Jim has always gotten me what I was looking for , he either had it in stock or he was able to order it. His prices are the best I have found anywhere,I don't even bother going to other shops . John Gilliland: If you want to do business with a place that deceives it’s customers and charges astronomical prices then this place is for you. I called inquiring about a Benchmade knife they had online. I wanted to make sure it was new and see if they could do better on price. He located the knife in the store and he advised it was new and he couldn’t do anything on price due to Benchmade supply issues at the moment. I said that was fine and if I decided would purchase the knife online. Not two minutes passed after I got off the phone and decided on the knife. As I went to checkout, I realized the knife was no longer available online. I thought this was odd as he just had the knife in hand when I was speaking to him over the phone. When I called back, he said he didn’t know who bought the knife and someone must have bought it online. This seemed fishy to me. I also noticed checkout for all other knives was disabled online as well. He supposedly had no idea what I was talking about. I left it at that. I went back on the website 10 minutes later and saw exactly what he did. He disabled checkout and raised the prices to all of his BM inventory by 15%-25% and some over MSRP. I guess he thought his already high prices weren’t high enough. Had I not called in, I would have been able to buy the knife online at stated price and the next guy wanting a BM knife would have also been able to do so at his then listed prices. Seems like this guy cares more about the hustle, no matter at what cost, than ethical business practices. Stay away!

KansasCity Stroller: I have been in this gun shop several times just browsing. The warmness of the employees depends on the day. I have been welcomed as soon as I have walked in the door. I have also been ignored completely.They have a great selection of new and used guns. just one problem. The man who owns the places prices the used guns within reach of the new guns.Before the pandemic, I even tried to ask him about coming down on a FNH FNX9 that he had priced about 50 bucks under new, and he stated that was what he paid for it.If he paid that much, then he lacks common sense. after making a reasonable offer, I decided to try my luck elsewhere and wouldn't you know that a gun shop in Liberty saved the day with the same mode new and only 5 dollars more than what the used gun was going for in this shop.This is a great gun shop to go to and see a model that you might not find,However I highly suggest looking somewhere else. Unless paying high prices is your fetish.

Shakeyfox: Walked in and asked a few questions about folding adapters for AR15s to which I was talked down to in a very demeaning way. Walked out mid sentence… will not go back plus their pistol prices are very expensive add $100 to what you would spend at any other mom and pops gunshop.

They held a great cc course that I attended, but I let it expire while I was stationed in California. I can't say much for ammunition sales as I purchased mine elsewhere, but if it was as good of an experience as the firearms then I'm sure it's great.

dodgeram4x498: Stopped by on a whim. Picked up an AR pistol in 9mm. Was treated nice and the owner himself is very nice. 2 months went by, hadn’t even shot the AR pistol and decided to add another varmint rifle. Since purchased, I had added an upgraded charging handle, ambi safety, trigger, grip, sights , light and a folding stock. I went there with the pistol with the intent of leaving with a hunting rifle. I do understand it is a business first a foremost, I wasn’t just tryin to sell or pawn off the item. The owner wasn’t in when I stopped by. Found the rifle I had been lookin for, offered the AR9 as partial trade only to be offered 25-30% of what I had just bought the pistol for. Not even including popular and often demanded upgrades done. So they could put it back on shelf for more than they sold it to me for originally with optics and all? Didn’t buy the rifle, went to Bass Pro and found it cheaper. Later traded the AR pistol at gunshow for what I basically had in it before accessories. I thought I had found a decent gun store, again I understand it’s not a charity, but when pawn shops sight unseen are offering more without optics and stuff and I’m not even purchasing one from them, sad

Placed on hold for another 15mins then hung up on again. I live 30mins away and simply just wanted to know if my firearms arrived (they close at 6pm and first call was at 5:30pm. So your employees quit working 30mins before end of day?) Extremely disappointed with the lack of service for a SIMPLE request.

Elizabeth Suzanne Winkler: I went to the range last Saturday and I'm greatly disappointed in how we were treated. We arrived at the range a few minutes after 3pm and had to fill out a bunch of paperwork. I checked my receipt and it says 3:19pm. No one informed us that we only had about 40 minutes till cease fire. The posted hours on the building are inaccurate. The website hours are inaccurate. We were told a few minutes before cease fire that we only had till 4pm. We felt like we were ripped off.I saw the lady that rang us up and asked her why she didn't tell us we had less than 40 minutes left to shoot? I stated that the hours are inaccurate on the building and on the website.When I brought this up to the blonde lady, her response was and I quote her exactly...."we are open tomorrow." She should have said, we'll give you a partial refund. Or she could have said, come back tomorrow and we got you covered.I will never return to this place nor will my friends. The saddest part of this is that I came here after watching YouTube videos made out of this place by a Christian guy. 👎

Christopher Borg: I don't write reviews very often. It's actually fairly rare and a business has to stand out to me. Blue steel guns and ammo does that. Not only is their shop filled with interesting and refreshing guns for any shooter but their staff is also superb. I called earlier in the day to find out if they had shotgun front sight beads. That's an odd request for most run of the mill gun stores. Not with blue steel, they had what I needed and they were very friendly about helping me. I spoke to an older gentleman, I didn't catch his name but he was extremely kind to me. We spoke for about 45 minutes just kind of talking about anything under the sun. If I lived closer to raytown this would be my go-to gun store hands down. I felt that their service warranted me writing a review because it was so uncommon to me.

SamsGarageSale: They are one of the premier gun stores and firing ranges in the area. Steve the owner and Maggie who helps run day to day operations are a positive influence in the firearm community. They are fully stocked with everything you could want. They also offer a gun range on site.

Mat Riggs: Tried to arrange a cross state transfer sale with a customer in MO. Called ahead they day before to see what they would charge and make sure things would go smoothly. Everything was confirmed and in line. When I got there though I was told that they "couldn't" do that. That they'd have to book it in and then sell it to my customer. So? that's what I pay them the transfer fee for. Basic stuff any ffl will do. When I asked to talk to the lady who I spoke to over the phone who is their FFL. I was told she wouldn't see me and to GTFO. Put me and my customer way out since both of us had to travel a bit to get there.

Quin: Went in to pick up a FFL transfer. Awesome place and great people to talk to with a great selection and gun range. The gentleman at the counter was laid back and easy going. The woman at the counter was very friendly, attractive and fun to talk to as well! :) I recommend them to family and friends.

Mike P: A friend and I dropped in just to browse and we were welcomed like old friends. I was blown away at the knowledge level of the staff. It’s a new shop so the selection in store is still small but everything they have is top notch and clearly carefully selected. Their gun wall was full of modern and interesting rifles and all their prices were very fair. I plan to spend lots of money with this business. Extra points for being veteran owned and operated.
