Center Place Restoration School: what do users think?
Leslie Edwards: Great school! It's our first year attending CPRS, but so far we've had an excellent experience. I feel my daughter has still kept as much of her innocence and naivety as possible which is what I was hoping and praying for. I hate to imagine the year we would have had (not to mention the years to come) if she were enrolled in public schools. The Kindergarten teacher is amazing and loves her job. She knows exactly what she is doing and is organized, experienced, and more than a parent could ever ask for. She knew just how to guide the students as well as the parents through their first year. I also have two sisters who are in their 20's now and also attended who enthusiastically praise them with rave reviews and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to send their child to private school.
Mrs Bauman: We feel very blessed to be part of the school! So thankful this place is available for my son. He is learning so much and loves going to school.
Eric English: CPRS is a fantastic school and has been such a great blessing to our family. The small class sizes and low student to teacher ratio allows for a lot of direction instructional opportunity. Standardized test scores (ACT) for the school have always exceeded state and federal averages and equal or exceed other local schools in the area. Tuition is lower than virtually every other private school in the KC metro area, due in large part to the substantial amount of financial donations from a wide community of school supporters (and they have tuition assistance opportunities for those who can't afford to pay it all). The curriculum is wide and varied with rigorous educational coursework, many sports programs, an excellent fine arts department, elementary to high school foreign language, a service club, top notch religious instruction and worship opportunities, and the list just goes on. It's a safe and family friendly environment with a loving staff, good facilities, and fantastic families. I can't recommend it highly enough...
Anna Marie: Excellence in education!

Messiah Lutheran School: what do users think?
larry jeffries: My 10 year old daughter was verbally attacked at Basketball practice by the school board president, and her sister inlaw. We withdrew our daughter from Messiah fearing for her safety. 48 hours and still no contact from school leadership. If you are a member of this church you are afforded certain latitudes.ie attacking children of non members.
April Rose: My son attened Messiah Lutheran starting 2015 in kindergarten. We realized shortly after that he wasnt quite prepared for Kindergarten as his teacher wasn't able to handle his energy and his hands-on driven learning. So we(his dad and i) moved him to Pre-K with Mrs. Koenig. She was AMAZING! She had so much patience with him and his way of learning. Fast forward to the first day of kindergarten. This started the nightmarish year from hell. By the first week of September she had my son in a desk by himself away from all the kidsfacing away from everyone. She was sending home a chart outlining all of his "bad" behavior for each minute of the day as petty as just making a noise. Fastforward more of this happening everyday. My son was so focused on being a "terrible" kid because Mrs. Eckhoff would only point out what he was doing wrong. Well we were in constant contact with the principle(who is married to the kindergarten teacher, mind you) and kept asking what we needed to do. He just kept telling us they were working with him. So beginning of this year the kindergarten teacher took it upon herself to DRAG my 6 year old down the hallway by his arm making it impossible for him to stabd or walk while the PRINCIPLE was screaming in my son's face asking him "what was wrong with him?" My son had been brought down so far that he told his teacher he wanted to kill himself because she was mean to him. So my 6 year old had to be seen by professionals because his TEACHER made him so miserable! The state was involved. The school board met with us and even with the principle and teacher ADMITTING to it they still are teaching and he is heading the school. When he returned to school the teacher refused to put him back with the kids even though it was determined by a professional that it was necessary for positive reinforcement with my son. My son was diagnosed with ADHD. Well, then the teacher and the principle both started shoving my sons medication in his face saying it was his fault because of this or because of his medication. Well, my son fell into hysterics when it came to going back to school that we had to remove him from the school permanently. They have lost a large amount of students from other issues with another teacher that was forced to retire because she was caught abusing the child of a school board offical. Bullying by students AND teachers. I'm currently in the process of sueing the teacher for damages for my son and to have her removed. When people started leaving, the principle made calls to the sister lutheran school in Blue Springs telling them that the students applying to their school were removed for disorderly behavior from Messiah. This school is a joke and i am a very patient person. But this school is more focused on their own sake than what they can do to ACTUALLY help the kids. Shame on you MLS and the church as well.In close, once we removed our son from MLS The Pastor TEXT my sister and requested that we keep things quiet as they felt they did everything they could. They didn't feel it would be fair for us to bring the school down for their failures. Believe me, it would be easy to think i am bitter about this but if i keep myself from beating the teachers ass for putting her hands on my child then there is no bitter feelings. She will get her own legally.
