Somerset Wine & Cider Bar: what do users think?
Sudy Hurst: Entertainment was fantastic, food truck incredible (best paella and empanada’s I’ve ever had!), and yummy wine- love the wine Slushies…..and then bonus is the garden shopping- always great bird feeders, and gorgeous plants to add to any garden. Jeff is helpful in the nursery for plants and such……the real jewel is Somerset owner, Cindy Reynolds….a winning idea of partnering with Rosehill to offer the Somerset wines and putting on one of the best happy hours in KC!
Eric Muehlbach: As far as date night goes, it doesn't get much better than drinking wine in a flower garden with live music & good eats nearby. The staff is always friendly & I've actually been quite impressed with the musicians.
Celinda Stricklan: Host was rude. $10 for half a glass of wine and never saw her again. Felt like we were disturbing her. Would not go back.
Lori Bray: Nice wine event with great music and scenery
Anne Nienhueser: It was nice - casual, outdoors, fun music, good food truck, pretty place. It was really hot when I was there, it will be great for fall.
Bill Bray: Good music, good wine and staff was awesome!
Charlene Jordan: Great experience. Music pretty loud; otherwise fun place.
Jason Attebury: The band was good. The food was great. The ambience was fantastic. Oh yeah, they had really good wine too. Recommend.
Talmadge Fletchall: Great weekend spot for wine and music! Great hosts and excellent service!
Marianne Curtis: Friendly and helpful staff
Nedra Sparks: This charming setting and wonderful staff made our business meeting and social one of the best ever. Cindy Reynolds went above and beyond seeing to every detail from planning to execution, and every staffer was so friendly and helpful. Delicious wines, a specialty cocktail, live music by Kyle Sexton and delicious food by Beauty of the Bistro food truck rounded off a perfect evening. I highly recommend this venue!
Annette Greene: An different atmosphere with good wine, food, friends
Lisa Brummett: Had a wonderful time! Slushies we great. It was VERY hot. I strongly recommend some fans to move the air. People were melting. It was packed though and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Candice Diddle: We loved spending the afternoon at this winery, it’s so peaceful. Can’t wait to go back.
Jordan Payne: Oh man, this is my new favorite spot for the summer. A beautiful patio with decent shade and a lovely setup (so many plants!). Amazing, local wines that come with quite a bit of variety + unique wine-based cocktails and mixed beverages. Nicole and Adam were the main people to serve us and they were so knowledgeable and helpful. Plus, that foodtruck (El Tenedor) was SO GOOD. Fun music too. Absolutely worth the drive from downtown KC to spend such a great evening. Go. Then go again. 3
Wade Walker: Great atmosphere and reasonably priced
Mada Reliford: Just beautiful and the flowers smell so good
Tawnya Fisher: We had a lovely evening with friends. The band was really good too!
Collins Reynolds: Great place, awesome atmosphere!
Anthony Hughes: It's a pretty venue and the staff were kind, but the menu was pricey and the portions were small. First, you'll pay ten dollars as a fee to be there, but that includes your first small-sized drink. What was really off-putting, was the fact that all of the beverages were served out of small, plastic cups; cups which are smaller than standard serving sizes. To continue, this location calls itself a 'Cider Bar', but they're not. They had ONE cider, a standard semi-sweet cider...one, not a 'bar's worth'. If you like wine, this may be the place for you, but if you're after food or a crisp Cider, this isn't where you want to go. Thanks for having us, but I'll more than likely never return.
Jim Phillips: Fun but not my favorite wine.
