After my first birth experience wasn’t anything like I hoped, I made the decision to hire a doula to rewrite the storyline for my second birth. Choosing Sarah to be that person was the best decision I could have made; she was such a vital piece to helping me achieve a redeeming VBAC birth. She has such vast, specialized knowledge for this field that makes her beyond qualified for the job. More importantly, she knows how to apply that education to her clients’ unique situation and tailor it to best suit each individual mama. From the education she armed me with while I was pregnant, to her always accessible support via email or texts, I felt well equip for birth with her by my side. She came to the hospital the night of my foley bulb induction and got us settled for the evening. Mid-morning the next day when the foley came out and I texted her saying I was 6cm, she was quick to arrive back. During EVERY contraction, she was there squeezing my hips helping me ride it out. She suggested new positions to do and new techniques to try during that time. She made sure my birth plan was honored by everyone. She was my advocate. She stood by my side for the 3 hours I pushed, helping me and encouraging me. I truly believe if not for her, I would not have gotten my VBAC! I am forever grateful for everything she did and will hire her again for my next pregnancy without any hesitation!

I also really enjoyed the prenatal yoga classes! Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions she could not come with me to the labor and delivery room but she came with me to the hospital all the way until she couldn’t go any farther, all in the middle of the night. She helped me through labor in my home as well up until it was time to go. She knew all kinds of techniques to help relieve discomfort and facilitate labor and taught them to my husband so he could help in the hospital. I had a great birth experience with her and I can’t wait to hire her again!

Christina K: I moved from out of state and needed an IUD replacement, so I reached out to this clinic due to proximity and positive reviews.Although all I needed was an IUD that is a year overdue for a removal, I was told I’d have to have an exam first, and then have a follow up for the BC. And that the wait was 2 months to get in. They were very nice on the phone. Annoyed that I can’t just get a new IUD on the day of my first exam, but I it’s been hard to find an appointment anywhere so I agree. She reminds me to fill out the patient form or my appointment will be canceled, so I later make sure to go online and fill them out.Two months later, I call to make sure of my appointment time a week ahead of time. Still polite and friendly. They confirm the time, and I say thanks.After I arrive, the person at the front desk tells me I am “unfortunately 3 minutes late” (I was in line at the desk behind other people). And that my appointment has been cancelled because I failed to complete a “patient history form.”Sure that I had, I learned that the “patient form” I had already filled out online isn’t the same as the one I needed to fill out. And I can’t get a new appointment for another two months.The desk person says she emailed me the forms “five time” just now (not sure why), but it is still not showing up even when I search for the sender address. I find it in my junk folder, which explains why I didn’t see the email earlier.I fill out the forms online at the office so I can make sure I have it done, and many of the questions don’t apply (nothing about needing birth control in the “why are you making this appointment “) or are strangely personal (“do you wear sunblock regularly” or “do you have problems with your children”).I’m upset about the hoops people have to jump through to get access to birth control. It’s confusing and I’m treated like I am at fault for not being more responsible.I can deal with mistakes and miscommunications but the overly complicated process of becoming a new patient in addition to the long wait between appointments is responsible for the two star review.
