Elliot Olson: Dutzel’s Catering did an AMAZING JOB at our wedding in March of 2022! We were scrambling to find a reliable caterer with delicious food who could provide vegan options. Our wedding planner recommended Dutzel’s, and it was one of my favorite parts of our day!At our tasting, not only was I blown away by how delicious the food was, I was also in awe of KT. KT is so organized, helpful, funny, kind, and passionate about what they do. Every question I asked was met with a smile and enthusiasm and a perfect answer.KT did a month out call with me and it was amazing to get to walk through the food for the evening, plan exactly what I wanted the tables and buffet to look like, and know that KT and the Dutzel’s team has our back and would make our event perfect.On the day of the event, the Dutzel’s team did so amazing. I have heard from multiple guests that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. Several people asked me if there was a restaurant where they could go have more! The corn was a HUGE hit and I am so excited to have a little left over. KT personally made my husband and I huge plates of food to eat during cocktail hour, and I believe that it was because of KT that I didn’t feel too drunk by the end of the evening because they kept me fed!We did a late night tater tot snack, and the snack was perfectly hot and crispy, and a huge hit. I only wish I had eaten more myself!I am actively searching my brain for more events I can host so I can eat Dutzel’s food more and get to hang out with KT again. DEFINITELY choose them if you want to have a wedding or event where guests talk about your food for weeks and months to come!
Wyatt Rasmussen: Our wedding was catered by Dutzel's and everything was delicious. They were very professional since our first contact with them. During the tasting, we were allowed to try different appetizers, entrees, and dessert bars and ultimately decide which ones we wanted to go with for our big day. KT was a huge help in making sure everything was to our liking in the process of planning by answering any questions we had and working with us as we got closer to the day. Jeff was there on our day to serve and make sure everything went perfectly. In the end, we were able to donate leftovers to the local fire house (not that there was much left!). Overall, we loved having Dutzel's cater our wedding and would highly recommend to others!
Rachael Redler: Wonderful! The food was delicious and beautifully displayed. They offer compostable plates and forks, etc, too! It was all a huge hit with our event guests. Reasonably priced, excellent to work with, and outstanding product.
Chad Bruton: Jeff, KT, and the rest of the Dutzel team did a great job catering our wedding reception. We hosted a cocktail styled reception with heavy hors d'oeuvres. The food was delicious, beautifully presented in buffet style, and plentiful. The team made sure that our table was always full and our guests did not go away hungry! They were awesome to work with and selected items that met our preferences and budget while also capturing the elevated taste profile we wanted! They also assisted with our linen's for the event which was considerably more cost effective and less hassle than using other linen vendors. Additionally, Dutzel catering is a gay-ally vendors which was important to us as a couple. I highly recommend Dutzel Catering!
Joymarie Hembree: I cannot recommend Dutzels Catering enough! Their staff is incredible to work with as they care about their work, and the community as a whole. My agency used them for a gala we had back in October. The tasting was by far the best one I have been too, and some how— the food ended up being even better at our actual event!

Victoria Alvarez: My husband & I recently got married in October 2022 and used Dutzels for our wedding and absolutely loved it! We got so many compliments from our guests about the appetizer selections and the dinner as a whole. We had an intimate wedding of 45 people and there was more than enough food to go around for everyone to enjoy. The process of booking a food vendor in 2021 was insane — as a bride I was having trouble getting places to respond or meet with me. But Katie at Dutzel’s answered me quickly and efficiently after my inquiry and continued to provide that level of excellent service throughout the entire process. It was wonderful to work with her, and even more so to have her at the wedding for a full circle moment! We are forever grateful to Katie and the Dutzel’s team and highly recommend them for your wedding & event needs!
A: I can't give a higher review for KT, Nick, Shirley, Skye, and the entire team at Dutzel's Catering! Our nonprofit has had two events with them so far, and the prices are reasonable, and the food is next-level amazing!! KT is extremely detail-oriented and hands-on, and they work hard to make sure that each menu is perfect for the occasion. Plus, everyone is very professional and nice. We just had an event with them last week, which is an annual event for our organization. Everyone agreed it was the best food we've ever had for that event! The event in September had a Tex-Mex theme, and not only was the food amazing, but the aesthetic and the small details put it over the top. Our oven broke unexpectedly, but they rolled with it and were very graceful under pressure and still pulled everything off beautifully. Again, can't give a higher review!
Tina Jane Rojas: We hired Dutzel's for a run of show in the middle of the woods and they did an absolutely outstanding job preparing and delivering hot food to our hard working crew. The food was absolutely delicious and we will continue to work with this company time and time again. Grateful that they exist!! Nobody like them :)

She always went out of her way to make things happen for us and always did things in a timely fashion.We had a full spread for appetizers and dinner. All of our guests raved about the food, especially the loaded mashed potatoes and the Buffalo tortellini! I was a big fan of the herbed Chicken and had lots of compliments on the lemon pepper salmon.I would definitely recommend having Dutzel’s cater your wedding. After talking with their team, we knew they would be a great asset to our wedding. We were able to rent a few additional items to round out our place settings and it was so convenient to know that this was all being taken care of by one vendor. Mary Jean Billingsley: I was looking for a caterer for my son's wedding, found Dutzel's Catering on line and talked with Katie McCalla. She invited me to a group tasting that cost $!5 per person and the fee went toward the contract if we chose to hire them. The tasting was a buffet in a similar set up we wanted for the wedding. The food was delicious. The bride and groom chose the menu and we committed to a contract that day. Katie was especially helpful with answering my many questions and keeping in close contact up through the event. She ensured at every step that we were getting the meal we expected. Many guests complimented us on the food and asked for the Dutzel's contact information. I recommend Dutzel's highly for their delicious food and excellent service at my son's wedding. I would hire them again for other events!

Kelsey Carpenter: We discovered Dutzel’s through the KCPWG wedding convention. We had a tasting with Dutzel’s (highly recommend doing a tasting!) and we tried their buffalo tortellini, pasta, and BBQ, and immediately knew they had to be our catering vendor! :-) Everything we tried was delicious, but the buffalo tortellini was the best!Katie, with Dutzel’s, was highly communicative, helpful, and kind! Our final vendor meeting with her was so smooth! We were very impressed with the level of service and professionalism they provided to us and our guests during the wedding! Callie Hall: From the start of our wedding we had the hardest time deciding what we wanted to have for dinner, yummy favorites let us try almost everything on their menu. As soon as we tried the chicken parmesan we fell IN LOVE! We have never had anything so delicious, it was the best chicken parmesan we have ever tasted. We had so many compliments on the food and how delicious it was. We had the meatballs during cocktail hour and that was the biggest hit of the night, they are the best meatballs we have ever had! As I am writing this I wish I could go back and eat more! We were pretty early on our timeline, they worked with us and made the food come out earlier than planned, it was so wonderful that they were able to work so hard and fast to get everyone fed. The buffet line went quickly and moved along so nicely! Thank you for all your hard work and all the wonderful food, everything was absolutely perfect!
Brooke Peer: Teri’s business catered my wedding and I was BLOWN away. We ordered the pulled pork, chicken Parmesan, green beans, potato casserole and salad. I didn’t even realize how hungry I was until I was brought a plate with everything on it. And I literally ate the entire plate. My fiancé is picky about pulled pork and he agreed everything was amazing. Definitely recommend!!! 10/10!!!!

Terri came up with an amazing menu that wasn't just your standard continental breakfast and worked well for the amount of guests we had. Everyone raved about the food and service! Colin Peck: We used Hy-Vee catering for our wedding dinner. They helped us put together a menu and did a tasting with us. They were especially good about meeting a number of different dietary needs including, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free. They delivered to our venue without any issues, setup, and took down everything for the dinner. The food that we had was great and they helped us have a wonderful wedding. We specifically worked with Steve who was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend Hy-Vee catering!

Miranda Putney: Our meal was delicious, smoked turkey, and pit beans. Plus, fried corn bites. And coffee. Mmm. The appetizer portions were large - nobody finished their entree, but that maybe because I pulled a chunk of tooth out of my mouth mid-meal and turned everyone off. It had nothing to do with the food. My teeth are just dissolving. Anyway, my husband and I split a platter for lunch, which turned out to be plenty of food after apps and everything.

Jessica P: Family Gathering meal for 2 was not the best 😕 😞 We got the brisket, pulled pork, chicken, and ribs. We'll our chicken ended up being ham and when we told our waitress she tried to argue with us saying it was sausage, which was incorrect, but she ended up getting it for us. But came back with oh yeah I checked it you did order that my bad, like she didn't believe us it was supposed to be chicken. She was very short with us and seemed irritated the whole time. We were a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 younger kids) so we shared this meal cuz we weren't that hungry and spent all day visiting our mother in the hospital down the road. Also the meat had no flavor and very dry/rubbery. The sides were delicious though. We just kept that to ourselves at that point cuz how she was acting towards us. She seemed disgusted that we were sharing a "big meal". Also this Family Gathering is more of a sampler not much portion to it at all, so it's a good thing we weren't that hungry.
Paulie Keener: Holy cow! Got the burnt ends platter and was shocked by the size of it. Most times getting a lot of meat is indicative of poor quality. WRONG!!! It was buttery tender, with that caramel crunch of char, and tossed in the perfect amount of bbq sauce! Then the beans and the coleslaw slaw. I LOVE coleslaw, and am VERY critical of it. So I had to to return the next day to grab two large containers to go. Excellent service as well. Don’t miss out this place rocks!

Brian Richardson: This has to be the absolute worst bbq in kcmo metro area. Wings are little like Buffalo Wild Wings but 10x money. Never coming back. Now I remember why I haven’t been back in over 10 years. No wonder Fescoe is the person you get to advertise this place. My daughter (23) literally couldn’t wait to leave.

Alex Westendorff: Got 2 sandwiches online. Picked up, 1 was fine. Meatball was disgusting. Soggy as hell, tomatoes and tons of sauce with zero cheese. Called and "manager" said she would refund it but needed the card brought in. Did that and then they refused and offered a new one at a discount. What a joke. Will NEVER be back.
mariah smith: I was a regular customer there until they messed up my sandwich then offered to replace it and then took back the offer and tried to change it with a discount instead. Very disappointed and I guess I will just have to start going to Subway down the street instead.

americancamper 21: We ordered 2 whole penny clubs and 2 large red cream sodas. (The best soda bar none) food was great as usual. Haven't had a bad sub yet and I have gone here for years.Only issue i had was being over charged then not realizing until I made it home. I ordered 2 whole subs and 2 drinks. I was also charged extra to "make them combos" I didn't get chips or anything that made them such nor did I ask for any. So you can see i was charged "make it a combo $3.59" for nothing. Im going back tomorrow to see if I can get it refunded but I imagine I won't be. I will edit this review if they make it right.But food/drinks 10/10 when not being charged for nothing... lol...I'm sure you can see the response below. The only thing I have to say is it should be given back just as easily as it was taken from me. I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get my money back that you wrongfully charged me.
