Heather Keitges: Old hag was more concerned with smoking her cigs than being friendly when she scream at me through the outside door ‘what do ya want?’ And don’t bother bringing in a digital camera…cuz ‘he only works on film and is backed up several months’ she screeches at me…🙄
HawklordLI: Better wear a mask or the old hag that answers the door will have a hissy fit, despite the fact that it's been proven repeatedly that masks are useless.
Ryan Yarnell: Had to call and check on my camera after a month. Said they didn't get around to calling me. They did get it fixed in a few days after that though. Went to pick it up on a Saturday and the person that answered the door was not friendly and didn't know how to even find my camera. I had to go in and find it myself the person threw a fit about me not having a mask. I would have just stayed out in the hallway if they could have found my camera themselves.
Dave Elliott: I have taken all my film cameras to Dereninger for literally decades and have never been disappointed. They are precise, professional and prompt. I wouldn’t take my film cameras anywhere else.

Catalina Fallis: I left my Olympus OM-1 camera with Archie on July 9th and picked it up September 10th. I think that is fast! I would say this sort of repair is not as common anymore and finding someone who can repair these film camera's is hard nowadays. I recommend if you bring your camera here, to ask for an estimate for when the repair will be done that way you aren't disappointed or angry. He is very busy, and works on a lot of cameras. I wouldn't go in expecting repair done in a few days. It isn't realistic! I am so happy with the repair he completed on my camera. Looking through the viewfinder it is completely new looking! It is my first camera, and he was very nice to me when I brought it in. He looked over everything on the camera. Thank you so much!

The woman who answered the phone was annoyed and after I explained to her what my issue was she told me to just send it back to where I got it. Cameron Peleowo: My dad's old film camera had a bit of dirt which was causing the problem. He could have claimed any number of problems and charged me any amount. He didn't charge me, he showed my daughter how to load it, set the speed, and made sure we had a manual which we did. Very honest and helpful.
Doug B: Archie at Dereninger Repair has done some film camera work for me and I was pleased. The work was quality and exceeded expectations. That also means he took an exceptionally long time to do it. However a full repair and calibration, plus lens cleaning and repair cost me $50. Shipping it somewhere and back would've cost that much. So if you have an old film camera and a few months to spare, Dereninger is a good way to go.Archie the repairman is there Tues-Sat after 2pm. You have to knock on the door and be patient, he is a busy old man.
Mike Shaw: Extremely knowledgeable about film cameras. I had a few questions about a Minolta SRT 101 that I recently bought--Arch was able to help me. The camera came with a lens that wasn't working and he quoted me a very reasonable price for repair and gave me an excellent deal on another lens to use while the other is being repaired!
Terri Morrow: I would not recommend. First they do not clean digital cameras so don't waste your time for that. I called to see if they did and for a derisive laughter from the lady who answered the phone and she said "ain't nobody does that anymore except maybe the factory". I found her rude.
