Donald Rash: Hello everyoneSo I had a bad day at the lake anond up tearing up my motor so I started looking around and found Jamie's Machine Shop. Since I live in Independence and they are located in Independence I thought Id give them a shot. After a conversation with them the estimated price including the time line since it was dead middle boating season I went ahead with the rebuild. With the exception of being a few day past the delivery date the motor was picked up installed and used a couple weeks ago. After putting around five hours on it I decided to do a oil change and the outcome of the Im very pleased with. So long story I would recommend Jamie's and would use them again I'm a very happy customer.Service:Engine repair

Tikisha Whitley: I went up there and the man acted like he really didn't want to help me. I been there before and l explained this to the man. He acted as if I haven't been there. Like I no where I took my car to be fixed I dont go to random machanic shops claiming they fixed my car. Anyway he acted like he really wasn't trying to fix my car. Needless to say I took it to a professional shop and got it fixed right away. If you want professionalism dont go here.
Robert Hougland: I needed a broken bolt extracted from a jackshaft. They said they would call me when it was done. I made a phonecall from the parking lot and before I was done he came out and told me he was done. Plus $5 less than estimated. I really appreciate his prompt attention and get it done attitude.

Kara Haskins: I have called multiple shops in the area about resurfacing and pressure testing heads. Eric was the only person who was kind on the phone and did not talk to me like I was an idiot. I was late bringing them in and he still got them done in two days. He kept in communication and was honest and didn’t try to say it needed more than required. Martin Hendrickson: Great knowledge of engine building
Sean Pfannenstiel: This guy is a joke I took my sbc motor in back in Oct 2021 and he only did some work on the motor and never finished it after a year. He will talk to you like it won't take long to do it and then take a year and not finished. And want money for the work he did .There was times I went to the shop and he's on his computer learning how to put trends in tires and didn't look like he was doing anything ever time I went in there . If you want your motor done i would go somewhere else that cares more about there customers not there racing!!!!!!!

Steve Clark: Other machine shops come and go these guys have been in business almost 50 years... so they must be doing something right... price is good and the quality is very good and garrented.. . they sell you what you need... they do not sell you stuff you don't need like other places do... I had a set of 1970s heads...they needed the exhaust seats change because of unleaded gas.. intakes were fine they don't get hot like the exhaust... places that are in it for the money ..others shops would talk me in too all 16 seats..to make more cash.. automotive machine shops honest I tell you the truth...got my head back complete in 36 hrs... Other shops say a week or 2..and you might get them in a month... I will be going back to CLARKS whenever I need engine machine work....

Eric Manthei: I could not get a wheel hub separated from the steering knuckle, took it in and luckily got same day service. Could not find replacement knuckle, so very happy they could do it without causing any additional damage (only what I had done in my failed attempt). Will certainly trust for next project.
Troy Tils: When it comes to machining motors this guys know they're business hands down. When you walk in and look around some people might think that these guys are slobs and unorganized. But what I see is a lot of people willing to wait for the chance to have these guys to put their magic touch on there soon to be freshly rebuilt daily driver or custom weekend cruiser.

Justin Luttrell: Have taken about half dozen heads to them over the years and 4 out of 6 i have had problems with. Wont be back. They've given me 2 heads back with a bent valve got a head back where they didnt change the cam seals and this last time was the last time got my head back and the cut the seats to hight so. Moral of the story if you got money and like doing stuff twice take it to them.. You get what you pay for..
