Marcus Pratt: The for sale box of ammunition I wanted to purchase was not marked with the price, forcing me to buy a more expensive box that I really could not afford. It was only after I purchased my ammunition that a salesman put the correct price on the ammunition. When I brought this to their attention, they inform me that I would have to go up to the refund counter and go through the whole process of getting a refund and then purchasing the ammunition that was on sale! I felt that they could have easily avoided this by simply advising me of the sales price in the first place. Normally I have very good purchasing experiences with Bass pro, but this time I was a little inconvenienced with the purchase in this particular case.

Michael Woodard: Put a lot of trust in Dons advice. Really steered us down the wrong path for the fishing tournament. Out of hundreds of dollars in possibly the worst bass lures ever recommended. The fish absolutely hated the color schemes that don swore by. Kinda thinking he just made it all up.

Sara Beth Prideaux: If you are a woman who is looking for hiking gear and/or shoes do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. The women's clothing section doesn't offer any real attire fit for doing any serious hiking yet the men's section does. I went to try on hiking boots and Bass Pro apparently does not cater to wide sized feet. Bass Pro definitely needs to step up their game.
Tim Smith: Check out was very slow. There was only one person ahead of me and it took 10 minutes to get through the line. The cashier seemed very interested in chatting with the lady ahead of me. The customer service area had 2 people standing around doing nothing. I understand customer service representatives are not allowed to take customers money for purchase. The credit card reader is an older slower version that keeps popping up messages to leave your card in the reader. These machines need to be updated.

Jason Gibson: I ordered online for instore pickup. It would have been faster for me to come in myself. While I am always satisfied with the selection, there is always a lot of people around, but onky a few allowed to work customer service.
Shea R.: Had the best customer service at the gun counter with Mike! We came in close to closing time and he helped us right away, didn’t rush us and answered all the questions we had. Walked away with a great handgun & a happy experience. We will definitely be back! Go ask for Mike!

Sara LaMastres: I have been visiting this Bass Pro since I was a child. I have many memories here and I'm glad I get to make memories with my children here too! My son and I visited the other day and he loves to see the animals. The store is always clean and well organized and the animals are obviously well taken care of! I just wish the restaurant was still open. The food was great and again, great memories there! Hopefully it comes back in the future!

sm ss: Showed up with 8 minutes before closing. When. I walked in the staff said we close at 8. I said that's cool not going to be very long I just need EMS pants. The woman working was very rude and mouthed about closing and needing pants. I left and will not return!
Michael Dolan: Interesting store. Going in, it seemed like most stores you would see at the mall. Loud pop music, clothes, and accessories, But then you notice the tactical gear, gun cases, bug out bags, ect.. Some items were reasonably priced, but others were wildly overpriced. Definitely worth a second look.
R R: Two stars for cool stuff but only the Rich Elite can afford to shop here especially during inflation! Everything including the clothes are all the store brand but come on $80 for a store brand shirt made in Veitnam, really! One OTF knife cost $400 , really! Overall Kool stuff that nobody can afford , this store must think independence Mo is Rodeo drive LA! Nothing in this store is reasonable!

Zac Holmes: Stopped in there with a couple oddball questions fully expecting to be on my own in figuring out the answers and was completely shocked. The Assistant manager Angel was an expert on their gear, the history of the company and was able to help me find exactly what I needed! I have frequently had issues with service at the St Louis stores and was blown away with the one on one service, expertise and advice that their associates had to offer. Matt was very helpful and knowledgeable as well. I can not say enough good things about them and their store!

Whether you need bows, guns, ammo, golf, shoes, Sports clothing, bicycles and more. This is a good place to go for a nice quality. It is clean and organized.

T L: If you need it for a sport, this place has it. They've had everything we've needed for wrestling, football, soccer, and 5ks. We were even able to score a trampoline during the pandemic while all other stores were out of stock. It's a bit of a drive for us for but this is the place we know will have what we need when local stores do not.

Megan Abundis: Easy adventure! I rented the 2 person camping bundle, and the equipment was in pristine condition. Everything was easy to use and high quality. I would definitely rent again. Perfect for first time campers or the established camper that wants a no brainer ensured good time!

Kellie Beargie: LOVED working with Waldo Outfitters! Went on my first camping trip since my time as a Girl Scout with their gear and everything went amazingly well. Our first night in camp saw a huge storm, with about 40% of our campers having issues with collapsed/flooded tents, snapped tent poles, and one portable canopy that went through the back window of an SUV. I had no idea any of this was happening. I stayed snug and dry in their gear; not a drop of water got into the tent. I was comfortable and warm with their gear. Brad is a fantastic resource, answering any questions I had and sharing tips. I'd give them more stars if I could!
Tyler Hudspeth: I used Waldo Outfitters to rent a tent and had a great experience. We got a 4 person tent for the weekend and it worked great. Pickup and dropoff was very easy, the owner was easy to communicate with, and reasonably priced. I would use them again in the future.

Garrett Cotten: Your one stop shop for camping, survival, emergency supply, you name it. They even have a local dehydrated meal supplier that's better than the big name companies. On top of that the woman running the store is just awesome. Stop in and check them out.

Clay: Amazing customer service and promptness. I drove 2.5 hours to pick up an online order, which they confirmed was in-stock beforehand. The drive ended up paying for itself and some because of the large discounts. 👌
Brad Dieckmann: I just wanted to give academy sports a shout out for going above and beyond. I had an incident with my Methican American neighbors and the Belton PD took my gun from me. Once the prosecutor saw the video, I was absolved of the accusations and was told to come get my gun. Well, turns out I needed a receipt from when and where I bought it... Enter Academy sports. The manager made me up a document sufficient to retrieve my firearm from the police property room. Thank you to that manager for helping me out. Great store. Good people. I highly recommend... Saved me a lot of money by helping me out.
