Amber Nicole: My family has attended Epic Church off and on for several years now, every one is warm and welcoming and Pastor Bobby always brings some comedy to the service!!! Love that you can let loose feel at home have a laugh or maybe a cry!!! No need to feel pressured to dress to the 9's casual attire is graciously accepted!! Makes mornings easier on mamas with picky dressers!! Epic is really doing what they say, working hard to make heaven more crowded! We love that!
slither ken: This place is epic ;)
Bart Etzenhouser: Good! Preacher relates to young quite well.
Scott Lemmermann: I wish their hours extended to 5pm.
Steven Glaze: Great people making heaven more crowded!
Randy Mosier: Great church. The church team are very connected with current members and guests. We attend a small group that ministers to us on a very personal level. Music is contemporary and leads me closer to Christ. Pastor Bobby Hawk is a great leader and presents timely topics from God's word each week. As a church he leads us to reach outside our church walls to impact our community. We give to several local causes and now have an open session for teens at EPIC Sports Lodge to address the suicide crisis in today's schools. Impressed and Blessed to be a part of a great church.
Ray Patton: Gratifying, the word of God as I like to hear it. Made me feel welcome. Would like to make it my home Church.
Taurus Bull: We started attending Epic back in 2013 and went for a year then had a hiccup kin life and stopped going. We recently went back in late april this year and realized we needed God in our lives even when we have hiccups. A week later my husband ended up having a mild heart attack and had triple bypass surgery. I was falling apart but with some Epic people and family and friends, he and I made it through that very hard time. It was very scary and without the support and prayers we received I dont know how we would of otherwise. God is good and Epic is Epic.
Kristin Jackson: Love this place. Message always hits home. GOD is doing great things here!
Karen Schulz: I LOVE this church!!!!! I never thought I would ever be a part of a church again since I grew up in the catholic church and havent been active in a church environment for over a decade. My husband was not a church going individual as well. One day a friend had mentioned Epic church and I thought i wouldnt hurt to go one time. I went to one service and havent missed one since that day!! My husband came with me one time and the same for him!!!! The pastors make you WANT to be there. It is a family we belong to. One of their views as a church is to be a church where "unchurched" people can go and they are just that!!! Since we have became a part of Epic our life has greatly changed!!! Thank you God for bringing this church and the Epic family in to our lives...we are forever greatful!!!
Lynda Kidwell: I had been searching for a very long time for a Church family to call home. After reconnecting with some old classmates on Facebook I was invited to visit EPIC Church. I visited their web site and read about their values and watched a Podcast.I had to see this first hand. So, I prayed and prayed -- went to my first visit at EPIC and HAPPY DAYS! I was home. I immediately felt welcomed without being crowded and I knew I found my Church. I have been going for a little bit -- still learning the ropes, but I love our worship services and Bible study. Pastor Bobby Hawks is a great leader, down to earth, and makes you feel as if you have been part of the family from the beginning. Everyone is wonderful -- great worship, great music, great lessons.I would invite anyone to visit either one of the campus -- Independence or Grain Valley -- check it out. You may find your Church family is waiting for you with open arms at EPIC Church.
Megan D: I have read the reviews listed for EPIC Church and feel like I also need to reply. My family attends EPIC and have off and on for about 4 years now and we gone almost weekly for the last 8 months or so. I also have a special needs child that has been diagnosed with Autism among a few other diagnoses and I think the church and the staff have been AMAZING with him!He always, willingly went to church with us but was hesitant to attend youth, I made a deal with him that if he tried it once and didn't like it I wouldn't force him to go back. He has always been one that keeps to himself and would prefer to stay home then leave the house. He went once and has been hooked ever since. The head pastor, the youth pastor and both campus pastors are wonderful with him. They go out of their way to say hello to him, ask him how he is doing and to top it off they have talked about how great he is in youth. It has helped Nathan work on his social skills in a place where he feels accepted and safe.In a church many of the people that are there working with the kids are volunteers. They are not educated in the different disabilities of children, but are mostly parents who only have the experiences that their own children provide. They are there to keep our children safe, give them the experience of enjoying the teaching of God and enjoying fellowship with others that want our children to learn what God has sacrificed for each and every one of us.We are each entitled to our opinions but I want to express that they have been wonderful to our family and I have seen so many positive changes in my son that I wanted others to know that this is a positive environment for all children and we love our EPIC family.
Charlotte Joos: We enjoyed the worship and the message when we attended. Our kids liked it there too. However, our children all are special needs having mild Autism. One child does have some difficulty sitting still. We received a phone call 2 days after visiting the church and were told that our son could not come back because he was a distraction. They didn't ask for help with him, didn't want to discuss how he could participate. We were just told he could not come back. We have never experienced such bigotry from any place, let alone a church! Very disappointed and urge others not to put their children through that especially if they have special needs.
