Centerline Beach Volleyball: what do users think?
Steve Sharp: Great place. Parking is kinda short during busy periods. Leave early unless you just dropping off your child.
Kerry E: Great place to hang out and drink with friends. Staff is kind enough to let teams start and finish gameplay whenever so teams often take 20 minutes between games to grab a cold one and kick back till they are rested up and feel like playing again. The later games tend to get pushed later than scheduled because the staff wants folks to have a good time and hang out and doesn't force the schedule. Teams also make up different rules they want to play by which makes for really interesting game play, Like no net calls or every touch is good so no double hits or throws so gameplay can continue for the players that just want to hang out for a good time and not worry about subjective rules and vball skills.
Anne Stiles: Fun place to play league volleyball. I wish the sand courts had more sand seems shallow compared to others. The league fees are comparable to others.
Shawndra Nobles: We were actually there to shop the Kids closet but, I didn't even know it was there.
clay collums: Always have fun here!
Vickie Cooper: It was good, except that they need more parking spaces.
Diedre Strickland: My daughter has enjoyed the competitive league play and the sand volleyball is a blast! We took off a year but we are back!
Michael Otsubo: It is a very nice open place, with a lot of volleyball courts.
Mom Rules: The energy in the room was epic! The space was clean and plenty of seating for everyone!
Evelyn McClellan: My granddaughter plays volleyball there. It's a nice and friendly place.
Aletta Cox: Love watching our granddaughter play she is improving all the time
Richard Faris: Great indoor volleyball courts.
Betty Tonga: Awesome, Awesome. My granddaughter had wanted to play but didn't have the confidence, she did three camps cause she was learning so much and loved the coaches, Kevin was always on site to answer questions and aide in upcoming events. She is now in a league and is excited for games, I was impressed with the online communication with centerline and the coaches, thumbs up!!!
Ryan Kennedy: Fun place!
Diane Allen: Love playing here. Kevin B. runs a great tournament. Still running great tournaments but the facility seems to have much more wear and tear. It's either a smoky or misty smell that is prevalent throughout the buildings. Otherwise we love playing here.
Chelsea E: Nice facilities indoor and outdoor, good league setups...play up in youth leagues if you're competitive. Nice bar in both areas.
Roger Hall: The building serves its purpose but people traffic can interfere with games at times and the food is over priced.
Madderdaddy T: Great leagues!! Nice facility!👍👍
soraya is the best: Its so fun
Mercedes M: I love playing sand volleyball here! Great bar tenders
ryan McGrath: Indoor seating is very limited and unorganized. Parking lot can be a mess and overflowing.

Volleyball Beach: what do users think?
Sethyboy42: Sun's out, fun's out! Great environment for a drink and spike.
Max Chadliev: dangerous way to hang the nets. half the courts have foam protection on the metal wiring and half don't.
Marion St. John: Lots of fun, meeting tons of people all year around.
Andrew Megaris: Great place for sand volleyball. The food is good, and they have happy hour specials. The drinks are big and fairly priced. Smoking is allowed but generally not too bothersome for a nonsmoker.
Anthony Gee: Only place I've been to play sand volleyball in KC. Service is great and place is clean.
Mike Koren Shimak: Food was great, sand is finer than other places in town, but overall left me feeling dirtier than other courts.Drinks were expensive; ~$10 for what amounted to about an ounce and a half of liquor in a large plastic cup. While the sand was fine, the courts were not. Very inconsistent court sizes (you can see in my photo that the nets are aligned but one court is nearly 2 feet deeper than the one next to it), inconsistent net heights, and not a single tight net that I saw. Air was very stale and not moving inside the dome, but it was nice to have the option for sand volleyball in the winter.Overall I'd play in another tournament for charity here on a weekend over the winter, but I doubt I'd become a regular year round.
Kristina Heller: Its home away from home, were everybody knows your name. The sand is great and the people are greater! Value the staff.
Blanca Morenita: Es un lugar muy bonito y muy familiar y pues me pase unos momentos muy agradables aqui viendo jugar a mi familia
Faustino Vega: I really enjoy spending time there
suzy FAHRMEIER: Great atmosphere. Kid friendly. Good food.
Crystal Webster: I don't even play volleyball and I love to go chill there! Great staff, decent drinks and food, and a fun environment. Added bonus: my nephew's love to come out and dig in the sand!
Peter Burroughs: Did enjoy my time there but I wasn't there long enough I just dropped my grandson off so he can spend time with Aunt Dara. Looks like alot of fun.
Austin Talmage: This is the most amazing place I have been coming to volleyball beach for the past 7 years and I still have the same love for it ❤ ♥ ❤
Chad Mancillas (Yhoko): Great place however. We have consistently had 100+ degree days and they now don't allow you to bring WATER. They have someone at the door to force you to dump your water out. At an outdoor athletic place. They say oh you can fill it up at the fountain inside. Ok great. Warm to room temperature water. The heat exhaustion was fantastic.I'll change the review back to a 5 once they drop this ridiculous rule
SaRa Plumley: As close as you’ll get to the beach without the beach 🏝 . Very friendly atmosphere
Joshua Joo: Our favorite place! Friendly service, courts are always clean with great sand. Looking forward to playing here for a long time.
Peter Trozzolo: Great place ( FUN ) good food great staff
Cheyenne Laux: Love this Place. Great courts, great service, good food, good people and family friendly.
Pam Brant Volleyball and Sunsets: Opening day was a hit and perfect weather with the sun shining and seventy degrees here in Missouri. It may have been cut short by the tornado warnings but was a success none the less!Owner, Howard Brewing was present to ensure a smooth continuous flow of playing and kept the balls in motion throughout the day. Open for Leagues during the week and tournaments on weekends, the teams were excited to set the season off on a great note with photos and connections within the volleyball community here in KC. Providing an abundance of food and spirits to ensure a good time was had by all. This is an older set-up with history of AVP affiliations and will be a premiere place to play on the weekends. Finding a location to Opening day was a hit and perfect weather with the sun shining stay close may prove a little challenging, but worth the fun, competition, and networking!
cale quinn: Cool
Aubrey Smith: Nice place to sports

Shawnee Mission Beach Volleyball: what do users think?
Nick Carraway: Volleyball is nice and the drinks are great, but the smell from the dump is pretty bad. I missed out on sign ups for summer session, despite logging in right away when they went live, so I'm not sure how that is being managed now that the new owners took over. Pretty disappointed I won't be able to play again.
Mike Koren Shimak: Six years later and is time to amend my review to remove stars. This place has been a great escape over the years, giving us an excuse to get out with friends and get some exercise in while enjoying fantastic drinks made by the best bartenders in KC - Kyle and Calin. These two are the reason for the two stars. The new management has made some positive changes, such as revamping the food menu and putting in some much needed maintenance on the courts, but their attitude towards long standing customers has left a sour taste in my mouth. When told directly that the DJ was too loud to hear scores being called and was interfering with playing volleyball (the main point of a place with "Beach Volleyball" in the name), Danny was dismissive and rude - hardly demonstrating that he "truly cares about the customer experience" as another reviewer noted. Many other regulars agreed with the complaint, and it really put a damper on what should have been a great last night of the spring session. Even trying to hang out for an extra drink with our team after completing our games had us pushed into a corner to avoid needing to wear ear plugs.I don't know what the end goal of the new management is, but if they're trying to become a restaurant that happens to have volleyball instead of a volleyball establishment that happens to serve food, they're heading in the wrong direction. Between going deaf from the DJ on the patio and the wonderous odor from the nearby land fill (quite literally just over the hill), I fail to see how this place constitutes a GREAT place to grab dinner during the week. Unless you're coming to play volleyball, I would suggest heading somewhere else for a nice dinner out on the town.
Michael Aguilar: It used to be more of a fun place to play and socialize during league season. It's too bad new management doesn't believe in customer loyalty when it comes to leagues - squeezing out rec play for highly competitive.
Raeann Koren Shimak: I want to be very clear: Calin and Kyle are amazing people who are also amazing at their jobs. They go above and beyond when it comes to customer service, and it's abundantly clear they care about people. I would give Calin and Kyle 5 stars, if I could, but even they aren't enough to save this review. I've been playing at SMBV for nearly a decade, on numerous teams and at various skill-levels - it's been a very positive experience up until this year. Management has made several changes that have impacted our team's experience in a very negative way and, when brought to their attention, SMBV Manager Danny responded each time with astounding condescension and animosity. The most recent example of this occurred last night. Apparently a live DJ was the new addition to Thursday evenings at SMVB, and the music wasn't bad. It wasn't great that it was so loud it chased everyone off the deck, but still not terribly inconvenient, since the smell of the nearby landfill had already ruined my appetite. Things went from not great to bad when (on the furthest court possible) we found we couldn't hear each other call the ball or call out the score (arguably critical for playing volleyball). Things went from bad to worse when I went to discuss the issue with Danny... I was first told, "I don't have any control over the volume of the DJ," and then he said with great ascerbity, "that's why the pros use hand signals," and finally, "this is for YOUR enjoyment (gesturing again at the DJ)." We play Rec league - while the pros can maybe play using hand signals alone, we cannot. Which brings me to my final point: it's pretty clear that they are trying to drive away their loyal Rec league clientele in favor of some new vision. That's fine, although disappointing. What isn't fine is treating your paying customers this way. Of course, I could be wrong - maybe there isn't a new shiny version of SMBV they are striving for... That would make Danny's mis-management of his SMBV patrons even more unfortunate.
Stacey Hembruff: i want to be very clear - the two stars are for the rockstar bartenders Kyle and Kalen! They are truly the best. They remember what I like to drink, and will recommend drinks they think I will like. If I could give a review just for them, it would be 5 stars! Now on to the business - I would currently give them 0 stars. I have been on recreational teams here for at least 8 years. I always had a great experience. This year there is new ownership and things have gone steadily downhill. I feel as if they are trying to get rid of the recreational teams in favor of the more advanced teams. For the first time in 8 years we were unable to get our regular time slots - except if we wanted to play on Saturday night. Seriously, who wants to play Saturday night?! When we inquired about the possibility of getting a spot for our team (given our long-standing patronage, Danny was very short and dismissive. Now on to this week - they hired a live DJ to play on the deck. In theory a very great idea. He actually played a great range of music. However, the music was so loud that we could not sit on the deck and have dinner and talk to each other before our games. And when we went out to the courts, the music was still so loud that we could not hear each other on the court (essential for volleyball play), and definitely could not hear the other team call out the score. Again, one of our teammates approached Danny about possibly having the DJ turn down the music and he as very dismissive. We were basically told that professionals use hand signals and we should do that too. After being a patron for so long, I am just disappointed and feel that our concerns as a team have been completely dismissed. A business that treats their longtime regulars like this will only head in one direction :(.
Jobie Buehler: Great bar, environment, and an overall great place for volleyball and family fun.
Katherine Smith: Really? A $10 voucher for the championship winners? We pay $50 per player and you can’t afford a freakin t shirt? Just wondering what our money is going towards at this point. It’s definitely NOT spent on court or facilities maintenance or quality food. This place already had a loyal customer base but it seems like the new owners could not care less about what players want. I’ll continue coming to play volleyball but I won’t be spending a dime on anything else.
Frank Drake: GREAT PLACE FOR VOLLEYBALL!
David MacKay: This place features two of the best bartenders in Kansas City. Even if you're a regular volleyball player or someone passing by, make sure to stop in, and you'll receive great service and great conversation from Calin and Kyle!!
Richard O'Dell: Great place to play volleyball, just don't lose your contact lenses 🤔😝
Jason Mcintosh: Fun place to play!
Lisa: Have loved playing here in the past and hanging out here too... until new management took over. Food quality has gone downhill quickly. Prices are sky high.
Kara Mangrum: Spend a lot of time out here! Few good late night specials.
Nathan Matuza: Terrible experience lately, turning light off early. Kicking 60-100 people out. Keep the summer fun, we all look forward to spending our weekends playing volleyball and being with friends. And it has just been terrible.
Caitlin Eads: They continue to raise prices and decrease portion size. Sometimes they don't allow purses / backpacks (hello, where do I put my wallet, phone, keys and tampons) which is asinine. Depending on the day, the bartenders are usually rude. One time we won a tournament and the prizes were just magically gone - the person had gone home?
jithin jose: Plenty of courts available
Zac Albers: Great facility, nice set up for beach vball and tournaments. Short staffed, definitely couldn’t keep up with food and drink orders. They got way behind. Not really their fault but could have been managed better.
Johnny Watts: Poor, I was in a reck not volloyball…
Alexander Ockenfels: Tried to sign up for back to back hours of quads leagues, and got told the day before the leagues start that the second hour only had two teams, so they canceled that hour. Because they didn't give us any heads up until basically 24 hours before leagues started, all of their other options were full, so if we wanted to make it worth the drive and play two hours, we had to play a 4s and then 6s league. Couldn't even switch to a 6s league for both hours, and most other places around town were full by that time. Very disappointed with the lack of communication, and how they handled the situation.
Anthony Sherrill: I'm from southwest kansas . It is barren land out there. Still can't manage to formulate an idea as simple as multiple sand volleyball courts with alcohol served. Place was amazing. Sand is soft. No glass anywhere. play house place for kids to play while parents play vball. There has to be 50 courts. It was fun . Met great new people each time. Best idea to never come to Southwest Kansas.
Casey D: Volleyball tournaments here are a joke. League is also a joke. They try to do 2 tournaments in 1 day so you play 2 games to 15 and get 30 minutes per match so they can get you out in time for the next tournament. Service is not good and someone gets on the mic and just complains the entire night of league play about rules and what you can and cannot do. To play it’s expensive and it is poorly organized. You come here to play and have fun and all you do is end up walking on eggshells and have rude people around you. Which is so disappointing considering their facility is very nice, but the atmosphere is seriously lacking.

Heart of America US Volleyball: what do users think?
Liitto Jumalan: Please talk to your teams about respecting the rules of the Hotels they stay in when they travel for your tournaments! It's unbelievable how often they blatantly disregard the policies and rules Hotels have in place.
Pinball Wizard: Large Volleyball facility. Not open on a regular basis. Many weekends have teams playing competitively.
Pat Duncan: Great place for some volleyball
Kimberly Owens: not much seating, but very good courts and wifi.
PB Muels81: Plenty of knowledgeable staff on duty, Tournament went well, plenty of room. Older facility, first snowfall of the season, thought everything operated smoothly. Would like to see actual digital scoreboards up, as it is next to impossible for fans to see the score, let alone the coach's.
LJ Verm: Good facility and great staff here. The only improvements I could offer would be the court material and air conditioning. Recommended.
Marsha Rodriguez: We rented a court for practice. Very nice volleyball facility with 5 courts.
Karthik Nulu: Achha
Brad Beach: Excellent facility. It's amazing how this building has been transformed. The courts are great, the concessions are good and reasonably priced, the staff is friendly and approachable. All-around very good experience.
Ryan Dimal (Shutter Travels): Nice area. Some good courts and great place for learning.
Jen Lynn: Find another spot for tournaments if you can! There is not even CLOSE to enough space for seating. There are 2 outlets available for use (all day tourney). Courts are nice, bathrooms are adequate, but seating is a real issue. Also, the WIFI NEVER works. All weekend, no wifi.
Shannel Millard: Bathroom is pretty far from the courts. Nice facility. great tournament. we had a fun time!
Kelly Meyer: Best in the region. Facility is a little outdated (bird nests in the ceiling rafters)....not in a great location but plenty of room to play!
Dorothy Braxton: It's ok. It needs some renovations and an upgrade on the snack bar. Also, the location is hard to find at night and is not well lit
Jackie Lemmer: Older building, but there is lots of parking and room for various activities to be happenning simultaneously.
T Larson: Large volleyball center
pam m: I would expect a much, much nicer facility.
Kelly Rogers: Nice complex!
