I had to gas fireplaces installed and my existing chimney repaired.About a month later after having plumbers out to install a gas shutoff I was informed of a gas leak.The plumbers assured us that it was in the fireplace assembly. Robert Poulos: We had a great experience with Sleep Easy. Following some interior remodel work, we discovered a leak in our chimney (small amounts of water running into the home). Another company came out and charge us nearly double what Sleep Easy charges for an inspection and quoted us over $8000 for exterior repairs/replacements and tell us our chimney was not safe for use until another $10,000 or so would be spent on interior repairs, we contacted Sleep Easy. The inspection was timely, courteous, and informational. Sleep Easy's technician was very apologetic when he told us our chimney was completely functional and no interior work was needed, and recommended an repair and sealing for less than a quarter of what the other company had quoted. We couldn't help but laugh, and booked them to make the repairs within the hour. The repair went smoothly, the price was what they quoted, and even when their ladder blew over during a break and took a piece of our gutter with them, they repaired the damage perfectly and without question (even matching our custom paint). This year they were incompetent in their diagnosis and never bothered to call back, just left me hanging. Long story short...new competent service pulled out 50 lbs. of the glass that forms with wood inserts. Could have burned our house down. Clutter service said the steel sleeve had burned through and he could not clean it. Just lazy. The sleeve was not burned through it was just years of inadequate cleaning. Then a couple of months later my husband called Rich to come by and look at fixing the fireplace door and getting a quote on possibly putting an insert in. Rich said he would give him a quote the next day, two weeks go by and nothing. My husband kept texting and no response. Then my husband booked Rich for a fireplace cleaning and set an appointment. Ryan Martinez: Contacted the Chimney Medic for a leak in my chimney. Came on time and was very nice. They told me it looked like I would need some tar, caulking and fill the crown on top. Preform the work that same day and side it should be all set and if I had a problem to call him back. The next time it rained the leak was in the same spot. I called them back and they said they would come back to look at it again. The next day they came back and said they put more caulk should be fine.
