John F: I visited Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City for a weekend getaway with my friends. The casino is located just east of downtown Kansas City and has a few entertainment options. The casino floor is one of the largest in Missouri and has a variety of games, such as slots, video poker, table games, and live poker. The hotel is comfortable, with spacious rooms and amenities. However, I was disappointed by some aspects of the casino. The atmosphere was not as lively as I remembered from the old days. The casino seemed to lack the energy and excitement that I was looking for. The buffet, which used to be one of my favorite places to eat, was permanently closed. The other dining venues were decent, but nothing to write home about. I also felt that the staff was not very friendly or attentive. They seemed to be bored or annoyed by the customers. Overall, I had a mixed experience at Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City. It was not a bad place to visit, but it did not live up to my expectations.

Aaren Johnson: The room was absolutely perfect. Very clean and spacious. Beds were just perfect, not too hard or soft. You couldn't hear anyone in the hallways.The only issue is that the TV guide part didn't show what was playing, and you had to flip Channels to see what was on. The little coffee pot wasn't working, and I looked and saw the tubing was disconnected. Once I fixed it, the pot worked. The vending machine was completely empty of drinks, which was a slight disappointment for our daughter.We were on the 8th floor backside, so we didn't have a beautiful view from our window.Liked the online check-in and check-out option. Getting the keys was a bit of a wait while the staff member was busy answering tons of questions from the person checking in since only 1 staff member was at the desk, at least till a line started.If you plan to visit the casino part, plan to walk a bit.There were lots of restaurants, but hours on some were limited.The husband said we definitely come back and stay here next time we visit family again.
