James Glavin: I slipped and hurt myself on the bathroom rug there on Wednesday. Needs to be cleaned more so it’s not a trip hazard.
Essence Mcpherson: On Sunday 01/30/2022 I went to this place to watch the AFC Championship Game... First red flag $10 cover charge, I go all over to watch the football games and have never paid... But whatever! Get in start watching the game...all the TV's literally went out the 1st time they got them back on fairly quick about 3mins... The crowd is Chanting "Free Shots" "Free Shots" the DJ comes on and say "do it louder he can hear yall" whoever "he" is IDK "he" never addressed the crowd.... The next time beginning of the 4th quarter all TV's go out again and NEVER came back on... The crowd was watching on phones and screaming out plays.... NO THANK YOU! I decided to leave as I was leaving the door lady couldn't understand why i was leaving she stated "your watching the game on your phone " "we have drinks and food specials" No one offer at the very least half the money back or even a free shot(for other i do not drink) for the ppl that paid to come inside and watch the game.... I will NEVER go back... Definitely GHETTO! I made sure to tell everyone about my experience with this place so hopefully it doesn't happened to them... Do Better!!!! my 1st and last time EVER going back.... I would rate zero if i could...
Lawrence Pearson: Great show around good people perfect parking I heard a friend found a wing in her purse next day . So it was a good time

Tamika Manning: This is the place to be! We haven't been so relaxed and laughed so hard in a long time. We needed that!! Did I mention it's 420 friendly? When we return to KC I'm bringing everybody!!! Definitely the spot to be at for a wonderful time. Thanks for the invite!! The owner came and thanked us for coming out. We appreciate that!

Pretty Youniq: I always have a great time when I visit, the various events and shows never seem to disappoint. The crowd is usually cool with a chill vibe. Improv Comedy Club: what do users think?
Mrs. Yvonne Reed: Just saw Marlon Wayans at last night's early show - He was the BEST I've seen at the Improv!!! And I've seen a lot. He's funnier in real life. I love how he keeps the memory of his parents alive, especially his mom. I felt that deep in my soul. I still have my mom, and I'll call her daily from here on out. He should be the 5th Wayans Millionaire!!!!!
Benjamin Hanke: The show was great. Food was very good. Just a little pricey
Sam V: Great club. The comedians were awesome and the food was good. We all had a good time.
Daniel Rogers: Fun experience
Vernon Tyrell (Tyrell): Great night out with the wife. I will be going back as soon as I can.
candace middleton: Bill Bellamy was excellent his opening act was amazing!
J Peckman: Nice as always, staff was friendly. Great show, glad stand up Comedy is back.
J Clymore: If you can get enough people to fill a table so you don't have to share with randoms.
Rayona Pryor: We went to see Bill Bellamy the show itself was great but the atmosphere not so much. We were on top of each other with a shared table I couldn't even sit my food on the table had to hold it in my hand. The servers were walking over people tripping and bumping guests. Just open another row up I paid the price I would like to sit comfortably and laugh in peace.
CAT: This is my fiancé and I’s third time at the Improv! They always have a great lineup of comedians!! The food was great as well as the drinks! The only reason I gave them 4/5 stars is because of the seating… it’s a bit tight and their tables are pretty small…
Brian Sword: A lot of fun! Food and Drinks are overpriced, but otherwise a nice place to catch a comedy show.
Nishia Plattner: I've been to the Improv many times. This time, I got to see Tony Baker! He is hilarious it was a great show!
Michele Puckett: We visited a week ago, our first time. The show was funny. We sat at table 67 price $29 (per ticket), but it was a struggle to hear. The very next week we paid for VIP tickets price $94 (per ticket) we were seated in the same row at table 69 a total of 4 feet from our first seats. I asked the person at the front door if that was correct given our VIP tickets we were still the same amount of rows back. He was rude, and said that was the computers selection. Consequently VIP tickets are not worth 3 times the price of general admission tickets.
Keshia Hunter: I had a blast! My lemon drop martini was on point, not to sweet and just strong enough.Tony Tone was freaking hilarious, had me crying 🤣🤣🤣. Impersonations were on point to.Then Mr. Don DC Curry-funny af and factual. Loved them💜 God bless🙏🏾
Ala Abston: Terrible service
Donna Bailey: It was a great experience super nice people S service was great
Amy Holtzinger: Great comedians scheduled for this year!
Tim R: The headliner, Dave Nihill, was great! The venue itself was ok. We got there about 50 minutes before the scheduled start. There was no line to get In.My wife enjoyed her cocktails. My beer tasted good and clean. The fries were limp and soggy. The pulled pork nachos were good. Service was ok. I ordered a water, but it never came. At least it wasn't on our bill. The tables are tiny. Good for maybe 4 children. Not suitable for 4 adults.
Sarah Hardin: Saw Drew Lynch and had a great time! Went on a Friday night for the 9:45pm show. The whole thing was a pleasant experience and I was really happy that we were given the option to do a meet & greet after the show with free pictures. I also bought one of his shirts which he signed during the meet & greet.Food/drinks are kind of pricey, but about what you should expect to pay at any event like this. I got the Buffalo Chicken Dip ($11) w/ a side of sour cream and it was AMAAAZING! My friend got the BLT Tater Tots ($11) which she did like, but she said that my buff chkn dip was a lot better.
Tech Wizard: The comedians were really great. The staff was fantastic. The food is really quite good. The automatic 18% gratuity is pretty reasonable, considering how great the service is.
Tonya King: I felt the comedians were great but they took some of the live time away with something on the screen they should be always a live show and it’s was so small you hardly have any room

The Comedy Club of Kansas City: what do users think?
Sabrina Fire: I went to go see Mike Baldwin with my sister for her birthday. It was our first time here. We were blown away by the ambiance. From the outside of the building it is unassuming. Everything is clean. The staff is polite and attentive. I loved everything about this comedy club. The owner even said greeted us as we came in. He is very polite and welcoming. I can not wait to go back again!
A B: Meh, I had high hopes but the staff is rude. Dinks were fine, we didn't order any food. They need to consider some building maintenance, bathroom doors don't latch completely and if you're not careful you'll give a select few people another kind of show than they came for. Sound system needs a major upgrade, if you like listening to static with your jokes this is the place for you. No comment cards on table, just overall seemed very unorganized and unprofessional. Comedian was funny, openers were funnier, but will likely not return to this specific club again. There re better options out there KC!!
Linda Macias: Drinks are so expensive, but the show was amazing.
Annette McGinnie Trotter: A night out with the hubby and a few close friends... 💕
Alicia Pompa: Great time always !
Jeff Morgan: What a blast!Great atmosphere. The food was perfect, especially the fries. The staff works hard and is trained superbly, making sure everyone is well taken care of.And who doesn't love a night of laughter!Buy a good seat and have a fantastic time!
T. Hartsell: Hilarious
2J: The atmosphere is great. The drinks and food are awesome. And if you like stand-up comedy ... what are you waiting for grab some tickets.. this place is great
Cory T.: Great night and first comedy show with the one and only.... Jeremiah Watkins!!!!! "Eating seeds, is a past time activity....!!! The TOXICITY, THE TOXICITY OF OUR CITY..!!!!!!"
tristan wagner: Great no nonsense club. Soder and the opening acts were phenomenal
Erik Butler: They have quality acts and great service!
Maudell Cole: Very nice and clean and friendly wait staff
Peyton Waskey: Great place for a comedy show
Jahmil Foster: Comfortable intimate layout with a good food/drink menu. Will definitely be back
Chris Anderson: Great place for comedy, seen a couple big names here
Sarah Christian: We had a great time at our first comedy show! We paid extra for the preferred seating and I'm so glad we did. Not only did we get up close to the stage, but service also starts with us so we weren't waiting for food and drinks. The wait staff made continuous laps making sure everyone had food and drinks andnour ticket came at the end of the show, everything was seamless. It was definitely an expensive date night, so not something we will do super after, but if we know there's someone we enjoy we'll definitely go! What a great time!
King Ed: First time experience was awesome. I'm definitely coming back.
John Calkins: Best comedians
Virginia Wilson: Friendly staff. Good entertainment
Christina Coulson: We love coming here to see our favorite comedians
dirk funk: First time going to a stand up comedy show. This place was amazingly friendly and had super good vibes. There were a couple 'bros' that couldn't handle themselves, but I can't hold that against the venue. If you're looking for a fun time with lots of laughs, this is definitely the place!

The Bird Comedy Theater: what do users think?
Nicole St. James: Went here for the underground cabaret show as a surprise. We invited some friends. When we opened the doors we were showed at how run down the inside of the establishment was. They didn't serve any alcohol. Tickets were wayyyyyyy over price for the performance we saw. We have been to many different cabaret shows before from other production companies and this was like amature night. Can't believe they charged what they did for tickets. Don't even get me started on what they charged for a red silo cup of popcorn. However, kuddos to all the ladies that got up on stage!!!
John Stewart: Saw a burlesque show here! Fantastic evening with friends and weed.
Lin Lin: Worth the money.
Asa Ishkuntana: It is a great venue, enjoyed the show and would definitely recommend.
Jacob Clark: Incredible venue that supports local and truly gives artist a place to do really whatever they want. A true gem of Kansas City.
MIchele Sherrils: Fun atmosphere
Michael Stoufer: They have shows almost every night of the week. They also offer a multitude of classes covering improv, screen writing, and more! I love this place!
Jason Turner: Great venue and location
Brian Zehnle: Great space, amazing talent, and delicious popcorn!
Shayne Fisk: Go check it out. If you're reading this review, go check it out. Looking for something to do for a night in KC? Go check it out.Found this place on New Year's Eve with some friends on a whim. We left after watching for a bit to grab food, then came back to see the rest of the night and ring in the New Year. Awesome theater with a lot of hilarious groups performing. 1,000% recommend, if you have a free evening, go check it out.Drinks are well priced here too so it was a great place to hangout and relax for the night. They are celebrating their 1st year of being open soon too. I've forgotten the name of the host but he was hilarious too.I've also forgotten everyone else's names but I believe one of the Four Nathan's did a great 'sexy worm' impression that my friend group won't forget.Go check it out.
Zachary P: Awesome New Year's performance! I was told I could come and go as I pleased during the performance. Guess what? I didn't want to be anywhere else! A+ I'll be back!
Me M: Really enjoyed both the shows we saw- both co-owners are also actors and great in the shows. Large rotating cast who seem to enjoy making the audience laugh.
Meredith Lindsey: Eh, I guess I'll go back...you know, just for the comedy and whatnot.
Charlotte Ellis: Went to the monthly short-film screening, and had such a fun time! I had no idea that a theater like this existed in KC and I will definitely be returning!
Kyle Burton: Had a really good time. It's a nice low key comedy club. The only downside side for me was no liquor. They do have beer and wine but I'm not a big fan personally.
April Matusiak: They make everyone feel welcomed. Great place to take classes. I do the $10 drop in Saturday class frequently because I can't afford the big classes. Best teachers ever.
Brian Dance: Was a lot if fun burlesque was mesmerizing
HB Ridley: Love this place! Thursday night jams are the BEST!
Hope Cox: I had a great time here. Wish there was more seating. The people working there were great. I will be back!
H Ridley: LOVE this place! Always good laughs and good fun here!
Vagabond Vegan: Have you heard about the Bird? It's a great addition to the KC arts community. Reminds me a lot of the Annoyance Theater in Chicago. Great improv shows, classes, Jams on Thursday and drop ins Saturdays for extra fun play time!!!They've got sketch shows, stand up shows, local film showcases, burlesque and more. . .Excited to see this theater blossom and grow. Any place that allows people to express their own brand of weird and have fun is alright by me.If you haven't heard about the Bird you should tell everybody that the Bird is the word. Don't you know about the Bird? Bird. A bird? Bird is the word. You do now. You're welcome! Go bird watching at the Bird. Or play with them it's fun too!

Apex Aleworks Brewery & Taproom: what do users think?
Ashley Hunt: Always a fun time at Apex. A solid bar with a chill atmosphere, excellent service, quality beer, and a step above your average bar food. Reuben pizza is killer!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Cam F Awesome: Great venue. Live music and open mic comedy night.
TOG79: Fantastic brewery. Staff was very friendly and very chatty,. The beer was excellent and they even let me try a couple samplers to see if I liked them. Great experience for an out of towner.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
D Thomas: Great beer, good improv on fridays at 8.
Kurt Skinner: I was disappointed in the manager of ApexOrdered food and beer. They were unable to pour the beer selected. Gave us a 5oz pour instead. Charged us for full pour even after I talked to the bartender about the price. He said it would not show up on the bill. It did. Stood at the bar for several minutes waiting to have the overcharge fixed. Got tired of waiting and and asked thru the kitchen door for some help. A staff person came out to help (same guy who originally took my order) He said he was the manager. I told him what happened and he chewed me out for opening a staff only door. I asked him if the guy going around taking pics of the group was the owner. He would not answer and said he would take care of this issue. Instead of redoing the bill properly, I was given cash for the beer I did not get. All in all an unpleasant experience. Also, good thing I don’t work for Beer Advocate. Had IPA sampler. One IPA really nice (the one they couldn’t do a good pour on) two Ok, one had the bandaid taste of bad home brew. Food was good. Most reviews of Apex pretty good. Not mine.
Craig Shappell: Had a flight. I'm an ipa lover but like a good sour too (ok I'm different) had a flight with spring fling, firewalls, drunken brick and gigantic pucker. 2 ipa's, 2 sours. Drank ipa's first. YUM! Drank the sours Yum! Great flavor on all. Never had that happen with a flight before (always 1 in a flight that is like....no. but I chose them) Decided on the Drunken Brick. A Flanders red sour. Aged in oak barrels for 11 months. So smooth, and as it warmed the flavors popped. WOW. Met the owner/brewer manning the bar. So friendly, laid back tap room. KEEP UP THE OUTSTANDING WORK!Parking: This is in a shopping mall. Unlimited parkingWheelchair accessibility: No automatic door, but no stairs, so yes accessible
Laura Cortner: The conversation, beers and environment: Fabulous! You feel like a local, that's what makes it the BEST. Orgasmatron, IPA and Celebrate Summer seltzer...great! Another must stop in the KC area!Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite and 1 small town at a time. Explore everything!
Mark Ryan: Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes More
Guy: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 2/5More

Timothy Cox: Hidden Gem
Amber S: Great place to relax with a WIDE selection of beers to try. Got to see some live music, but they've always got fun activities scheduled!

James Jefferson: Great beer. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Locally brewed and owned.
Tiffany Kim: Had a wonderful time here with my family. Got to meet the owner, Tim, he was very nice. Staff was amazing. The bartender was even able to help me find a drink I would like. Pizza was delicious. Lots of board game.
Sue Gee: Great atmosphere and nice selection of craft beers. They also have the bbq/brewery next door with lots of sauce and spice options. Staff was very hospitable.
Jon Olson: Solid choice for pizza and craft brews. Tim the owner is outstanding and friendly. The Friday open mic night will introduce you to some of KC up and coming comics like @Brock Bristow.Go there and check them out.
