyness and my Dr very knowledgeable.

They were able to schedule us an appointment quickly and were very friendly and professional over the phone. When we arrived for our appointment, they were right on schedule.Sam took him back to get pictures of his eyes and made him feel very comfortable, as this was his very first eye exam.Dr. Earley gave him his exam and was very patient. She took the time to show him his picture of his eyes and explain what everything was.When the exam was finished, Eric helped him pick out his frames. He was super patient and knowledgeable. He made that process extremely smooth!We had to come back the following week because we decided that he needed contacts for baseball. Sam helped with the contact instruction and was extremely patient, quirky, and fun—perfect for kids who are nervous. He left there feeling so confident and proud of himself.We are now lifetime customers and will recommend them to everyone!

Great Staff - Sam, Aleva (I think that is her name) and the Eye Doctor were all fantastic.I could not be more happy than I am with how they helped me. Would 100% recommend with my friends and family. Mr L: Never again will I use this place! They say we'll send out your contacts.......they don't. We'll send your prescription.... They didn't.The response is a complete LIE. No one tried to call me. They said they would order my contacts. They didn't order them. I had 1800 contacts call for my prescription because when I asked for my contact prescription they sent me glasses prescription. They wouldn't give it to 1800 contacts. So they canceled my order. I'll be blind for Christmas. Thanks!

Phillip Merriman: When I called to check to see if my glasses where ready they wouldn't even check to see if they was there. Instead said well if we didn't call then they ain't ready. So I kind of felt blown off by the staff. Also they only provide Medicaid patients with 1 pair of glasses every 2 yrs and if they brake because of the low quality they make you pay full price on your new pair. Even if your prescription is only good for one year. Which is what is recommended to be done annually. Doesn't seem fair to the less fortunate.

The people who work there are really nice, I feel really bad for the 1 star, but every time I went I got glasses that were way off.. the 3rd appointment she tells me I have to get some crazy eye drops that paralyze your eye muscles.. I went somewhere else and they got my new prescription right on the first try. The lenses were really smudged here too which I feel affected my results. They have great customer service though and the ladies who work at the front are super nice.

Bruce Knight: I will never buy glasses at Eye Care Optical again. I went to get my lenses replaced under warranty and was told my warranty was used up. When I first got my glasses they had a manufacturing defect. The lenses were remade a few weeks later and they were counting that as a warranty replacement. They should be called " Lie, Cheat,& Steal Optical"
