Pioneer Trails Adventures: what do users think?
- Fins: This was a fun experience with history we didn't know about. Definitely enjoyed it.
Debra Caroline: Wonderful wagon tour of the downtown Independence area. The Mule driver is also a great historian and shares wonderful details about the history of the area.
Kim Walker: They were so nice and the museum was really good with some much history. We really enjoyed it.
Trish Leigh: It's kids friendly and makes people smile 😃
Brenda Noland: Mule Skinner was very entertaining and we learned a lot about the history and why the various areas of the square could be haunted. Also hear some interesting ghost stories!
Kim Manis: This tour was amazing. Nice wagon ride while visiting some of the historic parts of Independence and hearing of past events. Great tour guide as well. He was very animated and dressed the part.
Michael Touw: Took this tour today as part of our official start to driving the Oregon Trail. It was just the 4 of us and we had a fantastic time. Learned a lot, great guy, great story teller, well worth the money! We started off with one of the shorter tours but we’re enjoying it so much we ended up extending the tour. Highly recommend.
Mary C: LOVED IT
Eric Green: Had the pleasure of attending a ride along with Ralph and his mules Harry A. and Ed. I had originally booked a shorter tour but was offered a longer tour due to a mix up. Ralph was a wonderful tour guide explaining Independence history is great detail. I enjoyed learning about President Harry Truman and Bess, Civil War Battles, generals, and the many elements associated with the War, the conflict between Missouri and Kansas, the Outlaws Frank and Jesse James, and the 1000s of wagon trains heading West. The tour was amazing zigzagging throughout the downtown streets in a covered wagon. It is certainly worth hearing about the rich history contained within Independence with a fine storyteller.
Mike Hogan: Not much to see that you couldn't get from a trail map
Ralph Goldsmith: Great time
Troy Hartwig: Ralph's storytelling was engaging and entertaining. It was very interesting to hear his telling of the history of James Frank, Quantrel and other historic figures important to the area.
Bryan Summers: Surprised the kids with a tour. Lived here for 34 yrs and learned so much about my home town. The gentleman was very entertaining and included all of us. Kids and wife were grinning ear to ear. Wish I would have done this many years ago!
Dea Hoover: Excellent history and authentic experience. Directly across from the Bingham-Waggoner Estate. Both are very worth your time when you are in Kansas City.
Barbara Collins: Great experience, going back.
Kay Schwenk: We were looking for some type of haunted tour for this Halloween, which didn't cost an arm and a leg. Discovered this tour on Facebook, and the cost was reasonable. We had a great time learning about the extensive history which our guide presented, in addition to the fun of the wagon/carriage ride on an eerie October evening. If you go when the weather is cooler, be sure to take an extra blanket to keep warm. We so enjoyed this tour that we want to take the 90 minute tour of Independence when the weather is warmer. If you enjoy being outdoors, and you want to learn about the history of Independence, we highly recommend this tour!!!
Sabrina Harrington: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueThis wasn't just a haunted trail ride, but a fascinating history lesson in the independence historic area. The driver/ tour guide was so fun. My family will definitely be doing more tours!
Vera Maggard: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueWe had the best time today. Ralph is not only extremely knowledgeable but so personable as well. We learned so much and had a great time too. I highly recommend this tour! The covered wagon added to the fun.
Kelli Hubbard-Parker: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueThis is such a fun, unique and informative adventure! My fiancé, Justin, and I truly enjoyed this. We chose the 1.5 hour tour. Highly recommend.
John Prince: Great ride.
Scott DeLong: Positive:QualityThe man who runs this business is a walking history book! He knows so many fascinating stories from the past and really can bring it all to life! Excellent way to engage kids in history!

Take your family, grandparents and all you know to this jewel of a city in the Midwest. See Lori you won’t regret it. Happy Customers, Cathy A, New Jersey.
Dave Towne: My son and I took the last tour of the 2022 season. Guide Lori is incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the fountains in the Seville Country Club Plaza, in Kansas City, MO. She brings fountains to 'life' by explaining many of the unknown or unseen details. Taking her walking tour is a neat & fun way to learn more about these historic fountains.
John Williams: Amazing time. Learned a lot. Tour guide was friendly and patient. Thanks
Chelcie N: Top notch tourista!! She's a blast! Lively fun and super knowledgeable about KCs finest fountains! You can see she's truly passionate about her work! That's so exciting to see! Lori is so much fun to be around and she knows so much not just about the fountains, but the history of KC as well. It's a great way to see the city in a way you normally wouldn't, and will definitely make great memories!

Thanks KC Fountain Tours!

AnnMarie Creedon: This tour was so much fun! Lori's bubbly personality makes it super special. She is so incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about Kansas City and its fountains. We loved all of the interesting back stories she shared about the fountains. We wound up booking this tour as part of an anniversary weekend away. We started with the tour, then had an early dinner at Chaz on the Plaza, then ended the evening with a couple hours at the Nelson-Atkins. The fountain tour was the perfect start to an extraordinary day. We're going to keep this in mind for when out-of-town guests come to stay. We think it would be a great activity for family and friends. Highly recommend!
Christina Howard: Loved going on this tour, totally worth it to hear the history of this beautiful city!!

Christina Moss: Great tour. I can't remember our tour guides name (maybe Karen, Kathy? ) but she shared a lot of Kansas City history in a jolly way.
Tyler Osborne: While timing was off on my part and I didn't actually get to take one of their tours, the person I talked to on the phone was extremely friendly. I'm giving these guys 5 stars based on service alone. I really hope to attend one of their tours in the future
Kayla Ballantyne: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,QualityVery accommodating & easy to work with, especially during this pandemic! I booked them for my sisters bachelorette party and we all had a blast! The limo fit all 20 girls and they provided snacks and water. The limo driver went above and beyond for us! Amazing service! The limo was clean and had lots of good snacks for us girls to munch on between wineries. I definitely recommend. It was a blast!
