3 Trails Brewing: what do users think?
Kimberly Lesh: Fun atmosphere with a positive vibe. Love it when they open the doors and let in the fresh air.
Jason Frank: Really tasty beers, and the food looks really good as well. Scheme is a really special beer if you like funk, and Crimson and Cerise is a great sour beer with a nice amount of funk as well. And, they are both available in bottles.
patricia driscoll: So happy to have found this brewery in Independence MO! The beer was great, especially The Proposal (2023) and the Chocolate Blueberry Stout. Tried the Black Cherry Hard Soda and took home a Six pack. A quiet Sunday so had time to chat with the bartender Derrick, what a great guy! Best beer we've had in over six weeks on our road trip. Stop by, you won't regret it!!
John Sands: Great atmosphere, friendly staff and knowledgeable about the beers they make. Great variety of beers to try. Customer base also willing to help the new comers to the brewery. Overall fun place to be
J Lewis: Beer was good and the place was cool in a nice spot on the square. No flat bread pizza on Sunday and Monday.
Jeff Godfrey: They've removed a wall and added a stage for live music since the last time I was here - what a big improvement. Great to see people out enjoying each other and the spring weather. A great time!
Carlee Mcdaniel: Taylor and Derrick really made our experience here so amazing. Not only were they so fun but they made sure all of our needs were taken care of.
Cheyenne Lawson: This place is great! Staff is always friendly and prompt. The food is delicious. We go for the root beer, black cherry beer and cream soda beer. I do not like anything that tastes like alcohol so these are perfect for me. I highly recommend 3 Trails. We go once or twice a week.
Laura Cortner: FABULOUS! Amazing sours and largers!! Hard Sodas in cans and special collaboration brews...add this to your must stop list! Adjacent eater is perfect paired with whatever pour you choose.Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite and 1 small town at a time.Explore everything!
Mel B: We visit here at least weekly. Love the cider and the pilsner. The flying horse flatbread is a great treat for lunch or dinner. Always a friendly bartender to recommend something that's sure to become your new favorite.
michael johnson: Expensive
Tyson Bechtold: Did the pizza, and the weat coast IPA, the pils was on point, all the things you need from the style. The IPA wasn't bad either. I'll be back to further explore. Cheers 3 trails.
Sir Spazalot: I guess I am considered a regular. We go there a couple times a month. Good service and a great place for uniquely brewed drinks. We played AD&D there yesterday.. great environment for older gamers.
Judy B: Great place to mingle. Great brewed beer.
Amanda M: The bartender was nice. I love that they allow dogs inside! The beers were pretty decent.
J Berry: Taylor was the best!
Karl Mawhirter: There open tonight
Dana White: Never been treated so unfriendly and disrespectful in a public place in my life. When we walked in everyone was staring at us like we had three heads. Bartender treated my friend like trash. Don’t waste your time. We left before ordering and someone yelled out “ have a good night” We did after we left. RUDE!!!!!!
Sarah Sharp: The bartender was the most unfriendly. Brought friends who had never visited. We left without ordering anything.
Rick Newell: I wasn’t here for long. The atmosphere was good and there was live music. The brewery makes good stuff! There is lots of support for local artists.

Apex Aleworks Brewery & Taproom: what do users think?
Ashley Hunt: Always a fun time at Apex. A solid bar with a chill atmosphere, excellent service, quality beer, and a step above your average bar food. Reuben pizza is killer!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Cam F Awesome: Great venue. Live music and open mic comedy night.
TOG79: Fantastic brewery. Staff was very friendly and very chatty,. The beer was excellent and they even let me try a couple samplers to see if I liked them. Great experience for an out of towner.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
D Thomas: Great beer, good improv on fridays at 8.
Kurt Skinner: I was disappointed in the manager of ApexOrdered food and beer. They were unable to pour the beer selected. Gave us a 5oz pour instead. Charged us for full pour even after I talked to the bartender about the price. He said it would not show up on the bill. It did. Stood at the bar for several minutes waiting to have the overcharge fixed. Got tired of waiting and and asked thru the kitchen door for some help. A staff person came out to help (same guy who originally took my order) He said he was the manager. I told him what happened and he chewed me out for opening a staff only door. I asked him if the guy going around taking pics of the group was the owner. He would not answer and said he would take care of this issue. Instead of redoing the bill properly, I was given cash for the beer I did not get. All in all an unpleasant experience. Also, good thing I don’t work for Beer Advocate. Had IPA sampler. One IPA really nice (the one they couldn’t do a good pour on) two Ok, one had the bandaid taste of bad home brew. Food was good. Most reviews of Apex pretty good. Not mine.
Craig Shappell: Had a flight. I'm an ipa lover but like a good sour too (ok I'm different) had a flight with spring fling, firewalls, drunken brick and gigantic pucker. 2 ipa's, 2 sours. Drank ipa's first. YUM! Drank the sours Yum! Great flavor on all. Never had that happen with a flight before (always 1 in a flight that is like....no. but I chose them) Decided on the Drunken Brick. A Flanders red sour. Aged in oak barrels for 11 months. So smooth, and as it warmed the flavors popped. WOW. Met the owner/brewer manning the bar. So friendly, laid back tap room. KEEP UP THE OUTSTANDING WORK!Parking: This is in a shopping mall. Unlimited parkingWheelchair accessibility: No automatic door, but no stairs, so yes accessible
Laura Cortner: The conversation, beers and environment: Fabulous! You feel like a local, that's what makes it the BEST. Orgasmatron, IPA and Celebrate Summer seltzer...great! Another must stop in the KC area!Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite and 1 small town at a time. Explore everything!

East Forty Brewing: what do users think?
TOG79: Good beer and location. I was a bit put off on the 20-40 charge prior to using my card, but can understand it from a small business perspective.
Anna Page: Nice brewery. Beer much more reasonably priced than others in the metro. Staff were pleasant.
DIY_Nation_TH: #diynationth
J Fin: Great Irish Red Ale. Best chili (except for mine) you will ever have.Friday I leave a five star. Sunday I leave a ONE star. This place is filled with rude jerks in the kitchen.
Laura Cortner: The pretzels were amazing! The horseradish sauce, yum! Sunrise saision and the seltzer were my top picks, delicious! Evidently Thursday is trivia night, great crowd. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. Both indoor and outdoor seating available.Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite and 1 small town at a time. Explore everything!
Chance Byrd: East 40 is the best bar in town. Everyone's welcome, bartenders are always friendly and accommodating, beer is genuinely both unique and great tasting. What more could you ask for? When friends are in town, this is where we always take them! One of BS's finest!
Phill Johnson: 5 stars on the atmosphere and location. Totally want to support downtown Blue Springs. 3 stars on most beers as they are mediocre to average. But the make some amazing 4 star stouts!
Jody Todd: Great live music, tasty food and amazing company.
Don Garrett: Just driving through
Brandon Barnhart: Great beer, friendly staff!
Almitra B: We always love eating and having a locally brewed or sourced drink here! They have a nice selection of non alcohol drinks here, including kombucha and ginger beer too! Staff is always friendly, and the vibe is very laid back!
Dave Berg: Great beer and top notch staff!
phil humphrey: A great combination of steady menu beers with seasonal additions. Great finger food out of the kitchen. Great setting and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended.
William Menke: Would love to give a good review as the beer is good. Service on the other hand is not... The lady with the curly hair was too busy strutting around talking to one group of people while we sat there for 10 minutes waiting to get another beer and order food. The only reason she came back is someone was tabbing out and brought her a drink... Drive out to grains and taps in lee summit or wind shift if you want decent service
J Powers: I had an event in Blue Springs, Mo and needed to grab a quick bite to eat. Someone pointed us in the direction of East 40 Brewing. The bar atmosphere is nice and they have a huge selection of craft beers to choose from. For beers I ordered the Saison and my wife ordered the pumpkin spice. We also ordered the nachos for an appetizer. To be honest the Saison tasted like bubble gum and the Pumpkin Spice beer tasted like a mouth full of cinnamon. The nachos were stale chips with minimal toppings and a glob of sour cream. I was somewhat let down on every item I ordered here. Beer was undrinkable and the nachos were only eaten because I was starving, otherwise I would have trashed them both and left. Kinda let down.
Amy Wilkinson: One of our favorite places! Great food & drinks. Husband & I love their beer. Our kids love the non-alcoholic drinks--kombucha & root beer made in house! Pretzels & dip are a family favorite. I love that E40 supports small family farm meats. Chicken sandwich, sausage nachos & beer cheese soup are my favorite. Trivia nights & live music are a bonus. Great people & atmosphere.
Rod D: Atmosphere is great, the live music is always quality, and this place is local, what more could you ask for.
Amber Ambrusko: Be cautious of the bar tenders. I was there for happy hour and ordered drinks and instead of the bar tender giving me the happy hour 1oz price $3 he gave me 1.5 Oz price $5. I was told it's the customers responsibility to specify the order. Food is not good either. First time here and we won't be back.
Andrew Smith: Great vibe and great beer!
Dennis Matl: Good selection and variety of beers. Service was quick and friendly. Plenty of seating.
John Mcnay: Beer was good, pizza not so much, suspect it is a frozen crust....

Wind Shift Brewing: what do users think?
Ashley Fowler: Yummy beer and super amazing people! The book blind dates are so much fun!
TOG79: Kind of a hole in the wall bar. Good beer, Staff could have been a bit friendlier.
Clara Murphy: Beer was great! Pizza was delicious! Service was wonderful! Highly recommend stopping in!
Joe DeYaeghere: Great atmosphere beer and pizza!
Daniel Marcinkowski: It was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend visiting it!
Frank Bandelow: Good beer, easy going, regular
Laura Cortner: Excellent customer service. Love the venue. Great outside space and cozy inside. Sours, IPA's and guest taps....something for everyone! Pub ale gets my vote for a pop it open at the end of a day and sit in a rocking chair and chill. Smoked lime, great goodness, and solar IPA..shut the door! They have food, but didn't have a chance to try...it looks amazing though!
Stacey Lynn: A cozy brewery in Blue Springs with friendly staff. I’m glad they had cider options for this non beer drinker too! The pizza smelled good, but we had already eaten so didn’t try it. Hope to come by on a Tuesday night when they start having tacos!
Aaron Ringen: This place is a hidden gem and one off the best breweries in the KC Area. Do yourself and your taste buds a favor and visit here!!
Joey Zarrillo: Great craft beers, friendly staff, and nice no-frills food specials on certain nights.
Mike Shilko: I liked their unique offerings. All the beers we tried were good to very good. The place is a bit small and out of the way for me (northlander) We did not try the food, but the pizza looked good. Basic brewery with a bar and several tables. The smell of wort being boiled was pleasent, but I think they need a better exhaust solution for their boil kettle. It was quite humid and all the windows were wet with condensation. Amazed at the variety of beer given the small brewing area. Nicely done.
Jay Kizer: Great brewery great little brewery. Awesome bartender and local atmosphere
John Mcnay: Great beer, great company, great staff...
Brant Hansil: Glad we had time to stop in while driving across the country. We really loved the beers we tried and we were taken very good care of.
Jon Savage: Awesome selection of craft beers.
Vince: English Dark Mild is great.
Jeff Godfrey: Great beer and friendly staff.
Clark Montgomery: Awesome stout beer, great bartender ( owner. ), And met someone to converse with from NWMSU !
Aubrey Anderson: My first visit was attending a Harry Potter trivia night here. I don't drink alcohol but still found this place a very enjoyable atmosphere. It is a tight-nit community of friends, and you can feel that when you walk in. Great selection of drinks, including Polly's Soda, and I had a delicious panini sandwich 🥪 I really loved the fun color scheme - oranges, blues, and a giant chalkboard wall. So glad my friends invited me to come check it out!
Karson Wilson: Seriously don’t miss this stop. Great beer at a great price. The Porters are outstanding and their bbq pizza is delicious! Great staff, indoor and outdoor seating options. Will definitely come back!
Basil Moulds: Amazing people. Beer was even better

The Big Rip Brewing Company: what do users think?
Jonathan Dine: Walked in at 8pm and walked up to the bar. The bartender told me to come to the other side and order. Ok don't understand why I need to move 3 feet to order. Then he rudely told me and my party of three. One and done. Excuse me? Why are you telling me how many drinks I can order? My wife was about to order and I told him I would rather take my business elsewhere where it's appreciated. We went to cinder block brewery instead. This was the fat Tuesday party that was advertised to close at 9.
Mitch Howe: Dog-friendly patio
Angela Dvorak: Love this brewery. The best Heffe in KC!
Samanatha Olson: Favorite brewery when visiting KC! Patio is amazing service is always 5 stars and beer is so well done.
Roxy 7.0: Ran out of glasses that they advertised within 5 minutes of opening. My problem was all the people they were allowing to cut in line and get glasses for people lined up behind others. I guess they favor their friends. Not missing out though. Go to Boulevard and get much better service and beer.
Neatha Snyder: Love this brewery, always a good time and always good beer, ask for the velvet Elvis
Aaron Grinnell: I absolutely love everyone I met at the Big Rip Brewing Company! I had a great time attending their fundraiser for Midwest Access Coalition. Great Energy! Great People! Great Brew!
Ruthie Becker: Truly enjoyed our evening at The Big Rip. The brews were delicious and having live music just adds a special touch. Thank you Jessica Bloom and Eddie Dorsey for a grand time !!
aDrunkSwinub: Hidden gem here! Awesome beers! Their scotch is amazing if you like those! Have their own parking lot (always a bonus!) Looking forward to visit again!
Jared Gallamore: Great brewery. Ask for the Velvet Elvis (vanilla cream & brown ale). You won't be disappointed. Support local!
Cristina Hernandez: Good beer, cool decor, little bit off the usual brewery/bar/distillery scene. Had a patio that is dog friendly. Don't know if it was an off night but we were here 35 min before closing and they didn't seem happy about it, we closed our tabs when we ordered a beer each and just wanted to eat our food. Had our jackets on and getting ready to head out the bartender told us to go home 8 min before closing, not a "hey we're closing soon, a straight up "you need to leave". So we did straight away. It was a slow night and we were the only people there so I'm sure they wanted to clean up and get out, understand for sure. But just a weird vibe, def not the caliber of customer service typical of KC breweries.
Anne Stiles: Nice little place good beers! I ove that there are food options here now.
John Sands: Good selection of beer and good service
Nicholas Kolnik: Good beer. Chill atmosphere! You can order food from next door.
MJ Pratt: I really, really enjoyed the "Details Later." It was light, crisp, refreshing without being overly sweet or tart. Will definitely be back.
D B: I’m not even a beer guy and this place always manages to surprise me in a great way.Their brews are delicious. They always have great service, and I’ve always had an all-around great time whenever I go there.I’m happy that this place survived the pandemic. Cheers to the Big Rip 🍻
Andy Huss: Beer here is fantastic. Wide variety, something for all. Friendly staff and nice patio.
Dana K: Great service, Beer, and atmosphere
Dakota Cole: Absolutely fantastic atmosphere! Amazing beer! Wonderful staff!
Sean Moorman: All around good beer with several different styles to choose from. The bartenders are pretty friendly as well.
A.H. Lawrence.: Good quality beer. Recommend getting it to go. Atmosphere kind of dark and depressing.

Crane Brewing: what do users think?
Luca Watson: Leslie and Guapo are the bees knees! 🐝 They are both amazing, phenomenal and need a raise if possible. They are personable and make you feel like you need to come back. After one visit this was the place to kick it anytime I could.
Owen VandeVelde: Come for the trail, stay for a beer; or just come for the beer. I can't think of many reasons to come to Raytown, but this is certainly one of the best.
Chris Seymour: Excellent place to get a beer!
Megan Mercer: Such a great space!
Jeromy Magee: Lovely little pub! Local in house beer that's has a flavor for everyone. We went on the pop up bar that was Ted Lasso themed. Had a great time. Great staff!
Brian Lamley: Yummy!!!
Mark Hamby: Crane does sours very well. In the Spring and Summer, their Berliner Weiss styles are very nice. They struggle with other styles. Even the good ones aren't true to the style. For example, the Mexican Lager I'm having now tastes like a watery wit. They're with the visit though, especially if you're biking the trail that goes right by. Crane is my local brewery, so I want them to do well. OTOH, I'm a beer aficionado, amateur brewer, and well-travelled taster so i know my beer styles. In fact, if Crane could come even close to the Berliner Weiss you can get in northern Germany with the raspberry syrup in the bottom, I'd be in here every day. ;-)
Daniel M: One of my favorite breweries in KC area. I'm a big fan of sours, especially in the summer. Crane makes several tasty sours to enjoy. It's situated right next to a biking trail and often has food trucks, though you can bring your own food. It's also dog friendly. I'm looking forward to more evenings here in the coming weeks.
Jeffrey Vermillion: Great atmosphere
Sarah Lindsey: Cute place! Food trucks made a tasty lunch and flights to try. Had the aloha slushy which was good, bought shirt and sticker. Fun! Good sour beer and IPAs.
Mind Body Shen: This is our second time here for an adult egg hunt. Super fun place to go have a few beers. Very unique flavors that change often
JP: Awesome stop on Rock Island Trail!
Ryan Hood: Beer for most palates. Menus not up-to-date. Nice enough people.
Patrick Mosiman: Friendly staff with a large variety of some very unique ales!
Ashley Fowler: Tasty beer, food truck was awesome, and super friendly staff!
Derek H: TONS of beer selections..most I had never heard of. Cute location..kind of out of the way. Had a good time. Kinda pricey.
Through Becs Specs: Located in Raytown (short drive outside of KC), you'll find an awesome, family owned brewery that offers tours, tasty drinks, food truck options, and a place to park your bicycle (right next to a trail). The beer was delicious and the tour guide was very knowledgeable & passionate. Try a slushie while you are there!
P Elmore: Awesome selection of brews, fun venue, and great tacos at Rockin Tacos!
Katie Jackson: Good beer. Hard to find and not much outdoor seating (covered) unless you go by the food truck. Umbrellas would have been nice. Weird they are all about the LGBTQ community but do not have unisex bathrooms .
Gail Pratt: Crane Brewing company is a very cool place to stop by after riding on the trail in Ray Town. We love this place!! 😁❤️
Lee Saylor: We went on Saturday so we could get the brewery tour. The beer we ordered after the tour was great. The staff was terrific. It is obviously popular with cyclists, because there was a steady stream of them coming through during our time there.
